I agree I feel like a lot of the things that happened to rory is a reflection of the choices she makes and is realistic even if the viewers want a princess like story

I agree that I would never take a person back who did this, but we have to look at the whole picture. Logan was always a player and had multiple girlfriends at a time before Rory. After he thought he lost her, he went back to his old life because he knew he wouldn't find someone like Rory again. He said he was depressed and I believe him. It's pretty obvious that Logan literally has nobody in his life that gives a crap about him except for Rory. Logan was verrrry faithful to Rory, especially considering his history. Rory could've taken a break in their relationship instead of being passive aggressive, but she was naive and young. Also, I find it really ironic that she's mad at Logan considering she slept with an actually married man whose heart she shattered and felt no remorse for the wife. Rory has ACTUALLY cheated so many times, she needs to calm down. She just never felt good enough for Logan. She was always the one chasing him until after his accident and she took care of him and after the long distance relationship. After that point, Logan needed Rory way more than she needed him.

@@rustjones385 i see the argument. I don’t think just because Dean cheated with her, doesn’t mean that she deserves to be cheated on or should just accept it if it happens. She was young, knew it was a mistake, and was led to believe by Dean that they were already separated and going to be divorced. Not saying at all that what she did was ok. I also understand that this is Logan’s first real relationship. That however, doesn’t excuse sleeping with a horde of girls he has history with the second there’s an out for him. The fight they had did not refer to any form of break up at all (at least in Friends; Rachel said "a break from us"). They just fought over how he treated Jess and her lack of direction. It wasn’t even about the relationship. It makes no sense to rationalize it as a break up somehow. It’s giving more that he’s a playboy and immediately does something he’s been thinking about but unable to do, sleeping around. His choice of people to sleep with is sus. The way he talks about them is gross. If he was so depressed from somehow rationalizing that he "lost her", why not at least shoot a message to her instead of jumping into bed. He didn’t try anything. She didn’t contact him because she wanted to cool off only, she didn’t think she lost him completely. There’s also proof that he didn’t see it as a clear break up, he admitted he only said it to Honor as a way to shut her up. The whole thing is sus. He habitually sleeps around, thinking it’s what he wants, but realizes it’s not. However, they weren’t truly broken up. It was vague even for him.

@@donttrip49956 yeah everything you're saying is facts. I'm not excusing his behavior. His playboy behavior is what hurt Rory the most since the beginning. The way he talks about the women is disgusting too. For me personally, I would never date a person this promiscuous to begin with, because they usually never change. But Rory loved him a lot and I believe he loved her too. She can't really erase his history with women but at least he's improving. He pretty much proved himself when he even handled the long distance stuff. And Rory even kissed Jess too while with Dean. She has a looot of issues.

@@rustjones385 he does love her, and he does prove it later. He made a complete 180 after his accident. However, the show is portraying what he did here as okay and understandable, not the relationship shattering thing it should’ve been. As I said, he reverted to being a playboy because he’s been content with that all his life but realizes it’s not what he wants anymore. He changed after that. However, he shouldn’t have the luxury of fucking anyone he wants to make this discovery AND get to keep the girl with no repercussions. He did cheat on her. He slept with others so fast, after one single fight. Rory accepting him without much questioning in the same night she found out, is giving a person who can’t live without a boyfriend and doesn’t know how to quit relationships for her own good. He didn’t disclose anything to her, manipulates her to thinking the girls he slept with were just vicious sluts out to break them up, and that he thought they were broken up (even though in actuality, he himself was unsure). He’s a doer, he’s assertive, faces problems and things head on, and meets a girl who’s insecure, indecisive and agreeable. He knows she’ll struggle to quit him. It would be a better message to send out if broke up. Become friends even, just have him honestly be kind to her with no strings attached, have him build that trust back. Just having him have an accident and that made her completely forgive him is disappointing.

