Good ol days, b4 the timber was locked up. Remember sitting on the fuel tank of one of Billy Wills 9's, out on the Horseshoe. Steep Country!

Those are obviously custom made attachments on the dozer as I’ve never seen them before . The debarker is brilliant. Well done guys.

Enjoyed the video,I had never seen a log grapple on a bulldozer or a debarker and on the D7G that does not look like the standard Caterpillar straight blade! is it manufactured by an aftermarket supplier ?

interesting that the cat isn't equipped with a fairlead to give added traction by lifting the butt off the ground

Pretty interesting loading logs with a dozer

That's how they did it before excavators took over the coup work, they rolled the logs onto the jinka via a bank cut away, the excavator can load more on top than a dozer, but this dozer was a one machine does all, it's brilliant to watch. The dozer is one of the greatest inventions of Mankind. Remember for those outside Australia that these are hardwood logs, extremely heavy timber around 1000kg per m3 dry, so add 50% to that at a guess.

Yes the dozer is a wonderful machine, here in the US they loaded with a crawler loader caterpillar 977h before the wheel loader then the current heel boom loader. Those are definitely some nice timber, here in the US on the west coast, Sierra Nevada mountains grows some very large timber. I personally own a late model 977l track loader set up for logging, winch in the back log forks in front great machine. I liked seeing how people somewhere else other than the us did their operations👍🏻

Those short shorts.... Is this some sort of gay logging operation?
@GlobalistJuice

It's Australia, shorty-shorts have always been their thing - this was recorded 30yrs ago during the 90's, Aussie's wearing shorty-shorts even today isn't considered effeminate - but here in the West, the "rainbow community" has managed to bastardize and degenerate even the most mundane, normal things into their weird fetishes and deranged lifestyle! it's all fucked-up and demonic.

They're not you know. Stubbies were shorter. The King Gees (mudgee's) in the vid were standard wear in those days. As were fat lips on anyone silly enough to pass comment.
