Suffering with manic depression and having suicidal parents after the loss of his brother.. id love to see you do half as much as him during the circumstances
2023 and sometimes I come back to thsee videos, Reckful was the man. Still cant believe hes gone, this is a lesson for everyone out there if you know someone is struggling like Byron, reach out to them. You never know if it can save their life.
I love watching this video to hear him talk about playing with all these other guys. RIP Byron. You are an inspiration to us all. Your skill at video games was unparalleled. You were a one of a kind streamer. You are greatly missed. :(
that ending was great. i really thought it was gonna be some priest gear like he said. i hope how happy that made byron motivates him to push 120 and play wow for a good while. it's awesome seeing him back!
I've never played WoW or even at all understand anything about the game, but for some reason it was very interesting listening to Byron talk about the best players and whatnot.

Reckful is the only person in the world that is actually fully and genuinely in love with World of Warcraft, like not even brown nosing he almost cries every time something exciting happens then you can see it in his eyes as he looks back to how it felt when all his friends were playing and he almost cries.
Reckful always gets very excited about things that others would call small. He genuinely was extremely excited when a guy guessed how old his wallet was from the wear of the leather.
Bro when he gets the warglaive at the end seeing how visibly happy he gets with zeldas lullaby playing in the background after all this time still gets me emotional. Hope your resting well in a better place Reckful.
I was talking about his last stream in Amsterdam. People were calling him out for taking MDMA ect, but he wasn`t on any drug. He was just manic :) because of his Bipolar disorder. I am not saying he doesn`t do *drugs* like who doesn`t in 2018 lol. Byron is not at the best mental state at the moment so seeing him that happy was pretty nice to watch.
Uh, you do know Byron stepped away for more than a long time after his most recent Japan trip? He legitimately stopped streaming for a couple months. He HAS stepped away but he's not that kinda guy that derives happiness solely from his own well-being, he derives it from pleasing other people from what I've seen. Byron seems like a heavy empathiser in a lot of ways, just not in all the ways possible.
I have been grieving for a long time and this is the first time that one of his videos made me sincerely happy instead of just sad. This right here is the reckful I will always remember. Reminiscing about old times and talking about people that he respected and played with.
Is there anyway that some normal viewer can send something to Reckful and have him actually see it and think about it? Listening to the beginning of this video really hit me hard. I've been struggling with this same thing for years and years now. There's just a couple things I want to send to him because I think it'll make him a bit happier knowing there's other people, like me, in his situation. I've been so depressed lately with the same thoughts as he has and since I'm an emotional person like him I just think it would be good for the both of us. Obviously I'm not doing this for anything, fame or even friendship, I'm just in a dark spot at the moment and it seems like he's been through it. Thanks

I feel ya dude, Reckful has been helping me so much thru the years with depression it's unreal and that's the case for many people I bet, but keep in mind that it just isn't humanly possible that he can personally reach out to everyone... I recently broke up with my girlfriend (23 days ago) and still haven't recovered and these days watching his streams distracts me and helps me cope a lot actually.
I come back to this video a couple times a year just to see him drop the glaive after story telling, can't believe its been nearly a year already. Missing you Byron.

Can someone tell reckful questing is easier than it used to be. You just read nothing, accept everything, then follow the arrow and when you get to the location you hover your mouse over the area on the map and it tells you what to do in a few words.
I feel you reckful . I was 2 times rank 1 in 2v2 . I know doesn't mean anything but I did it with my favorite mate . We met randomly and played Rogue / Shadowpriest for years. Good old times.

Cdew is overrated but pretty good nonetheless. I doubt that one hit wonder team will win any major event in future. Even though I like Cdew as a player and how chill he is.
lol he's naming only americans; when in reality the majority of blizzcons have been won by europeans, let alone the back-to-back wins from the germans boetar and swapxy, those are the REAL best players ever, not all of those names he called. and all the highest rated players ever also are from EU
"highest rating" has always been a bad comparison when the ladders are separated (and ladder rating in general usually didnt mean squat except that you played a good laddercomp), but Boetar and Swapxy cant really be called "best players ever" as theyve both played the game at gladiator ratings forever, until they both got a breakthrough when other players quit and their classes(comps) suddenly became broken. Neither Boetar nor Swapxy have had any luck playing a bad comp, although ill admit Boetar and swapxy have improved since the times when i met them, they arent really near being the "best of their class". Except maybe Swapxy since he plays enhancement shaman, which doesnt really have any competition at all

I didnt say OP comps, i said "good laddercomp". Good laddercomps are stuff that does well against everything and either only loses to the top comp, or the joker comps(aka, few of those on the ladder to stop you). SP rogue was BY NO MEANS a bad comp at all during cata. It was actually one of the best laddercomps you could play. It would do well against pretty much everything, and while you would have stressful fights against meleecleaves, the majority of the meleecleavers (specially on the US ladder) were bad players, meaning you ended up having the advantage anyways as it wasnt even a counter when both teams were at a certain skill level. What you said at the end is exactly what im saying myself lol. EU has more people so naturally the players there have always been better (except in a few regards, for example Neilyo as rogue in TBC, and shamans ever since Kollektiv and Cdew played them)
hydenshribby Can’t really say they are the best ever. Swapxy and Boetar had tourney success when the game was severely dumbed down and the overall skill cap for every class is lower.
What are you on about hahah, he was an asshole towards everyone, flamed bunch of times and made other people feel shit (and not just in Wrath but in BfA as well). No one should die but that does not make him a good person at all

