I’m saddened to hear the excitement around external appearances. I would have hoped you would leverage your influence for the kingdom of God and promoting His people as a race set apart for himself. What’s more is she has already shown her disdain for His creation by dismissing what a women is. Very disappointed.

Hi Bindi, I am also a professional woman, a CEO, mental health therapist and business owner with Sister Locks. I feel SOOOO much pride in seeing her and I hope and pray that other women can consider this natural and beautiful, professional or relaxed (depending on how you style it) look! It is beyond worth it!!!!!!!

I didn’t really want to comment LOL because my perspective is so different I totally understand what you were saying and I think in THIS world yes it is absolutely incredible as a African-American woman myself but I think I would honestly be more excited if it was a born-again Christian in the Supreme Court because this woman could have locks and hate God and then I would say things may be changing on the colour(skin) front but to gain the whole world and lose your own soul kind of vibe thing is not really worth celebrating in my opinion. like I understand, like I said I get what you are celebrating and I’m not trying to not celebrate that but it’s really hard for me as a new person in Christ to really celebrate something like that when it has potential to have nothing to do with anything Godly that would change for the best if that makes sense.

I understand what you're saying, but her witnesses as well as her own statements have clarified that she is a woman that believes in God and her faith is what brought her to that table. Review the tapes from the second day when the senator from Texas, senator Cruz tried to belittle her and she took a stand using her faith it's amazing and I'm so proud of her for being her natural self.

@@venitathomasconsultingcare9413 you know what I totally understand what you are saying but they just literally yesterday her if she could define a woman and she said she couldn't because she wasn't a biologist???? those are some weird words for a believer who is a woman!!! I would also be very leery in believing everyone that states they are Christians as we need to watch and see fruit. That statement makes me want to watch super carefully as not a lot of ppl wanna stand up nowadays because we wanna be relevant and not canceled when as followers of Jesus thats not our aim. So I am not saying she isn't a Christian but it would be good to see what she says and does and that would truly show us what's really going on. And also let me clarify I am not talking about her making mistakes, we all do lol but there are mistakes and then there are nominal christians!

Hi Bindi, blessings. My thoughts are: from a worldly/cultural view, yes it is an amazing and wonderful thing that a black women is on the supreme court; but as a christian I am more concerned with is she going to honor God's ways or vote according to the ungodly agenda that is being pushed upon us. I believe that the kingdom of Christ over rules culture. I've just come across your channel and I must say I love it. But I strongly believe that sometimes as believers, black, white, Spanish or what ever the ethnicity maybe can forget that we are first Christian and then everything else. Its funny because I had in mind to post on my page this morning: are you a black, white, etc christian or are you a Christian who is black, white etc. May our Lord continue to bless, use and prepare you and yours for His kingdom.
@aleengaggo3831
@aleengaggo3831 2 года назад
So you are putting the outside appearance before what her heart proclaims… This is why Christ came… that we may put our identity in Him first rather than anything else… skin color or hair does not matter, it is her beliefs and what she stands for. Many of us know she does not stand for true moral values but our flesh has a tendency to look at the outside appearance rather than what is truly important. And this is why the church is where it is today, priorities misaligned. We have come to a place where race and culture come before Christ. Maybe this isnt your intention and I am misunderstanding but it still is a deceptive issue in the Christian world today. May we not be deceived and may we be broken free from that pride and false security.
@larkspurrose3136
@larkspurrose3136 2 года назад
After watching your videos, I found this one to be a little strange. I get your excitement that she is a black woman. But examining her beliefs and character any farther and you see a woman who clearly mocks God's moral order. She cannot even answer the question established in Genesis, what is a woman? Who cares that her hair embodies authentic cultural beauty, when she stands for laws that continue to undermine God's authority and His Laws. The scripture teaches that we are Christians first....Galatians 3:28..There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus...... as one Christian sister to another, I quote Proverbs 31:30.....Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Yes abortion is murder and I can’t support anyone who don’t the difference between a man and a woman. I am a Black woman and I approve this message. You don’ need to a biologist to know there is a significant difference between a man a woman. God is not looking for blacks or whites he is looking for righteousness. Righteousness over everything! I understand the contant creator message but for me righteous is far more important so I don’t support and have been deeply saddened she was selected for such position.

