Oh dammmnnnn SOUND TEST RIGHT OFF THE BAT! I got you :) What do you think of the Lite? LowFree Lite ⌨: shrsl.com/4o81u LoFree Flow 100 Linear Keyboard ⌨: amzn.to/4djkrRx LoFree Flow 100 Tactile Keyboard ⌨: amzn.to/3A9wXVj
@@TristanPopeyes yes! Just curious if the keycaps are PBT despite being shine through (usually these are ABS material). Curious about the switches if they are as smooth as my Honey Bean silents. Excited to try this Lofree.
@@andrewcatubig9239they do seem to be dbl shot pbt. They feel quite nice. Not the best I’ve ever felt but somewhere in the middle ground above cheap and below Keychron.
I was holding off from buying the flow due to the reasons that was fixed with the flow lite. no 2.4g connection and flip up feet. definitely buying this one.
I totally agree that Kickstarter releases crappy version of products. Most of them have factory defects and almost impossible to return for warranty purposes. Already tried 3x and never been that lucky. But due to my stubborn curiosity, I might give a try on this Lofree Lite (silent gray Lite 100).
@@TristanPope I wish they had a black color to match my other work devices but I think white although the pink is cool. Followup question, how do the keycaps feel? Are they similar to the flow material? They have a particular feel that I absolutely love!
Great video! Thank you! I’m researching different options for travel purposes. Weight is super important. The smaller lite with silent switches seems ideal. Do you know how much it weighs?
the keys can be remapped on the Lofree Flow Lite right as opposed to the Lofree Flow? no tactile switches is a deal breaker. silent tactile would be ideal
Thank you for the review. How is the battery life without lights? Any issues regarding switching from different sources (BT to Wireless to Cable ,etc)?
So nice to finally see a review video of this product. I’m sooo torn between getting this or a Nuphy, but nothing rly beats the sound of a Lofree keeb. Will reserve one now!! Thank you for this insightful video! 🫡
Thanks! I'm one for multicolour keys and thematic key caps being one of my biggest consideration factor for buying my fifteenth keyboard. I've set my sights on the Lofree Wanderfree and might get that first. Low profile doesn't really work for me with my long fingers.
@@pummkinmy favorite is the Keychron Q6 atm. But I’m splitting it into the Q3 with Q0 for less space on the desk. I love pink! Pink and black and teal are great colors.
Hi, im relatively new to the keyboard scene. I notice this Flow Lite is ABS plastic instead of aluminium. And this material turns yellow under UV light and heat. Well i dont type under the sun 😂 but does the Keyboard heats up? Is the oxidization something i have to worry about? Thanks for the answer man. Love your vide!
@@TristanPope i asked Lofree about the yellowing, their answer is as following: “I consulted the product department, and it is a common problem in the industry that ABS turns yellow after being stored for a long time, and this may be difficult to change. I specifically raised this issue with the manufacturer, and the latest reply I received was that they added anti-UV stabilizers to ABS to delay the yellowing of the plastic as much as possible.” What do you think? If you could choose again would you still pick the white color despite the risk of yellowing? Or would you pick the grey color?
I have a question I havent seen anyone address yet, do the ghost linear swirches from flow work with the lite pcb and do the hades switches work on the OG flow pcb? I could really use the added choice of switches!
Can I buy a rofree flow(not lite) and hot-swap it with a silent switch? So I'm wondering if I can buy a silent switch. It's difficult because I don't know much about low profile switches.
Thank you for the in depth review Tristan, I put up a pre order and idk which color to pick! Since the website didn’t asked me at all which colour do I want lol. Which colours do you pick besides the pink one Tristan?
Hi, first of all thanks for this in depth review. Rn I'm using a razer blackwidow chroma v2, which is working absolutely great but it's a bit too bulky. I am still not convinced whether to swap to this low profile keyboard or not, do u have any useful suggestion that can help make up my mind?
Go look at my Keychron videos. Much better choice from what you have this is for travel. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WdRSvDC3D7c.htmlsi=F0yywHQHMsNnGnoW
For the typing feel which do you prefer more? The Lofree Flow 100 or the Lite 100? I would like to know how both versions of keycaps feel overall, is it smooth or textured? Which one is nicer to type on between the two? Thank you for the review, I reserved a spot already as well since the prices after the kickstarter is well, like you said a little crazy and no way I will afford it after then.
Me personally still like the Flow 100 over this. And I prefer the tactile. The keycaps are more textured as well due to the shine through nature of the lite they are more plasticy.
Hi , nice video ... I have recently purchased my first mechanical keyboard a keychron v8 pro and also want to try a low profile keyboard , but now I am more confused between the lofree flow vs lite , my prefrenece is feel and quality , which one should i buy ?
@@TristanPope Thanks for the reply , Right now i only know how tactile feels , i think i will purchase leanier switches for my current keyboard and than decide , one more thing , does not having a keyboard stand and wifi connectivy bother you in flow , and also how is the bluetooth connectivity and battery life.
@@dharmendrasaini7364good questions. I don’t use WiFi or Bluetooth in everyday work. But in tests it was fine. Not great. Just fine. Keyboard stand? You mean feet? The feet are not needed on the flow100 it’s perfect height.
@@TristanPope Is the Flow Lite worth it with the new upgrades, or is the Flow still better than the Flow Lite? I'm just making sure I’m choosing the right one to buy as my first mechanical keyboard.
@@m4mbr4 it’s the exact same. Those switches are literally silent. The only difference would be the specter in the flow. But even that is about a 10% margin of difference.
Hi, really great video ! So, I have a few questions. I first saw the Lofree lite on Instagram and paid the dollar to make a 'reservation' for the product. But I don't know a thing about keyboards and it will be my first one. I plan on using it for school and peaceful gaming, is this keyboard able to handle it in a long term basis ? If I decide to buy customised keycaps, outside of Lofree, will they fit ? (If you already tried of course). If I understood correctly the volume roller (button ? thingy ?) will also work with Mac ? I can't think of anything else but I really want to make a good decision (as it is pricey even with the Kickstarter price), thank you again for your video and have a nice weekend !
For gaming this is not really the keyboard I would get. For school work at the sale price sure. It is only customizable with the lofree switches which are 4 tactile linear these new linear and silent. If you want something you can work on overtime a low profile is not it. Check out my Q6 or upcoming Q3 from Keychron or my even sooner epomaker videos coming soon. They are affordable full size and have a TON of customization. Low profile is niche.
If you want silent all of the offerings are loud except the hades switches. You have to buy the hades separately though. So you can swap them into your current keyboard.
Hm, one would wonder if the shinethrough keycaps can be used on the original flow to make the original shinethrough. And why's there no black version of lite? It's not a fridge it's a keyboard for Christ sake.
@@TristanPope totally. But I think this just helps me realize even more how overpriced the nuphy is. Probably why it's on sale half the time for 100. Which even still is just to dang much
@@nsquezada27 Honestly until I got a full sized 200$ mech keyboard I didn't realize either. The QUALITY of an all aluminum Q6 compared to these is INSANE. And so much more "affordable" in the grand scheme of buy once. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WdRSvDC3D7c.html