@@Exata1337 - I like Hydra and in my book he's one of the best discs I have ever seen but here we talk about results and the hard cold fact is that Reckfull had achieved more the almost any other player he mentioned, thus his braging rights. If Reckfull himsel is this or that "type" of a guy is open for discussion but the fact remains that measured purely by achievements, he was the better player than the others.

He had less r1 titles than what hydra did, and he played on NA with less competition than EU overall, and he had pretty much 0 tournament wins or top 3s compared to hydras teams (which went as far back as to tbc, while reckful didnt even get to play in tournies before late wotlk?). Reckful was literally just known for having a lot of r1 titles and being the first to reach 3k(which doesnt really say much about his skills, other than how active his ladder was), while hydra was known for having EVERY r1 title possible, multiple tournament participations and wins/2nd or 3rd placings. Reckful is simply being a hypocrite here by stating others are cocky when he doesnt even hesitate for a second to say that he was the best himself. Obviously reckful is better than a lot of the players mentioned, but him saying hydra is cocky when reckful claims that he himself was the best rogue/player or whatever (when reckful had accomplished less in the game than hydra had) is just hypocrisy like no other

I agree that Hydra is a bit cocky, but I think Reckful is underestimating him a bit. If they played together on the tournament realm I'm pretty sure Hydra would have been on 200+ ping?
it matters but even long distance ping u could see who was best. my friend was playing from germany on US client and was best mage on US at the time for a couple seasons, 120-200ping from what he was playing
@@ExploitMage once itngkt more competitive the ping would become a factor. It's a fact. The delay would be difference in making a kick or ice block and not.
Reckful sounds like a typical "BG9 circlejerk" dude from way back, and thinks US PvP is the big leagues, even after superstar US players has gotten humbled over and over again by random EU teams with broken english no one has heard of, except people balls deep in the EU arena scene at the time. It's kind of odd really. EU has far more tournament wins, not to mention has won Blizzcon twice as much as the US, so why are all these players the "best ever"? It's like reading a "best in class" thread on the old realm forums and people were just naming their friendslist, cause thats all they knew about.
You can tell his early WoW days were the greatest time in his life. I don't think coming back to BFA was good for him - showed him the magic wasn't there anymore.
Jeff I think if blizzard unbanned his account, none of this would’ve happened. Just my opinion based on his previous Rank 1s and how demotivated he got after losing that.
I've pretty much played from season 2 up to now and seen most of the top tier NA and EU players. To me, Whaazz is the best rogue ever, and mechanically by far above everyone else. Strategically also top tier. He's got it all.
ElGallo It‘s a bit unfair though, considering the era in which he started. Being the best, according to your words, will always be impressive, but it‘s not fair to compare him to a lot of these players who had quit/were quitting around the MoP period.
Alot of wow players quit cause they lost their touch/got bad. Specially when bgs merged and u started facing all players every day, and didnt have specific isolated bgs. I could name plenty of players who stopped in EU cause they knew they just got much worse. Some quit over other reasons obv
Sorry but the best player who ever played WoW was MARM. retail and AT for ppl who don't know MARM was multi r1 every class in woltk/cata and he was the Highest RMP World with khuna and raiku 2900+ cata

@@Andrewxx20 which years are you talking about? because reckful wasnt in the highest rated 3s team in the world for more than 1 or 2 SEASONS, which might equal to one year at max. Not only that but reckful never really had much tournament feats to brag about at all, as he was mostly just known for doing well on the bg9 ladder and trash in tournaments. Its not that surprising to see reckful being biased towards NA players since he is from NA and has the experience from there, but the AMOUNT of bias he shows here is just absolutely ridicilous, pmuch 0 EU players, and NA players that got their ass handed to them in any worldwide tournament by opposing EU players are apparantly considered better in his eyes.
Dude omg; I once played with Kollectiv just for points and he carried my ass so hard. I haven't played WoW in years, but I totally remember playing with that shaman and him telling me he was one of the best players

The vanilla players that made this list were truly insane, to pioneer high leve pvp back in 2004 really did require like a 30 year old brain at baseline lol. Respect to the vurtne kishkumen drakedog etc
vurtne was also the very first player who carried pvp to another level. the kind of movement he invented in classic is the playstyle people use nowadays in pvp
I feel him, living with remorse is tough cause you change as a person and do not see yourself in those actions anymore. sometimes boredom and curiosity can lead to things that you wouldn't do and that can get you hooked just by the emotions and high it provokes within the body.
I miss Reckful so much... I remember when I would have the absolute WORST day, but I would get happy because I knew Reckful would be up late streaming... Ahhh man.. :(
