Listen for the high to low pitch sound. Kinda sounds like somebody drilling a hole in thick metal. Turn your volume all the way up. The locust's we have this year are smaller than normal only as big around as maybe your little finger. The normal ones are as big around as your thumb.That's just my Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer trailer I used as a back drop.
