Welcome to part 28 of my "Logic Pro 11 Essentials" course! In this video I cover the following: 1. What are sends, buses and auxiliary channel strips, and how are they used in mixing? 2. How to route sends to aux tracks to mix with time-based effects. 3. How to use Space Designer, Ensemble and Tape Delay to enhance vocals. 4. What is the difference between post pan, post fader and pre fader sends? Have you seen the pan problem in the current version? First is, you can't pan when you put a mono plugin on the bus, they have to be all in stereo. Second and unsolved issue: you bip a track to mono and you can pan only to one side, in my case only to the right...
The first issue doesn't sound like a bug. If you have a mono plugin on a channel, that means the channel is mono. So you cannot use stereo pan for that, since stereo pan is inherently a two-channel panning method. Mono channels by default do not even show the stereo pan option. I have not encountered your second issue. Just tried bouncing a stereo track to mono, and I could pan in both directions. Maybe try resetting your settings or trash the PLIST and see if that fixes the bug. I have a video on that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rn8GApZ51KQ.htmlsi=QOvliBbcxWLuVLyL
If you are working in Logic 11, start at part 1 of the Logic 11 course. Once you finish that jump into part #35 of the 10.7/10.8 series for the more advanced stuff.
I didn't explain Sends on Faders because I have never used them even once for mixing. The only thing I use SOF for is when setting up headphone mixes. However, I did do a video on that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uqUV97CO-TQ.htmlsi=UZC_x1S6b7akLlEy A while back I also did a video that includes SOF along with Independent Pan, which you can find here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XHWvVuCMcaM.htmlsi=LiVaWOnyArMIANN8
