I think most of these issues stems from the fact that it's a lightweight mouse they gotta trim it down a bit on the durability on some of its parts but mostly like the shell and side grips is still solid
when i shake mine theres something moving around inside, im waiting on core pads arriving so i can open it up hoping its just a wire moving around so i can glue it down
I took mine apart 1 week ago to greas the scrollwheel, reduce the mb1 mb2 rattle etc. I'm pretty sure it's the ribbon cable making the noise. wish i taught about gluing it when i had it open.
I'm really hoping more mouse companies start competing in the same segment as Logitech is with the G Pro Wireless and Superlight, at the same quality level too, so that they have to stop this price hiking. Like let's be real, that mouse is not worth the price. But because it's a great shape and Logitech's tech is usually at the forefront, people will get it. It feels like Glorious is the only true competitor with the Model O Wireless. Most other wireless gaming mice either have notable technical issues (e.g. the Steelseries Aerox 3, Rival 3 Wireless, Roccat Kain 200), or have shapes that are too small, heavy, or unsafe, ultimately making them less apt for mass market appeal. I think if Zowie managed to stage a comeback, bringing their shapes to the market at competitive weights and with wireless versions as well, they'd have a good chance to upset the market as it stands now, as people still very much love the Zowie shapes. But I can't say that I believe it'll ever happen :(
@@KiiDMaGiiK I've always wanted to try a Zowie as well, like the S2. I still have a wired mouse, but I would pay good money for a quality lightweight wireless honeycomb mini mouse with thin foam pads, not rubber grips (FM Ultralight Cape Town 2 pads are awesome - Logitech G703 rubber grips suck).
I had 2 copies and everytime the left one had more post travel and mushiness. I switched them out for Japanese Omrons and I HIGHLY recommend switching the stock switches out for some Kailhs etc., it makes the switches super tactile, no side travel and better post and pre travel. Absolutely enjoyable now.
These revisit videos are the best, something you won't get from any of the other tech reviewers. Most of them use a product for a week or two, deliver a review, and are done with it. For $150, the issues you are having after only 2 months are pretty inexcusable IMO.
Well I agree but because this happened to him does not mean it will happen to you too because different people get different copies and different people treat their mouse differently
been using my OG G Pro for 2 years now and everything about it has been 100% rock solid. Buttons definitely don't wiggle like that either and never suffered from double-click issue. After seeing this as much as I want a weight reduction I'm very apprehensive to buy a Superlight...
@@emrekurtoglu7673 You mean the non Superlight. I could've gotten the GPW for 80-90€ as well, on Black Friday. The only problem or rather the biggest problem was the double clicking/clicks issue... Horrible. So much stuff about that online, like they always eventually fail. Rather quickly too. But yeah it's cool
Really appreciate reviews like this, Ive had my G pro wireless since just before Christmas, I grip and press hard the same as yourself, I feel the clicking issue I dont have on 1&2 even when pressing hard but i think the thumb mouse buttons were abit mushy from the start but it hasnt gotten any worse for me so far. Its better than the mouse I had previous overall but is it that wonderful for the money I think its slightly priced for hype rather than actually quality honestly.
I've had this mouse since the day it released and I haven't noticed any of this on mine. After watching the video I did check mouse 1 and 2 and they will slide like that if you press them hard but I've never noticed it in game. Maybe I just don't press them as hard as you do I dunno but I absolutely love mine, best mouse I've ever used.
@@TheChekan Yea I'm still rocking an OG pro, and the switches doing pretty good. They even fixed that mushy Right/Left clicks with the second revision and the clicks are pretty solid now compared to the first mouse I acquired. I did some minor modding to shed a little weight like removing the side buttons, took the magnets out, cut off the pvc/board that holds the side buttons and I took out a few screws cuz they overloaded the mouse with like 50 something screws inside. lolol
Techne delivers with awesome and honest review yet again! this guy deserves twice the subscribers at very least. Same could work maybe for mousepads etc in terms of long term reviews
I compared the points you gave here with my G305 and all i can say is i'm pretty happy with staying loyal to this bad boy. Thanks for showing us subjects to judge and consider!
2:08 i have a brand new GPW so I just tested it, and it still wiggles exactly the same way yours does, but it's not noticeable in actual use. I think they just have a little bit of a give, I don't think it's due to aging at all.
When this was back in stock I was going to buy and thanks to this video I will no longer. My ec2a has that mouse click slide/scratching feeling and I absolutely hate it. Thank you very much mate you just saved me £130
Yeah i own 3 FK2 myself. I always buy a new one cause of this feeling on the left button after 1year of use. But damn 2 months and already this problem ?
I experienced exactly the same issues with G305. I understand all the lightweight trends, but $150 mice should not flex like that. My mind constantly goes back to the glory of G9x that was a tank, yes weights were a thing back then, but man was that thing durable.
