Yeah she's a wonderful young actress and supposedly she is going to play X 23 again. I think she's 18 or 19 now but that's perfect for the comic version of her character because in the comics she was first introduced as a preteen age range and then later as a young adult. Dafne's parents are both actors so it's in her DNA
More than that though, she was so interesting to watch when she isn’t in rage mode. When she’s just taking up space and how she looks at people, how she interacts with her environment. Truly great acting. Dafne Keen will have a great career if she continues with acting.
Yea, I dont remember people praising her like ttheyy should've when this came out Maybe because it's a "superhero movie"?? Or because Jackman took up all the attention
Adamantium is stronger than vibranium, it also holds an edge better. Vibranium is tough but also has the ability to REDIRECT MOMENTUM. Captain American's shield is made of both Vibranium and Adamantium. The star at the very centre is Adamantium, nothing is getting through that (except Thanos' sword or yashida's flaming sword.). Adamantium also doesn't take paint -- that is why the star is silverish. The rest of the shield is Vibranium and is painted Red White and Blue. When a tank fires its gun at Captain American he takes it on the Adamantium star and lets the Vibranium redirect it. You will notice when Caps' sheild is damaged its the periphery vibranium that is broken. The star almost never is.
My daughter and I watched this together one time. We both looked at each other through tear covered eyes and she told me “I think one time is enough with this movie”. We’ve never watched it again, until I just now watched it with you. It’s so good, but so overwhelmingly sad.
It was the last movie I saw with my mom before she passed. I used to watch the x men movies with her on vhs all the way up until Logan. I feel like the message of the movie is to let go of the past and embrace the future as depressing as that sounds. Wolverine sacrificed himself so the future of the x men could live on.
I agree that this movie is very depressing and out of all the X men movies it's the 1 that I'm least likely to watch because of how sad it is. However, I wouldn't put this movie on the same type of pedestal as Schindler's List, a movie that you definitely don't really want to watch more than one time.
Patrick Stewart is in my top ten favourite actors, and Hugh Jackman never disappoints. It was a bittersweet ending to a great pair of characters, and felt more realistic, as you can't always win and not forever. Very emotional and yet satisfying to conclude their saga like this.
I remember going to the theaters to see this with my wife. I was never any theater that fell silent at the end of the movie. There were so many people crying and sobbing. It was such a great touch for them to tie in the prophecy from the previous movie.
In case anyone is wondering how Laura knew how to drive, at the Alkali laboratory they were trained to be assassins and were trained on many skills in order to basically be like a CIA operative. Computer skills, espionage, hand to hand combat, languages etc. Whichbis why Laura was suchba good fighter and also knew how to drive a car
I grew up in Perth, and one of Dad's friends had a farm outside of the city. He used to let me and my brother drive the Jackaroo around. I hadn't ever forgotten, but now that you mention it, I realize it is indeed a precious memory.
Hugh Jackman did an outstanding job in this last role and it'll be remembered for a long time by Wolverine fans. I'm certain the studio will bring back Logan but it just won't be Hugh Jackman. They'll make up some story that lying in a grave for such a long period of time gave him his youth back and he regenerates into a younger self because of the serum had an unforeseen lasting effect and also we know the movie making business always wants to make more money. Best Wolverine movie ever.
I'm no comic expert, but from what I can tell. Adamantium is physically stronger, but Vibranium is more versatile. It often appears strong because it disperses kinetic energy and not allowing solid impacts hurt it as much. That being said, I personally believe that Adamantium could theoretically cut Vibranium, but not break it.
This is pretty accurate as I understand it. Vibranium is a more useful material in tech, and it's also significantly easier to work with than adamantium, because adamantium is almost unbreakable once it cools, and it has some absurdly high melting point. Vibranium would be more like a spring-steel with a lot of flexibility, plus some comic-book magic properties of redirecting energy; where adamantium might be more like tungsten, except even harder and with much better mechanical strength. But both metals are way stronger than anything we have in the real world currently, at least in some comic settings (things like this tend to vary across writers and over decades of comics).
Beyond the Deadpool films Logan is the only X-Men related film to be Rated R along with Deadpool of course. Also Deadpool 3 of course will feature both Wolverine and Deadpool with Logan wearing an outfit inspired by his Yellow and Blue Astonishing X-Men outfit which is like a modernization of his classic Yellow and Blue outfit. No idea if this is an alternate Wolverine from a different timeline or if this is the Wolverine from the movie timeline meaning it's the same Wolverine from Logan but before the events of this film so his death is not undone in anyway. I do like the idea of Logan wearing a classic inspired outfit before the events of Logan would make sense with his depiction in the comics we see in this film along with the kid with the Wolverine action figure like those have got to be inspired by an outfit Wolverine actually wore in this universe. Also Deadpool 3 is also Rated R so we'll be seeing him again cutting guys out and alot of blood and guts so that good.
