I've been waiting for so long to see him play wow again. I really loved his content since the day he started. Now reading the tweets about what happend to him It really feels sad. I really wanted to see him play on his old rogue and warrior, but he never got the chance to get unbanned on his main account. Rest in peace Byron.
It seems a lot of people don't understand why he thinks he should get Unbanned. It isn't special treatment. Its because Blizzard changed the ban rules regarding account sharing, They no longer perma ban, and instead issue temp bans and other reprocussions. This is why people say he should be unbanned. Becuase the rules changed.
They didnt ban him for Account Sharing, they banned him for boosting someone's rank in arena. If he hadn't played ranked he probably would have gotten his Account back.

@@dantedeloden I'm pretty sure I've heard of people recently getting released for that same exact crime who were still serving it at the time because laws changed. So yes it sort of is the same circumstance but not in the way you're saying it is.

Two things you should know after watching this: Reckful is not unbanned yet, he's just using an alt-account which is okay with Blizzard. Reckful's alt didn't get banned at the end there, it was just server issues, and his stream came back online shortly after he ended it. I just wanted to say this, because people like to spread a lot of lies about Reckful playing WoW, especially on Reddit.
I thought it was because of the scheduled maintenance, which was on the date the vid was uploaded. Could be he was playing afterwards and servers were acting up.

I think it varies a lot too. For example if I owned my house, I would renovate it and make upgrades. When I rent I feel less freedom to do anything. And I can't upgrade things that I have the need for or install air conditioning for when it gets really hot in the summer because I don't own the apartment. Plus Depending on where you live, renting can be difficult because landowners ask you all kinds of personal questionins, feeling they are entitled to know everything about which can be uncomfterable for some. Some landowners don't allow you to smoke, have dogs and some even forbid kids. Which is completely understanable. The point is there is a lot of things to think about and it's very circumstantial.
sucks that one of the things that actually made the guy happy, he wasnt allowed to do...i understand rules, but nobody should be permanantly banned from playing the game at all, even on a new account. Ban the players main account alright...dont you think that is rough enough? And for someone to even WANT to play after losing everything like that, kinda says something about how much they enjoyed your game. Ive watched this video before maybe even when it was published, and it made me feel bad then, but now with the recent happening, its actually heartbreaking. Alot of people might look at it as like "its just a game" but when your career revolves around it, and it is something that has been a part of your life for so long, it means alot more than you think. RIP man.

From a business perspective surely you would have to be stupid not to unban Reckful? Even if just 100 people were to start playing again as a result (although I am sure it would be a LOT more) - Thats still 100 more paying customers...
He didn't break the Law... he went against Blizzards T&C's because he played another persons account (with thier permission) Although if it was the actual law he had broken, then you would get less time for rape. Ohh, and I DO understand the principle - but in the interest of being fair he should be given the same punishment as anybody else who has ever been banned for account sharing. Seem's to me you're just jealous and bitter.
Why the fuck does a multi-million dollar company care about one person? Even if that one person has many followers? Maybe a quarter might not play, for a bit, but come on they know like I know, nobody will leave. Life lesson, companies only care about bottom line, and it seems their bottom line is not affected.
INFO: Stream did not end there, he ended the stream thinking he was banned, but a couple minutes later he realised it was just a disconnect and started the stream back up. He played for a couple hours, even had Soda and Jenna join him and greek in a discord call and chilled for a while.