The mouse feet on the Superlight look so good and looks like a piece of candy. I got the glorious model o wireless and so far it's been really great. Are you going to make a video on the model o wireless after 2 months use as well?
I had a model o wireless for 1 month and already starting to have clicking issues with mouse2 button. I also had trouble getting used to the side buttons, theyre to close for me and I press both at the same time kinda often. But iverall I kinda liked the mouse shape and sensor. Bought it from amazon so I can still get a refund, Imma do that and order the Superlight.
@@georgimihaylov5432 They use to be quality. I went through 2 Logitech G Pro Wireless(the original one) due to Double click and got 2 replacements and they developed double clicks as well. Now I have a Zowie ZA12-B. Great sensor, no bloating software, and $70. Only thing I did was change the cable to a paracord just because I wanted to change it out.
Love your vids man! You make it sound like you treat your gaming mice like a stress ball. Bound to be wear and tear sooner rather than later I guess if that's the case.
I love this guy that i called him "old man" 🤩🤩🤩 its my amazing type of person who helped me to understand many things and made me choose the best products. If u ever see this message, can you please try using for 1 month at least the Aerox 3 Wireless? I got a small hand and those small mice are best for me. Also want to see quality after use. I just bought one to test it for a few days, but not sure if worth the money. Thanks Techne
Okay, so. I have had this mouse since release day, and I do not feel the " mouse 1 and 2 creaking " at all. It's clearly just a one off time. Sorry man.
it would be interesting to see what have become the SteeSeries Aerox 3 Wireless I own one myself, and so far nothing have changed in the two months I've used it. I swapped the stock skates for corepadz, better than the stock feets and I gotta say it : It is one of the best mouse around. In my country, the Aerox 3 wireless is 105€, the Model 0 Wireless is 99€. For 5€ you get : better shape, better left / right clicks (by far, very clicky, personnal preference after all), better software (imho), better scrool wheel, and a bit lighter mouse. Oh, and it has Bluetooth. Sides buttons are not as good but definetly usable I think this is a top tier mouse, only problem with it is that it was PLAGUED with quality control issues. On my copy, no creek, no flex, noting. On others copies? All of it. The difference betwen copies was huge and just not acceptable. I think (guess?) that SteelSeries might have their shit sorted out by now, it would be interesting to see if the Aerox 3 can live up to the expectations, 2 months afterwards. and if not, well SteelSeries are gonks. (also, Steelseries made an ass move by releasing the Aerox 3 wired. This mouse is a complete piece of garbage as it was nothing more than an afterthought. What it is is basically an Aerox 3 wireless with the battery removed, new bottom piece to get rid of the power on switch and a lower grade sensor with ATROCIOUS lift off distance that you can't modify in the software. Removig the battery basically removed a lot of internal support, and made the mouse over all extremely flimsy and squeaky)
Good to know, nice video. I'm excited because I have the Endgame Gear XM1r preordered, will get it within 3~ weeks. 59,90€. Superb value and build quality... Awesome specs. Also getting Corepad Skatez for my Logitech MX Master 2S.
A difficult to do but fair comparison would be to see if those flaws were seen on other mice (in the +100$ range for example) Now it might be that you had "a bad feeling while playing" so you dug into this, which is legitimate especially if never felt with other mice ! Getting a new copy (manufactured later...) and repeating the same test would be interesting.. manufacturing youth issue or design issue ?.....
So my current GPW is out of warranty and started double clicking and I didn't know what to do, repair or replace, but I am glad I watched your review. I remember when the GPW launched, people said to wait for later batches since the very first ones had the left and right mouse buttons rubbing and scratching when clicked, sticky middle or left/right mouse buttons and many more little issues like that. I was ready to get the Superlight as soon as it came out, but I'd rather replace my current switches and wait a few more months, get a better price and a newer batch that hopefully irons out the issues, than get it now and regret it or send it out to warranty later. Thanks for the review
Logitech was the best. They used to "not fail" or "planned obsolescence".. But the accountants took over it seems, and now their product quality over time goes to shit. I used a G5 until this month and bought a Zowie S1 for my larger hands. It works, as I expect it should do.
Logitech is known to make minor corrections in later revisions especially if the customer keeps sending back mice that fail within a few months of ownership (my G305 and G Pro). The replacement G305 has better feeling buttons all around compared to the old one that was replaced and after more than a year of ownership there have yet to be any double clicking issues (the 10M Omrons are said to hold up better than the 20 or 50M Omrons found in the original G Pro of which was prone to double click after some months of use). The Razer Viper Ultimate I own has as crisp a feel as my Logitech G403 and Razer Mamba Wireless so they too might have sorted the mushy feeling found in the initial production run. Now if only I could get my hands on a Glorious PC Model O Wireless at a local retailer so I can make an easy return if I find the mouse doesn't suit me.