@@donttrip49956 yup she should've done better but as you said, Rory was highly insecure around that time, especially after Jess leaving her. I think she started falling less for his grand gestures around season 7 and even called him out. Rory was eventually unimpressed by Logan and I think she never forgave him for cheating on her and also when he called her out as another trust fund kid. After that she realized that even though he's always nice and generous to her, subconsciously he's still judging her. So Rory wanted to be independent and not use his family name. I'm glad the show chose to portray this scene this way, because there are a lot of women like Rory that end up falling for stuff like this. Any woman can fall into an abusive relationship if she meets the right guy who knows how to push all the right buttons

Rory was also raised to believe that right and wrong doesn't apply to her; both her mother and her grandparents disregarded any love interest for not being good enough, she cheated on Dean and got away with it, then cheated with Dean and got away with it, cheated on Logan and got away with it, the woman stole a boat and her grandparents were mad that she had to do community service while other people would have gone to prison for the same actions. She's a rich trustfund kid who thinks herself better than other rich trustfund kids, she doesn't mind slut shamming or body shamming other people; she called a woman "a hyppo" in printing and her family laughed about it for heavens sake... they deserve each other.

If I don't hear from someone after 3 weeks after a fight, I think it's safe to assume you're broken up. Did Logan cheat? No. But did ROry have the right to be upset? Yes.

Unless it is clear and has been expressed to both parties, nobody is broken up and Logan gaslighting her into thinking it is, was just another reason to despise him. 🤦‍♀️

TBH, it depends; S1 Rory was great with S1 Dean, after his character assassination i can't see anyone with that guy. Jess is backwards; S6 Jess would have been the perfect march for S1 Rory, after that, he's way too good for her. Logan is perfect for endgame Rory; they're both just as spoiled and entitled, actually, Logan faces much more consequences for his actions than Rory does; they're both horrible, but the narrative calls Logan out on it, while it never does Rory, she gets away with everything.

I would even say directly aware of the end of the relationship, dude didn't even have the guts to break up with her himself, or even confirm "was this just a fight or was this a fuck you, we're done fight"? Even Logan isn't so daft that he thought it was "understood" that they were over. HE thought that, therefore Rory should magically know as well.

I would usually agree, but when my ex and I broke up/had a break, it left us in a grey area where he refused talk to me for months. We both knew it was over, he just didn't have the guts to end it, so I ended it by sleeping with someone else. He called it cheating for the first couple of weeks when he found out and i was fine with that, whatever to make himself feel better (he wanted to break up but be the innocent party), after a bit he admitted that it wasnt cheating, and yes he was just being a coward not ending it properly. Should also say we'd been together for 4 years and were planning on getting married when he ended it out the blue (at the time it felt out the blue) so I had no regrets. Still dont

When he was convincing Rory to get back together he told her that he only said that to Anna (Ahna? Hows it spelt?) to get her off his back (surely implying he didnt mean it) and then in this episode he claims they were broken up. In my mind we were broken up so in my mind I wasnt cheating 😐 Also he said a bunch of disparaging things about the women he'd slept with 🤢🚩and didn't tell Rory he'd been with someone while they were seperated (I feel like he should have mentioned it not gone into details but you know something 🤷🏻‍♀️). Its all a bit icky to me.

No, he didn't. He SHOULD have communicated with her and confirmed the breakup rather than his fait accompli approach, but he was genuinely under the impression that they were broken up because the wording of their conversation was not clear to both parties. Weasel words hurt everyone, but Rory only wants to hold him accountable.

Pls watch back their fight that he said made him assume it was a break up. I would never in 100 years assume a break up after a fight like that. It was over how he treated Jess and her lack of direction. How the heck was anyone supposed to take it as a break up? He himself wasn’t sure if it was a breakup. Rory confronted him about breaking up without telling her and he said he only told Honor that to shut her up. He said he was unsure. The honest truth is he felt done with the relationship after a fight and let out his stress by sleeping around, which usually works for him. Only this time, it made him realize he was in love with Rory. Doesn’t erase that he cheated on her to get to this conclusion. Now he’s gaslighting her so that she won’t leave him.
