Rapper Logic and Alessia Cara explain why their hit single, "1-800-273-8255," is an important anthem about suicide prevention that needs to be talked about.
Ace Replays - They're joking about being violent towards people when the song is about suicide prevention. Yesssss, I know I'm taking this "too" seriously for a lighthearted jokey comment, but I feel like there's this general attitude that it's okay to be mean to "bad" people, when it's not okay to be mean to anyone at all. We have to proactively break the cycle with kindness, which means not even joking about being violent or having sides between good and bad, likers and dislikers.
sierra stokes the whole point of the presidency in the US is that anyone can run... but obviously it’s preferable if they actually have good political experience lol
Oh, for a sec I thought you were talking about when he did that whisper challenge with his wife, where he said that, he'd be in a Tarantino film instead of making a hit song with Drake, and he was like the movie for sure, I can make a hit song by myself. Im pretty sure I watch a lot of those interviews I don't remember him saying that Ill have to rewatch some
it's an incredible feeling watching logic grow and flourish as an artist. his music has impacted me for years, and the fact that he's now impacting so many more lives makes me so happy
f.y yup he's an incredible human being. Discovered him 2 years ago and been supporting him. I love this man not only as an artist but as an incredibly profound human being.
my boyfriend and i were in a store when we hear logics 1-800 song coming from somewhere.. we then go outside and look to see and there was this man in a bike, homeless torn up clothes with nothing but his boom box. this song was giving him strength. i'm so happy bobby created a song like this, a subject that little to none write songs about. he's so dope 👍
I was a little taken aback at first when I heard the song, but after it progressed I was like "Oh ok, thank god." Lol 😂 Love the message guys. Please keep up the good work.
This is the reason I love Logic. He wants to get a message out through all of his music that can help others, and thats what this music industry is lacking. From the basement to Ellen, I'm so proud of Bobby and all his hard work.
i still cry whenever i hear the song, it's worse in quarantine, im trying to use my phone as a distraction, my friends stopped talking to me, but its mainly bc i usually start the conversation :/ im fine for now tho
All you guys saying he should be known for all his songs, not just 1-800: I get your point, but it has to start somewhere. 1-800 shows people who don't know him that his songs are good and also have meaning, and invite them to look into his other work. So I think it's a pretty good start
Doge she said "everyone". The person who commented meant she missed out on saying "everybody is going home with a copy" cuz everybody is the name of the album
lil baby wipe. Bobby’s better on his own in his albums, he’s now rapping again rather than singing like on the album “Everybody”, so she wouldn’t fit with it
These two are amazing!!! Thank you so much for helping people battling depression and contemplating suicide. We need more people like Logic and Alessia.
Logic is one of those celebrities that everyone would get a drink with or sit down and have a talk... he is just very humble and wants to just make a difference got to respect that.
TranscendedArrow did you have trouble understanding what he said? If so, you're the one who needs to dust up on sum good Engrish. If not, why are you comprainring?
I hope both Alessia & Logic won't change their unique style of music cause it's really very uplifting and empowering :') god bless these two rising legends
I love logic so much he inspires me so much to spread positivity and to not judge people by there race or what they believe in or what they look like! So thankful for Logic and Alessia 💖
logic has memorized exactly what to say when someone asks him what is the message you are trying to send or how was your childhood logic always says the same thing word for word when asked those two questions
Been listening to this dude since 2011, seeing how far he has come has been cool to watch. I remember the young sinatra days and welcome to forget and young broke and infamous. I don't really like his new stuff at all but it's good to see him blow up
Might I say, this song is not only very..touchy, but very well done(I can't remember what I wanted to say but you get the idea), but it's also an amazing song too!
The moment i heard this song it really spoke out to me. I cried so hard by the end of it. I’ve attempted before and i have friends suffering. The message at the end of the song just made me break down. Im so glad Logic decided to touch on such a taboo subject that most are afraid to address. And im so glad he collaborated with Alessia, when i heard her “Scars to your beautiful” it resonated with me so deeply as well. Love these two so much
It's kinda funny and awkward cause the entire video wasn't said the word suicide. Talk about taboo and don't say the word doesn't help at all. The video and the lyrics is amazing. Best work, but we need to talk about suicide. Not superficially, but real talk
