Loved the film and the TV show. Just saw the TV show on Tubi... finally in order and all of the shows. Unlike when it originally aired when I was a kid.
What a ridiculous system we have. Theres 2 really dumb things going on here, first off, it should have just been an "R". It's not a kids movie, it never should have been marketed that way. And having to cater to these tight assed folks that wont even help you....crazy. I've been waiting forever for a cut to restore the Love Shop sequence.
I often wonder what MGM executives were expecting when they "green lit" the script for production. Did they expect a PG all along? Or did they expect an R but later decided a PG was necessary to ensure maximum box office (remember MGM was in bad financial shape during the mid 1970s)? It certainly was a different time... BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES (1970) was given a G rating which would never happen today.
Apparently they're going to remake Logan's Run, but unfortunately Logan will be cast as female. So that means they can't be called 'Sandmen' anymore, and it will be even less like the novel than the original movie was. Its ridiculous. It means it will be a movie about two females escaping the city of domes. I love Logan's Run, but i wouldn't care about a female duo remake. Makes no sense at all and has zero relation to the novel. Hollywood's feminist war on men continues.
