It's supposed to do that. It's definitely a lot more weird if you aren't used to it, but simply due to the infinite spin feature it will be looser. I like it like that tbh
it's perfectly normal, i've had the exact same mouse for 5 years and i've had no problems with it. actually it helps me a lot that it behaves like this, especially i use the scroll button a lot, i usually don't lift my finger from it when i scroll, and when i want to scroll quickly i simply lift my finger from it, it's more ergonomic that way if i want to scroll super fast, i switch to infinite mode.
The thing is you’re supposed to stop the wheel before clicking the button again, there is a metal rod that goes on the plastic grooves in the wheel, your groves have obviously worn down
Idk if i should but the G502 or the G305. I keep seeing mixed reviews of both of them for example the mouse being too heavy or start double clicking overtime.
My g502 sometimes scrolls without scrolling when playing competitive games . It's not bc of the infinite spin because i have it off. Edit: im thinking it might be some dust in it, but idk how do i clean it bc i dont live in america/usa, and idk where to get an air spray
You need to do 100 push ups jog 2 miles everyday to weild this behemot of a mouse. Kidding aside, it seems to work like that i have 3 of those mouse models.
You can use the individual clicks to measure one movement if that makes sense, infinite scroll is meant for substituting a click or to zoom very quickly in certain situations
My 502 does the same thing so does my 305 when I force the wheel that fast playing fps games recently ought a 502 light speed because I love the mouse and hate the smooth slick wheel of the standard 502
I have the g pro wireless but use the g502 sometimes to switch things up. I have the same problem which actually causes a lot of issues in a game like Fortnite where scroll wheel reset is important. I feel like it spins a little too much. Did u happen to find any fixes?
@@alternatecrabbyexcept Logitech stuff always works fine and even the cheap stuff priced as if it were aliexpress junk always outperforms everything else in its price range while lasting an eternity.
Lol I felt the same as you when I bought one. A friend of mine also has a g502 hero so I tried his and it's actually designed like that so yeah I think it's fine.
what problem?? that is normal. there is a metal pole that will rest againts teh back wheel with that wavy groove. my concern was teh wheel scrol that is not looks like previous model with rubber at the middle of the wheel.
can someone tell me why my cursor is acting weird ever since I got the mouse and how do I fix this? For example im just moving my cursor and it just stops moving and it only moves when I let go of the mouse and try again
The clicks feeling of the wheel gets worn own very fast if you spin it in infinite mode and stop it with the button. The gears get worn down... Just like you did in the vid
Get a piece of paper and rip a really small piece off, then fold it up real tight. Fit it down in the gap between the scroll wheel and the frame of the shell. Been using this method for 3 years now and works great. Tightens up the wheel and it’s still just as responsive as normal. Lmk if this helped!
i guess no one understands that when he switches his scrollwheel back on normal mode it is too loose. He knows about the infinity scroll mode and u keep talking about it when this ain't his problem.
Thank you for understanding...I have been replying to thousands but people think that i don't know about this mouse's infinite scroll. And yes i got this mouse replaced from service centre
I have the g502 lightspeed wireless. Great mouse, battery amazing, freespin button is the dumbest thing ever. To easy to press, and gets me killed daily in any fast paced game (like APEX, jump is bound to down scroll, one fast down flick in a fight... I'm done for. ) only and biggest flaw.
well without infinite you shouldn't spin it. for me it's not meant for spin but go slow and accurate so you should always have your finger on it. with infinite you can't even go accurate even you wanted so even its a refurbished one. and i see you are brutal with the spin so its pretty much normal to me
