Pretty smart operator, manipulating the hydraulic tongue on the Trailer Drawbar to waddle it forward. Throwing limbs in a hole and hanging a clam full of logs on the far side of the wagon as a cantilever! That's a good trick for Rubber Tired Backhoes when stuck, but you can backup, especially on a grade!
Perhaps if you did it like us Finns do, the logs placed in neat piles, and the residual tops, branches will be left organized as a path for the vehicles to drive on.
Tolloa hommaa. Eihän tuo kirppu-Valtra kauankestä tuota, ei varmaan tarkoituskaan. On tullut 6000-sarjan Valrtoilla itse ryvettyä sen verran. Lyhyilla matkoilla viisaampi jättää tapit vajaaksi ja pidemmilla juontaa parempien reittien varteen.
Agreed. I guess the video demonstrates the capability of the forestry tractor in BAD conditions, but working like this is clearly demanding on mechanics and fuel and at the same time detrimental on forest soil.
Looks like a Valtra n series (so in the early 100 hp) and the you have a load that weighs like the weight limit of the tractor. And you can see it struggling when it's getting out of the place, and it dosent even have a front weight. But it is still very impressive.
It clearly says in the description "A93" - how could you get confused about this? The load is very well balanced on the trailer, and the trailer is also driven. But struggling like this to pull a massive load one time, ruins his chances of getting through with the next, so this is the stupid way to do it...
Søren Conradsen not really cuz then you would have to use more gas and come back and forth to make up for the extra rounds in time you will learn this.
Hey Arunas195, for my finals project in high school I wrote and illustrated a children's book, for which I used two pictures out of your video as reference pictures to draw tractors. With my practical part now finished I need to write a theoretical part about my project, in which I write how I went forward, what materials I used etc and in one section I want to use your picture to show how I started my drawings from reference to finished drawing. I wanted to know if you'd give me your permission to use your image (in the movie approximately min 1:01) in my theoretical work. It will not be used for commercial use, I would use it solemnly for my final project. I would be very grateful for your permission. Best Luisa :)
Is it true that loggers have to kill any stranger that wanders into the site where you log? It’s an old tail from where I live probably to keep us out of the woods.
There is no differential lock, or why doesn't he use it?? This is painful to watch, clearly the machine-operator-terrain is a horrible match. In other words, this was not working in any stretch of the imagination.
Using diff. lock with a load like this might just as easily break something big and expensive. But I agree, this is not the right way. Clearly skilled operator, but spinning the wheels like this only wears out the equipment, burns a lot of fuel and makes the next load so much harder since he got rid of everything loadbearing on top of that mud.
