Logic Pro X - How To Sidechain

I'm trying to do this and for some reason any of the buses in my project won't let me change from Stereo Output to No Output. It won't let me click or make any changes in that area at all. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Great video, eeeeeexceeept for one thing - When I open up the compressor, there is no "sidechain" selection thingy you so conveniently have at 0:35. How do I get that to appear? or is there another way? I might just be making a stupid oversight or something but this has been an extreme source of frustration for me for the past few days. Please help, I don't know what I'm doing.

Im pretty new to producing and im having trouble setting up my compressor well enough for the synth to actually follow the kick :(

when I use plucks sometimes the pluck hits at the same time as the sidechain, it sounds kinda harsh, how can i get rid of that?

great to the point and quick! is there a way i can sidechain the synth without hearing the original kick?

when I choose no output on the bus channel I can't hear my kick anymore why. ?

Instead of the bus - I just sort of ran it through the instrument (drum) and it worked.

This is great, and as said before. Quick and to the point. Question though. How do you achieve the side chain effect on the synth part, but you wish to remove the kick drum? If I mute the kick, or lower it's volume, the side chaining effect goes away. But I'd love to have that side chain effect on the synth without the kick being heard. Suggestions? Is there another video showing this?