Hello and thank you for your thoughtful and encouraging channel. I am a Christ follower and stay at home, homeschooling mom of 3 and wife to my husband of 11 years. There are many things that we have in common, sister. I praise God for using you to be a blessing and for His purposes and giving you this platform to share that work. I admire much of what you have shared and am in agreement in everything I’ve seen in your videos. However, I was surprised that you didn’t mention in your video the differing ideologies that Ms. Jackson holds to that are opposed to Biblical claims and what Christian’s would define as truth. Some of the policies that Ms. Jackson supports are antithetical to the Word of God. I disagree with any person holding such a supreme position of authority and leadership in the government when they do not value life as God calls us to or have the courage to define what a woman is. That being said, I think her hair is beautiful and wonderfully made, as I hold to the claim that she, as you and I are also, created in the image of God. She is a beautiful woman indeed, but I don’t think that’s as important to note than her ideals. I rejoice that something like her hairstyle has not held her back in her professional endeavors. I don’t think that a person should be required to conform their image or likeness to any ethnicity in order to hold a level professional office or any office for that matter. I do firmly believe that humans must strive to conform themselves to the image of Christ, His character and word. I pray and hope that Ms. Jackson will as she now holds a very important office in our government and that her influence would be one that promotes life and truth.🙏🏼 God bless you and your family.🙏🏼🌸 I hope that you find this message to be an encouragement.

I am going to add onto what I said before when it comes to locs in the Supreme Court or black president just black people in general being honoured or represented and now we can show our sons and daughters that it’s okay to be you and “succeed” when our identity is in Christ where there is no more Jew or Greek or slave or free etc I think you know what I mean Bindi you are a born-again Christian but yeah it’s really difficult to kinda celebrate stuff like that when as a Christian our identity is solely in Christ not in whether locks are in the Supreme Court or we have a black president or a black vice president or whatever and I know that’s not what you are saying but I see some of the comments and it seems like people feel like they can now have a voice or something with identity and with that I think it would be hard for me to really celebrate something like that. Again I totally get where you are logically but I would be super excited if she was a born-again Christian and hopefully she is!!!! that would be amazing so that the world could truly change in the right way

Then I found this video and oh my… how very disappointing that a woman of God is glorifying the appearance of a woman and disregarding the evil in her heart. “For the man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

It’s shocking to understand how well manicured uniformed Locs were considered unprofessional at one point. Locs by a long shot are way more cost effective and healthier than braids. I know my current set of Locs are unprofessional and freeformish. They are diy the grid is bad. My ends are all bubbly, bent, chunky. They aren’t my cup of tea but they got the job done for high demand military career. I remember these issues came up with school children. It’s a attack on being African. Im glad things are changing. I will loose my cool if someone said my daughters locs was unprofessional and couldn’t be warn to school when I take the time to keep them uniform retwisted regularly and keep her ends clipped. That’s why there a thing called uniform and free form locs. Free form locs in my opinion don’t belong in the work place. Uniform Locs do in my opinion do.

I noticed this and remembered that very court case. That case actually vaulted my decision to get locs. I was on my way back to my state of record with a standing appointment for my installation for two days later. Upon sitting in the airport is when I heard the news. I knew that soon I would be trying to work for a company overseas and I did t want anything to hold up that opportunity. Needless to say I did get hired by said company while I had natural hair and a boss told me I deceived them because I interviewed with straight hair. It was actually a twist out gone wrong that left me to blow it out and use a friends straightening brush the morning of my interview. I thankfully do not work for that company anymore and happy to say I have locs and make more with another company. Nothing has been mentioned about my hair outside me attempting space bunny lol. Yes, I too leaped for joy when a woman in her natural glory is even being considered for such a position. I began to research her in hopes they don’t seat her just because she is black but because she is strong like RBG. The others may not like her but they have no choice to respect her stance. So far my research is positive but nothing ground shaking. YET

I’ve never thought in a professional setting a black person should not have braids/locks/Afro, as white women I never judged on that nor held anyone back. It was based on character and work ethic. I do think excessive piercings and tattoos are my “line” in a professional setting and professional dress is something that should be a standard.

Locs are still alien to people in 2022. I like that locs represent an act of rebellion to what is considered the standard of beauty. I beesch that you read and review the history that she is creating, making, and sewing into the lives of black women that are young such as yourself. Young lady, I suggest as an educator and as a black woman who is probably old enough to be your grandmother, that you read the historical figures such as Angela Davis, Sonia Sanchez, and other black women who never removed themselves from their natural stages of hair and what they have done opening the door for judge Jackson so that she is sitting at the table that she is sitting at today. Yes her hair is beautiful, but her academic achievement, her civilian commitment to us as black people, ethnic women of change is taking a shift towards the center of the stage, but we've always been in the background supporting and developing a road for those that are coming after us. We were born leaders, as much as we are born nurturous.

Honestly, the whole black hair thing confuses me (white woman). I have always appreciated more natural styles of Black hair and did not understand the need for all the weaves, wigs, and weird colors. I almost feel as if this is more something self-imposed by the Black community than White societal standards. Locs in the corporate workplace may have simply been seen as too informal, as would a mohawk or neon colors, but, as you said, things are changing. (and now I have to go back and watch some of your earlier videos on locs vs. microlocs vs. braids etc, because I am not aware of the differences) BTW, I am wondering about if there was a learning/acceptance curve on the part of your husband. I assume that, much as you used to wear modern-but-maybe-not-modest-enough clothing, you used to wear makeup and get relaxers. Did your husband take to the new ultra-natural you, or did he require some time?
