Log arch - first use

Scott... I can't tell you HOW MAN times I've THANKED YOU for sharing the measurements of your log arch!! I built mine to your specs and I've LOVED it EVERY time I've used it!! Just used it again today to move some mammoth sycamore logs!

Neat to see another method of getting firewood out of the woods. I've been just bucking the logs right where they lay, using a $40 pickaroon to bring the rounds out to the nearest trail on my property, then hauling with a little dump cart back to my splitter.

cool! Quick upgrade suggestion- weld a 30" section of chain where you use the tie down strap and a hook on the opposite side so once you lift the log, the chain drops down and all you have to do is hook it on the other side

Start cutting it into rounds to lighten it up and plop the rest down strategically to finish it off. Fantastic idea!

It's nice working by yourself. No one hollers at you for not backing the atv right to the trailer.😊

Looks great. But I would think a "spine" over the top "T" would keep it from bending/ breaking the weld.

I like it. Building one just like it right now.

Now instead of bending to try and find the chain, take a piece of wire and push it from one side under the log, then hook the chain onto the tip of the wire and then pull the wire and chain from underneath the log. Now you can easily unhook the chain from the wire without bending down. I like the way you think.

All these over engineered log haulers are a big waste of time. I see the one that has a simple grab and pull as the best solution to getting wood into the ramp fo4r sawing.

This is a very ancient technology. It's nothing new. The pipe industry and construction field have used these since "forever". It is most commonly called a "Grasshopper".
