Thank you. Yes, this is not the first time that I could save a device with the help of my 3D printer. It is a great thing to own.

Thank you for this video! I was able to take apart, diagnose, and fix my G703. Couldn't have done it without this video. I did have to buy the part off Amazon as I don't have friends with a 3d printer, but fixing the problem saved me having to throw out a perfectly good mouse that I do like and enjoy.

I just used glue and it worked perfectly. Even without the 3d printed support.

I love it when people repair stuff instead of throwing it away just to buy a new one, especially when the repaired thing becomes better than the original one. And this repair makes it better than new. Another technique to repair this if you don't have a 3D printer would be to use a single drop of super glue to re-seat the broken shaft into its correct place and alignment. When the shaft sits in its correct place and the superglue is dry, you can then fill the area around it with Araldite, while being very careful not to knock the broken bit.

Unfortunately my shaft broke right at the end at the encoder. No way of fixing it the way it's described in the video. I tried super glueing it but there is no theory. Guess I need a new mouse.

I have had mine for about 9 months and I only use my mouse about 45 minutes a day. I like the mouse but the same thing happened to mine. I can look inside of mine in the front and the shaft is broken like yours. I have tried contacting Logitech service support but it is terrible. I would try your fix but just glueing it but my age of 76 just no way because I not have a printer but also my eyes have cataracts and I can’t see to do it and I have arthritis very bad in my fingers. These mice are on sale now for $65 but it’s still much money for a mouse that might break again. My wheel began to get hard to turn the next thing I knew it quit working like yours did. I appreciate your video at least I know maybe not to buy another one. Thank You Very Much and Cheers BTW I subscribed to your channel because of the good job that you did showing and explaining it.

You could ask a friend to glue in the piece. I personally lost the, uh, plastic piece, so I carved a toothpick to be a good enough shape. Didn't need the fancy 3d addon.

What I have done is I got some JB weld plastic bonder's glue and put a little in that hole where the little piece broke off. Then put the wheel back it place and hold it up to my Air Conditioner so it could harden and it work fine.

Maybe your printer flow rate is not properly calculated. Try to decrease it. If this is still not enough try to play with the scaling. Alternatively you could drill the hole in the middle slightly bigger and sand down the outer diameter. It is trial and error 😉

You have no idea what your talking about ha 3 minutes it took that long for the glue to dry. Go blow your nose and do it in less than 3 minutes. You must not appreciate him showing you or anyone else how it can be repaired. Your very rude and a child at that.
