Also there’s just sooo many new machining channels now it’s hard to support them all. However you are The Godfather of them all. Don’t give it up please. Lol. Maybe do a project series like a tool casting kit or likewise. Either way I’m here as long as you are making videos. Thanks again
I hope those skeletal remains keep making videos for another twenty years! By then I'll definitely be at room temperature myself. Best wishes Mr. Pete.
Please dont stop. I actually had to go to your channel to see if you had any new videos and seen this one. So its a good chance it is the algorithm. I learn something in almost all your videos. Thankyou!
Mr Pete I am going to say it is You Tube and not the viewers or your content. Many of the channels I am subscribed to I very seldom get notifications any more. I always hit the like button on yours and any others I am subscribed to. So don't feel too bad they are doing it to lots of channels. Wishing you good health from Texas
Dear Lyle, if I may take a page from your book…. Not to brag but rather to share some good news, luck and great joy….. I was gifted a “Hardinge Speed Lathe” , it is a state of disrepair and has more rust than paint, it is going to be so much fun and keep me out of trouble this winter…. Yes it is winter here in South Africa. Best regards Dennis
Hi Mr.Pete. I have been watching your videos for the last few years. I'm soon to be a toolmaker and instantly liked your videos. Retire, if you must, but Please Leave the Content! I know you as tubalcain and did get confused seeing listings for Mr Pete. I need your direction when my other journeymen fail to explain. Thanks. 👍🏼
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. It pleases me that I have helped you. My videos will remain on the platform indefinitely. I will continue to make videos for a few more years I hope
If I could only see one video a week it would be yours. I really enjoy watching and learning from you. Keep your chin up and doing what you can. Thanks for all that you do.
I never miss a video and I often go back to watch ones that I have already seen. RU-vid without Mr. Pete is like morning without coffee......Not good! Thank you Mr. Pete!!!
I'm not a machinist, but certainly you have become my teacher. Teacher in machining, which sure helps understand what the employees are doing, but must importante a teacher of life. Thank you very much.
Please keep going. I really enjoy and check your channel regularly. Also, start uploading back content chronologically to Rumble and other sites with monetization. Expand audience.
Mr.Pete , yt is full of trash , but your channel is one of the fantastic ones , full of real knowledge and friendships , from who loves teaching . We are here , don't worry . Best regards from Brazil .
I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed - and still do - your many videos over the years! I've learned so much from you and become a much better machinist thanks to your gift of teaching. Keep going as long as you are able; you are greatly appreciated! Your brother in Christ in Northern PA.
Ive been watching for about 10yrs now. Love the content!! Keep it up. You’ve helpedme tremendously in the shop and in the entertainment department! Good stuff 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We all encourage you to continue with the videos. Even if the immediate return isn't great, they will continue to be a source of income for your family for years to come.
Please continue the videos. There may be fewer people watching, but you are greatly appreciated. Your stories are always interesting insights into the history of metal working.
I enjoy watching your videos i hope you keep making them. I love going to sales and flea markets . I have not got to go much in the last 2 years . I have way more tools and stuff than i can ever use but i am always looking for the next good buy. Keep doing what you like to and dont worry so much about what is going on every thing changes.
Promised my wife when I retired 3 years ago that I was not going to buy any more tools. Never gave her an exact date so still buying toys mean tools. Still have a box of tools that I had in work and have no room in my tool chests or tool cart. Guess I have to purchase another tool chest.
How many students did you teach over the years.... Must be a lot of men out there today that know how now. You definitely make a difference which we should all strive to do.
Mr. Pete you are much like my old fishing buddy. He is 81 years old uses a modified walker to assist him to get into the river to fly fish. I aspire to be like the both of you fine gentlemen one day. As long as you are able and enjoy making RU-vid videos keep going. As I age I understand more how important it is to pass along history and wisdom to the current and future generations. I really enjoy a lot of today's technology but the technologies of years ago is something that keeps me moving forward. It is the foundation on which I can always rely on. The current Generations are amazed at the things us old guys can do without having too use computers and digital technology.
Mr. Pete, please continue to make your videos for as long as you physically can. I’ve been a viewer for several years now and I think your content is as good as ever. I’m in my 70’s as well and don’t even have a shop anymore, just love watching you.
Keep up the good work Mr. Pete!! you are an American Icon! your videos are AWESOME!. I have shared many of them in my Manufacturing classes in Maryland!
I know im just 1 viewer...but it's a guaranteed view!! I've always enjoyed your videos and will continue to enjoy them if you keep on making them. Thanks for all that you do. Take care Mr Pete!!
Thanks again Mr Pete I have always enjoyed your videos and appreciate your lifetime of service even in retirement you are still teaching Greetings from an apprentice fitter in ireland
Mr. Pete, I always look forward to your next video. As long as you enjoy making these, you will always have us looking forward to future ones so don't call it quits yet. We need you
I have to admit that I have not been as good of a follower as I had been.......no idea why. I hope you keep producing content, I do enjoy it immensely. P.S. at 78-9 you are still a young man!
