Honestly this kid is a true throw back to the 90's ... when I hear his music my childhood and how awesome music was back in my generation all comes back to life for me. Hey guys, thought you'd appreciate this analysis because, as you stated in your reaction, this was immediately a masterpiece to me. But even in acknowledging its greatness, it's been bothering me why I can't put my finger on what makes it so epic in its totality. I've listened to this song easily over 100 times since discovering it and it finally hit me: the aspect of the track that gives it that extra magic. It's the structure. It's BRILLIANTLY constructed when you think about it. It starts out getting you all hyped and celebrating his dopeness and success; just consuming you in his talent and excitement for "finally making it" ("Now they now my name through the nation / Cause my single like that good shit, man, always in rotation / Now they know Logic for Logic, not through my affiliations..."). THEN he juxtaposes it with the sacrifices in his personal relationships that he's had to make to get to this level. He's revealing the cost of the greatness. He's saying "you enjoyed those first 3 minutes, right? Here's what it cost me." Then the final message from his dad validating everything he's done, despite the sacrifices, and encouraging him on. Genius.

So, I’ve been a logic “fan”, to put it loosely since almost day one, I’m not going to sit here and act like I found him, cuz it was my brother who introduced me to his first mixtape and we would bump it a lot, so watching this vid in 2019 brings back so many childhood memories, thank you, this man is just raw talent that doesn’t deserve the credit that he gets, but a lot more, he should be one of the best in the game with jay Z, Tupac, Wu Tang, j.