This is a really helpful video. I just returned a Viper Ultimate because of a minor squeaky feeling and side to side travel of the buttons, but it was nowhere near as bad as the mouse in the video. Stuff like that is so noticeable in day to day gameplay and I really wouldn't risk getting something that is prone to those issues. I was looking to the Superlight as a replacement, but after my OG Wired G Pro lasted for 5 years of ridiculously heavy playtime in games where you click 5000 times a match without a single issue, I was really hoping for a mouse that would have some longevity to it. I guess the search continues.
@@AlexandraMarsella Right after i made this post, I got a standard GPW and I've been loving it. Initially had a squeaky button but I broke it in during the first week of use. Been loving it ever since.
I have really small hands, and have used a viper mini before and that was great, but im looking to get a wireless mouse, my options are the g pro x wireless, g pro sunlight, glorious model o, and the viper ultimate.
It also makes sense how light mice break easily because they are not really built well. What i mean about that is that there could be cheap materials in it and then the mice could wear out.
@@TheTechne me too! This pandemic makes me wanna play ehat i dont usually play. Hahaha. Hope big names will send you some of their items so you can help us consumers what we will get on what we are paying.
just ordered this through logitech since they finally restocked. currently using a viper ultimate and it creaks just like you described on your g pro. its awful.
On your Viper, wherever the creak is, press down really hard on that area a few times. Very hard. Imagine you're a chiropractor and that creak is a back that needs to be cracked. Just kinda work the creak out with hard presses. Eliminated 99% of my creaking issues, no lie. This works to some degree on any optical switches.
Thanks for this video. It is always good to see what it's like to live with a product for more than a few days. I did just order one of these, but mainly to avoid the potential double click issue the g pro suffered with and that my OG 903 is suffering from
I fully I agree with your review. Just one question. Can you also click the middle mouse button (wheel) when you press it to the right side? Or is it just mine? Also when I press the left button on the outer right side, I press the middle button as well. I would highly appreciate your answer. Thanks
just got this mouse in today to upgrade from my 4 year old g502 and honestly, its so different but i definitely like the clicks and sidebutton positioning on the g502 a lot more. feels so much more crisp and the buttons feel so much more accessible to me on there. also i feel like the buttons are a little too light for me compared to the g502 and instantly started having accidental presses on the mouse2. but the shape and weight on the superlight is really refreshing. also i noticed it doesn't have sidescroll buttons but when i push the mousebutton to the right, it clicks the mousewheel but when i push it to the left, it doesn't have that. anyone else have that too? mouse1 and mouse2 just don't feel as tactile
Don't use Logitech Mice if you use the scroll wheel a lot in-game. When you scroll up and down rapidy the mice can't keep up with your inputs and won't register your commands. On Warzone for example, i have Primary Weapon bound to scroll Up, and secondary weapons bound to scroll down, so when you have to suddently "cancel" a weapon swap by swiping in one direction first and then the opposite direction quickly to cancel, the mouse can't keep up with your inputs and won't register what you've asked it to do. This isn't just a defective product i have either, it happens to all of their Mice that I've tried... G403... G305... G PRO Wireless Superlight and the original G Pro Wireless, it's something about the way they're all designed. No big reviewer is bringing up this issue either which is quite annoying.
i play Os runescape and i scroll alot to control the camera. My scroll wheel is fucked already after 4 months. when i scroll down or up sometimes it just jams and does the opposite imput. fucking scam company
@@truthtimetv4575 I been hearing this as well I'm starting to suspect that it might just depend on certain mouse pads? But idontknow how that would be possible cause the feet are really paper thin and my mouse would always scrape on my pad?
@Xavier Jones I had to send back my model o because it's left click was mushy and sticky and I only bought it on the last day of January, I sent it back the day after.
I switched from viper ultimate. Go for the shape, I prefer the superlight's shape, the razer had worse buttons and shape, overall that was the better mouse. I like this better, I did not regret it. Personally I say, try the superlight, if you don't like it, just get a refound and a Viper ultimate, thats all! But I would start with the superlight.
I used to be a die hard G900 owner. The first one broke after about 12 months. I bought a replacement and that one lasted about 14 months. I had the same problem with both mice.... the switches started to flake out and not work consistently. They were fine for normal everyday computing, but gave phantom clicks while gaming... The switches they use are junk and designed to fail IMHO. If they used quality parts, they would have the most awesome equipment in the world.
Logitech was the best. They used to "not fail" or "planned obsolescence".. But the accountants took over it seems, and now their product quality over time goes to shit. I used a G5 until this month and bought a Zowie S1 for my larger hands. It works, as I expect it should do.
mine had the exact same issues with the left and right click moving around so much and had the same mushy feeling with the side buttons. the lightweight is nothing more than just a overhyped money grab from Logitech and i felt lucky to even get my full refund. In conclusion the G pro is still god tier of light mice.