Please don't give up your channel. I've enjoyed you for an awful lot of years. I even came your meet and greet. In my book your a national treasure. Maybe if you tried rapping your dialogue it would open a whole new world for you? Naw, stay your charming crusty old self. Thank you for everything.
Pete, I was just thinking the other day what we new (hobby for me) machinists would do without the ( "Old Boys") taking the time to pass on their knowledge and you pop in with this video. Pete, We defiantly enjoy you taking the time to teach us. I'm hoping for 5 more years minimum. Thanks, Mike
Thank You Mr. Pete. You would be missed. If you enjoy doing what you do, do it. Blessed are those who educate. Keep up the great work you do. Thank you for your service !!
I love your videos as soon as I see your post I stop what I’m doing and watch it. I don’t care if you are showing grass growing or paint drying. It is you I enjoys watching and listening too.
Mr Pete, yours was one of the first RU-vid channels I subscribed to and your videos encouraged me to start my own channel. If you still enjoy doing it please don't give up, your videos are an inspiration and an education to many many people.
Please continue making videos. I have learned so much from you and your videos. I look forward to continuing to learn. Thank you for your willingness to share knowledge!

Thank you. Hang in there Mr Pete. I have noticed that I am not getting notification as consistently or as quickly as I should. I have watched everything that you put out that I know about. I will continue to watch for as long as you want to share things with us.
Thanks for the video Mrpete 👍👍 your content is really interesting to me and I watch all your videos ,keep posting as I look forward to seeing what your doing. Really like the vintage catalogues of machinery and tools you show. Stay safe and healthy
I have owned a Drill Doctor for 25 years.. I've had great results and have zero complaints.. Also,it sharpens masonry bits with excellent results.. The company was out of Oregon originally.. Love that Starrett square..
Same here! I bought one similar to that in the Vid, and about 4 years ago, I bought the latest version, and gave the older one to my son. Try as I might, I was never able to hand grind a drill bit to my satisfaction. Drill Dr.'s are fast and easy to work with and do a GREAT job.
A Drill Doctor is on my list. They bought us one at a job and we loved it! Until another shift worker messed something up on the holding fixture/collet. Funny, at another job I was the go-to for sharpening bits by hand. Not good, not bad at it but for the shop the drills should cut evenly.
I watch all your videos Mr. Pete, and have for many years now. You and Abom79 took me from a zero time beginner when I retired 10 years ago as a policeman to what I consider to be a marginally competent journeyman machinist today. You showed me how to run a mill and a lathe for my gunsmithing business which came in handy. And, I can now make pretty much anything I need from the hardware store instead of driving 30 miles....although it may take me a couple of hours to do it. Thank you SO MUCH for everything, and please don't quit. BTW: one suggestion. You produce excellent videos....how about a "behind the scenes" video on how you make your videos?
Thank you for watching, I am glad you like my videos. I have considered making a behind the scenes video for many years. Believe it or not, I’m not sure how to approach it. L O L
I like your grandchildren. You must be so proud. Thanks for all your hard work. I watch all your videos. I’m 79 going on 80 years old. I’ve only been practicing machining project for about three years. I consider your channel critical for helping me get started. I hope you live to a hundred also.
I enjoy all of your videos, especially the auctions, but I would like to see more project videos. Like making something on the lathe or your milling machine. I have learned a lot watching those videos. Keep it up.
Don't give up too soon, Mr. Pete. Your videos are educational as always. I have several Drill Doctors, some bought just for the diamond wheel! Love to see your take on them.
That caracuture is spot on, Good to hear your voice and see your face Lyle, I don’t think age has any bearing on doing what you like and know about (you’re a fountain of knowledge and wealth of everyday common sense). Lord willin I’ll be 72 in the fall and seeing how MaMa’s new Hip is working real good, it’s time I get my Artesian lathe home and see what all it needs. Sure glad I don’t have far to haul it 😃
I hope you decide to keep making videos. I have learned as much by watching your videos and instuctional, as any book I read on machining. So I'll watch. And try "Apple I Tunes" for your Phone transfers. It is more then music, it's a tool.
Lyle - I enjoyed watching this video as much as all the others over the past many years. Hang in there - I always either learn something from your video or it helps to enable my continuing efforts to plunder tools. I'm thinking viewers always drop off some during the summer - I know that I spend more time outside in the evening and don't catch as many videos like yours until catch up time in the fall. I've mentioned before my brother in law who was my junior high shop teacher. He was offering me advice when needed and helping each other out when he was 83. He never showed any signs of illness until one day he was diagnosed with brain cancer and was gone in 6 weeks. But until he got sick he was still passing along guidance. Hang in there - you never know who you are going to help and perhaps influence into a career path, valuable invention or satisfying hobby.
A ten in lathe is something fifty years ago, I was confident I would have one by my current age. Thanks for sharing Mr Pete 👍 Please eat properly and exercise regularly.🙏 I'm not ready to give ya up💔 You've been a well of education 😁👍 Me think our Yer tube is trimming, sad.
