So many great songs from these guys! Danny's Song, Vahevala, House at Pooh Corner. My favorite is BE FREE. I saw most of the supergroups, but L+M were the best live

Kenny Loggins is a great songwriter and singer . He's had many big hits on his own as a solo artist ❤❤❤

But this one's mostly a Jim Messina song.

Hi … Jim Messina was in the groups “ buffalo Springfield “ and “poco” … Kenny loggins asked Jim to be the producer on his album… “sittin in” is the name of the album and “loggins and Messina “ was born … this is a reunion concert after being broken up for years….

Just to add to that I saw Jim in an interview and he said he was actively pursuing producing and moving away from playing. But while producing Kenny he made some contributions as a player and he recognized they had something special and they needed to be playing together and thus Loggins and Messina. Also will add that for this being a live performance after having been broken up for years they sound great.

You should listen to their song, "Your Momma Don't Dance And Your Daddy Don't Rock And Roll".

LOved them in concert in the 70s. I would be surprised if you haven't heard Kenny Loggins. He's written 100s of songs that others sing or are in the movies. I think you would like their acoustic songs. Kenny Loggins - Return to Pooh Corner (from Outside: From The Redwoods). Danny's Song was a big acoustic hit too.

You guys are great! Nothing else I can say that hasn't already been said. Should you want more of L & M, I would suggest "Be Free", Pathway to Glory" and "Sailing the Wind".

Kenny Loggins is a great songwriter, Jim Messina (guitar solo) is a great arranger and producer. They made greater music when together. ☮❤🎶

Did you notice the drummer? He plays with David Gilmore now and used to drum for Crosby, Stills and Nash. He's having a great time.

For '60s & '70s artists, I'd suggest using recordings or performances closer to their era.

A line from the Beatles song, "Bungalow Bill", says "if looks could kil, it would have been us instead of him".😂

Also realize how really good musicians they are, the last time they did this song together before this appearance was 29 years previously, around 1976. This concert was from 2005.

These guys have been my favorite band since 1974 when I saw them in concert. (The sax soloist in this performance - Steve Nieves - was a high school pal back in the day)

Jim Messina was an original member of Buffalo Springfield and POCO and that made connections to Eagles with Timothy Schmidt and Randy Meisner as well as Crosby Stills Nash and Young ...

❤ Loved seeing you react to this! I often put my headphones on to listen to a string of Loggins and Messina songs! I promise there is much more of their music you'd enjoy. And, of course, there's a very long list of songs from Kenny Loggins' solo career after 1977 that I'm sure you'd enjoy. He had several huge movie soundtrack hits a bit later in his career, but the earlier stuff (mainly late 1970s into the 1980s) is what I keep returning to because it always touches me. Some solo career suggestions are: - Lady Luck - Easy Driver - Wait a Little While - Celebrate Me Home - Nightwatch - Why Do People Lie - Sweet Reunion - If You Believe ...and so many more... For more Loggins and Messina, I suggest going back to the 1970s live performances (although studio is fine as well - I just love them more live.). Here are a few tunes I think you'd like: - Nobody But You - Back to Georgia - Trilogy: Lovin Me/To Make a Woman Feel Wanted/Peace of Mind - Vahevela - Another Road - Your Mama Don't Dance Thanks for sharing your joy of music with us. 🎶🎵

I think the studio version is even better. The instrumentation is tighter, especially the flute. I also enjoy seeing them live. I heard L&M live in Memphis, TN in the mid 1970s. Always loved this group.

I was gonna' suggest this very performance to you guys. If you want to hear one of the best live albums of the 70s, try their ONSTAGE. Great versions of all their early stuff. Spent the summer of '75 listening to that album. Danny's Song is one of the sweetest songs to come out of the rock era.

I can’t find anyone who has reacted to Peace of Mind live. I think it’s from this concert. Kenny Loggins is amazing in that song. Of course, he’s amazing over all!
