Always give several good real life-like examples of whatever concepts you're talking about. I see this failure in so many otherwise good videos. They will describe a list of concepts, but rarely if ever give practical examples of how they work. Examples bring the concepts home, and make them more relatable, as well as more thoroughly understood. It will also make your videos longer, so you get more youtube time credit.

The definist fallacy and continuum fallacy are rampant in politics today, particularly in foux academic contexts like discussions about transgenderism or intersectionality People will just redefine words as if they made a point

@rationalobserver3675 You are absolutely right about the definist and continuum fallacies being misused, It is important to have clear definitions, but also to acknowledge complexity

Same with abortion debates that immediately came to mind “pro life” and “pro choice” as if both are FOR something

@@TinyFord1 You are spot on, Pro-life and pro-choice are great examples of loaded language in the abortion debate. Both labels frame the issue as a binary choice between two positives, but the reality is much more nuanced. Many people on both sides have complex views that go beyond those labels :)

You mispronounced motte, the word also is the source of 'moat' in English.
