When you say "joys" are you being generic or are you trying to use joysticks? If you're using joysticks, I have no idea on how they can be used for the trucks, sorry.

Have you tried the shifter in any other game? If it's only a problem with this game, it may be software related. If the problem is in all games, it may be hardware or connection related.

I have same problem, it works fine with other games and even on Xbox, it just doesn't work with ETS2. Have you found the fix?

I haven't had that problem, so I don't know of a good fix. All I can suggest is to try to isolate the problem to a specific game or piece of hardware, then proceed to fix that item. Sorry I'm not more helpful.

Might be your clutch sensitivity. Sometimes it wont knock into gear if the clutch wasnt 100% pushed in

For me, this setup works for any number of gears. Going from memory without sitting at it, a 13 speed will go up to 8'th on low range, then back to 1'st on the shifter and press the range gives you 9 &10 then shift up for 11 &12 and 13 will be the only gear available on the 3'rd place on the shifter. It's basically all the same, just fewer gears. You can see it's basically the same with European 12-speed trucks too. Hope that helps.

Sounds like the mapping is wrong for the pedals. Try resetting to default and see what happens.

@@mrplaid18777actually i found why this happened, i just didnt know how to drive manually , you just need to press clutch first then slowly stop pressing it and then start press gas and so on

I have not encountered any 16 speed in ets2, only in ats. I would try to set it up as in ats. The only difference between 16 and 18 is that you run out of gears sooner. Hope that helps.

In ATS using the splitter and range, I can get all 4 reverse speeds on the 18 speed Peterbilt. All are achieved in the same one spot on the gearshift when it is pressed down

I'm sorry, you don't give a lot of information in your question. To set up, you have to put the gear shift in each gear to program it for the simulator. The software sees each gear position as a switch, so they have to be set up as such. The same as if you were setting up 6 switches. Hope that helps.

@@its_not_real sorry but yes I tried to set it up that way but it seem likes it’s not recognizing my gear shift at all. Only thing I can set is gears on the steering wheel. Neither gear shift or pedal is working.

Have you tried pushing the shifter down while it's in the neutral location, then push it over to the right and back?

This works for any of the trucks I've used. Not sure if you've used a truck with more than 12 in ETS. This works for up to 18 gears in ATS as well.

Your question has prompted me to review things. I don't know if the sim changed or I was wrong and no one has pointed it out. But, you now have to use both buttons in both Euro and ATS. The difference is merely how far you go through the shifter pattern. The now-incorrect part is only in the Euro part of the video. So, on my 18 speed, in shifter position 1 L2 flips between 1'st and 2nd. Move the shifter to position 2 and L2 flips between 2'rd and 4'th. This continues up until shifter position 5 which means L2 flips between 9'th and 10'th. To get to 11'th gear you now have to move the shifter back to position 1 but while in the neutral area press L3 and L2, then you should get 11'th gear. If you wanted to shift up to 12'th you simply wouldn't have had to press L2. You then continue up the shift pattern until you hit 18'th gear in shifter position 4. Hope that helps. The G29 is a 6-speed shifter used on a 12 speed truck in ETS2 which is the first half of the video. In the ATS setup in the second half of the video, it is the same as my 18 speed setup, just you just have fewer gears to pick from than the 18 speed. I use it all the time with 10 speed or 13 speed if I just do a quick job in another truck than mine. Hope that helps.

And how many usb ports it need and what type

@@limitededition3295 The shifter and pedals plug via usb into the wheel base. The wheel plugs into your computer via usb. Not sure if it's usb 2 or 3

If neither gearshift or pedals are working, perhaps something is wrong with their connections to the steering wheel base since they both connect there? Sounds like a hardware issue, hopefully not a faulty wheel.

@@musicislife704 I don't believe any extra drivers other than what Windows will load when it sees the new devices

First thing I would check is to see if the blinkers are using some switch assignment as an alternate. The shifter positions are seen as switches.