Didn't they talk about something to do with the multiverse? (If I remember right, it was on New Rockstars, plus the fact that DP have Cable's Bracelet...maybe just time travel?)
@@MidnightHowling Yeah.... SPOLIERS According to leaks the TVA from Loki have captured Deadpool for his actions from the post credit scene in Deadpool 2 where he pretty changed caused a bunch of alternate timelines. He is then recreated by the TVA to help them fix the Multiverse by trying to get rid of a certain universe. Rumours are that they'll be pulling from House of M and that there's a universe where Magneto was successful in X-Men 1 trying most of the worlds population into Mutants with non Mutants being the minority. Magneto rules over the world along with his Daughter Wanda and the X-Men and Brotherhood of Mutants with most of the X-Men members having joint him. This universe also has The Avengers who were defeated by Magneto and his fellow Mutants with Wolverine leading a rebel force. This is all just rumours and there also mention that they'll be different versions of Logan and Deadpool as well so we'll not sure if the Logan we see in the leaks is Deadpool's Logan from his timeline or the Logan from this alternate universe.
@@CaptainAmercia STILL SPOILERS Hold up, according to what you're saying (and the rumours/leaks), DP and the mutants will finally be owned by marvel? I mean...multiverse is the only logical thing to finally get mutants in the MCU. Hm...I'd rather not be excited, just in case lol. I don't read the comics, but basically House of M is Magneto winning, right? Is Quicksilver following his sister? And what is "TVA"? (Sorry, too much questions, I know..) Brain's overloading, thanks for the info, though.
@@MidnightHowling So the TVA (Time Variance Authority) was introduced in Loki. They're a group who monitor the multiverse and can prune timelines if they are deemed too dangerous to exist. They also arrest people who alter the past or future which can lead to branched timelines that then can go on to clash with each other causing a massive mess. So they're like Time Police making sure the timelines don't get out of control and bleed into each other which creates an incursion between world leading to one being destroyed or them both being destroyed by crashing into each other. The TBA itself kind of exists in the Null-Time Zone dimension beyond time itself. The MCU takes place on Earth-1999999 or Earth-616 according to the MCU itself but the TVA monitors every timeline and universe so it's not isolated only to the MCU. Pretty much they arrest Deadpool for messing with the timeline but as he's useful they take advantage of his skills in assisting them with fixing an out of control Timeline. Could be the Fox timeline in general or the House of M inspired timeline. House of M is a storyline where Wanda pretty much created a whole universe for herself where Magneto won and most of the worlds population is made up of Mutants. Everyone in this timeline remembers nothing of the past only Wolverine is the only person who remembers life from the real timeline and goes on to recruit hero's to help him. I can't remember who but there's a character who unlocks the hero's real memorises so they can remember their real world and life's leading to them helping Wolverine in stopping whatever happened. For the film we're not sure how this universe is created but as marvel now own the rights to X-Men they're free to feature anyone from The Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four together.
19:08 this here like they had a little happy dinner and all but something so horrible and sad happens like the ones who survive are Laura and Logan like they really never should have stayed the night they just endangered the family it's so sad they were killed including Charles, the boy playing the son of the family he plays mj a vampire in a show called legacies.
35:58 Keep this in mind when thinking of the film, Oscar: Though not a writer _per se,_ (at least not a credited one) Hugh Jackman was very much involved in developing the story from the get-go.
This was the FIRST X-men movie I saw (yes, I went totally backwards with them... sorry!) but felt like it was such a privilege when I saw people saying it was the "best" one lol. I was very impressed with Laura's "on the offensive" attitude... it reminded me of (and prompted me to look up and review videos of) the way REAL wolverines (the animal species) actually DO act when defending themselves... if you haven't seen any of that yet, just try searching on youtube phrases such as "wolverine and wolf". I would not be surprised if the movie producers did research on real wolverine behavior, and/or the actress who played Laura perhaps studied it :D
Yeah right that’s awesome. I think one of the hardest things about acting is letting go of fear of failure or judgement. One of the reasons why generally kids are so good at acting without much experience, they just don’t care like adults do 😆
@@thecocoacouch That's definitely an interesting thought! :) Speaking of acting in general especially the fear of judgment thing... I've had an interesting experience with that-- while I've never acted "professionally", at one point I got into it as a hobby ONLY because I had watched a particular live show inside of a certain amusement park SO many times (and seeing the same actors and their little mannerisms over and over), it occurred to me: HEY- they are having a LOT of FUN. Hmm... maybe I want to do that! So, I basically had some really good role models, lol. But what complicated things was: I had NO experience, not even with any little school plays or ANYthing (and I was a late 24 years old too!)... and I did not even really like public speaking, i.e. doing class presentations etc). But I was VERY motivated and so basically taught myself to act (doing my first big audition was the SCARIEST thing in my LIFE lol). But I actually started getting some community theater roles, even a couple big ones :) Part of my motivation (and relative lack of succumbing to fear compared to what it could have turned out to be)... stemmed from the fact that I knew my acting was just to ENTERTAIN people... not like a school presentation where the main point was to be judged 🤣
Hey Oscar. If you really love Hugh Jackman then check him out in a movie called Prisoners. It's in my top 10 of all time. Go in blind if you do decide to give it a look.
