I saw it in the theater in Champaign Illinois, maybe ten times. Read the book about 50 times, there were naughty words in there! Then the TV series with Donald Moffat and that hovercraft abortion they had. The girl was gorgeous too. Loved it!
What a Groovey Psychedelic Episode Man. I really Dig the Kids moving to Dreamy Sounds of Spaceadelic while surrounded by Oil Slide Projectors, Coloured Catherine Wheels, and Diffuser Screens. ARRR those were the days! 😊👍
Hard to believe, but Roscoe Lee Browne - the actor who plays Box? He starred as the voice of Francis in Disney's _Oliver and Company_ and narrated both _Babe_ and _Babe: Pig in the City._
Very scary and sad at the same time, that in their world people don't seem to realize the finality of what they're going to experience. The women just treat it as some sort of thrill or a show, totally ignoring the fact that they're about to be put to death and there's no coming back from that.
You can catch glimpses of the film crew in the robot's mirrored surfaces at 50 seconds and 1 minute and 8 seconds especially you see a mustachioed brown-haired man with glasses. I love finding stuff like this!
Apparently they're going to remake Logan's Run, but unfortunately Logan will be cast as female. So that means they can't be called 'Sandmen' anymore, and it will be even less like the novel than the original movie was. Its ridiculous. It means it will be a movie about two females escaping the city of domes. I love Logan's Run, but i wouldn't care about a female duo remake. Makes no sense at all and has zero relation to the novel. Hollywood's feminist war on men continues.
Boy, they had it easy producing this series. They used musical motifs from Lost in Space. There was nothing remarkable about the characters or settings. All they needed to do was set the cameras on the ground to give the illusion of giants walking and jumping around and create a few oversize items for greater reality. Easy pizzy... 😂😂😂😂
In my opinion, the disfigured faces of the mutants were not caused by any atomic radiation, because the radiation that melted the buildings of the city through heat was merely melting radiation. The mutants were caused by something else, such as harmful underground water, which has corresponding effects when passed on. Alternatively, the mutants have regained their true appearance as a result of their long stay underground. They have always been mutants, disguised in the body forms of humans. In order to continue playing out their former human appearance as a play, they now had to put on masks. Only during their silly idolatrous singing in the pseudo-church did they show themselves as they had always been in reality.
I always wondered if they had carousel every night, once a week, or once a month. They mentioned the good crowd, as if if wasn’t that great most times they had it. And if it was every day, it would get boring. They should’ve kept this scene in. It explained the Love shop. The flame out if they don’t renew. And cathedral.
Fantastic Journey S01E04 "Children of the Gods." Looks like they compressed the width of the image so it appears very narrow and much taller. Quite distorted but no doubt the same cityscape. Thanks for pointing that out!
So again, GH 75; the audience recording of the L.A preview did not include these scenes that have no audio? Also, is the extended music for this deleted scene is the same as the official soundtrack but was trimmed for the official theatrical movie release?, (a kind of a jump-cut but with music). Always interesting Great HaLL!
Correct. The audience recording from the preview screening did not include some scenes/dialogue which is why we don't have any audio. BTW, the preview screening was in San Diego, not LA (but close enough). ☺ I think I just looped the film soundtrack to fill the extra time, though I might have sourced it from the official soundtrack CD. I can't remember for certain.
@@Greathall75 Thank-you for clearing that up. Sometimes one cannot see what's right in front of them. Hey GH75 thanks for the cute emoticon; gave me a good chuckle!😄😼Which brings me to my next question: what happened to all the animals in Logan's Run? We did see cats as i recall towards the end of the movie but nothing underground in the city domes! No animals allowed by A.i? I've never read the book and so i ask. Thanks
Terrific work as always GH 75. I never thought of this as i have viewed this in years past. During the L.A preview when the audio was recorded i am guessing those scenes/photos without the audience recording; that those portions were cut out of the preview and have never made the light of day as a deleted scene except here on youtube. It's somewhat long but the fans want it. Thank-you.