It was excellent. I was surprised he didn't receive an Oscar nomination for that and for this role. (I think they underrate actors that have appeared in superhero movies in general. Another example would be Jeremy Renner's performance in Wind River in 2017.) I also enjoyed his performances in Les Miserables and The Greatest Showman.
@@peterphilly4148 Agreed. I thought everyone in Prisoners was giving Oscar (no pun intended) winning performances. What a cast Jake Gyllenhall, Viola Davies, Maria Bello, Paul Dano, Melissa Leo, Terence Howard and of course our man Hugh. I would Oscar to react to this.
this is the first video i have watched of yours, great reaction. idk if youve seen deadpool or already put it on the channel. im about to go look now actually lol. but if not deadpool and deadpool 2 soon. deadpool 3 comes out in july
That reminds me: If YOU haven't seen it yet, I'd suggest that you first watch "Schindler's List" by yourself, then watch HIS reaction to it... that one is my favorite on his channel. I emphasize "you watch first" because it took ME so LONG to realize that if I go watching reactions to something I haven't seen, then try to watch the full movie myself, I do NOT get the same emotional impact that I've actually learned to appreciate. (It was only since I first saw "Inside Out", that I actually started appreciating emotional movies lol).
Intersting reading about it, the X-Men are gone; two reasons (what I read) either Xavier killed them all through his dementia OR Logan did when he was tricked by Mysterio (from a comic the movie was sort of based on). Either way odd.
This one is pure suffering and it was so well done! Having a good script seems so rare these days, particularly in fantasy films; but this was masterfully written. All the aspects are serious cinema. I wish this was the direction the MCU took after "Infinity War" but they're kinda lost LOL Love your choice of films! Cheers!
"Adamantium" is from greek myth .. an indestructible metal used by Hephaestus, he makes the gods weapons of it. The word "adamant" is derived from it, meaning of unbending opinion. In DC, Wonder Womans bracelets are made of it. The "adamantium" In Marvel, however, is a man-made alloy, that is just called "adamantium" because its a good hard metal. So Id presume Vibranium is stronger in Marvel.
@@markhill3858 I'm not an expert, but just based on a bit of quick googling that seems to be the general consensus. EDIT: Vibranium absorbs force but can be broken, Adamantium is pretty much indestructible.
@@shirosai615 right :) then the question arises .. is DC adamantium better than marvel adamantium .. and/or vibranium? I guess yes since in DC its actually the metal of the gods :)
I looked into it too because I’m also a bit nerdy but I got the impression that Vibranium absorbs a tremendous amount and is super durable but Adamantium is stronger? I guess it depends on what the writers need but I heard that Adamantium has cut through Vibranium before. 🤷♂️
Apparently the actual coords are just a field and the real life eden is the Plaza Blanca in New Mexico. I'm not sure if they built the set on location or not but I doubt they would be allowed to leave it if they did. Also damn you for making me get curious and look that up.
I like watching logan reactions from actual x men fans Can someone recommend me other good reactions from people who watched the x men movies like this one?
May I suggest a reaction to The Last Emperor (1987) by Bernardo Bertolucci? It's a movie about the final emperor of China. Highly recommended movie. The movie itself won the Best Picture in the 1988 Oscars. I hope you'll love it.
22:57 should go for the dude head cuz he stronger younger fast healer so go for his head. The son of the family shouldn't have attacked like you have a bat and that guy is grown big strong guy with weapons for hands like why . The mutant shouldn't have helped the bad guys track the girl like never should have trusted the bad guys and when he was going to blow himself up he shouldn't have warned the bad guys like seriously.
Logan is my #1 favorite X-Men movie in the franchise. It was so good and emotional. I remember seeing this in theaters with a friend. When the credits rolled the theater was dead silent and my eyes were a waterfall. My friend and I walked out of the theater quiet. It was a fun experience. Hugh Jackman should’ve been nominated an Oscar for this. Now I’m curious how they’re gonna portray Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie since Hugh Jackman is coming back for the role. I’m glad u enjoyed it.☺️😭🤧🤔❌🩸💉🏞️
They cover a young childs skeleton in adamantium. She will never be able to grow any bigger than she currently is. In fact i imagine she will suffer from deformities
