"It looks like a gaming headset on your head." I hate to break it to you, but , you have a gaming headset on your head. Again, I don't understand that at all. what is it you're expecting the gaming headset to look like on your head?
What he means is, some headsets such as the Logitech g pro x or the cooler master mh751 don’t look like gaming headsets, they can pass as normal headphones
imagine putting one of the Headset keys for Soldier 76 ultimate XD in the game he presses the side of his visor and u press the side of your headset to active it, you'll feel like a badass.
I got this headset myself and I love it ;D I really suggest not using the light on the headset, because it takes a lot of the battery life. Maybe just use them when at lans, so people can see the awesome RGB lighting ;D
That317Boi You need to download Logitech G Hub software, which you can find on Logitech’s website. In the software, there will be an option to turn off the RGB lights. But sometimes the RGB lights will turn on by them selfs, but you just have to turn them off again.
I also use mine all the time and never had that problem before. And the lights I always use for lan parties with my mates and is nice to see their health levels through their headsets.
Of all the reviews, I feel as though randomfrankp actually gives an actual honest review, going over both pros and cons, he's earned a sub from me, he's entertaining, pretty funny, and I feel that he's honest in his reviews, I'd buy him a pint!
its funny because i was checking this out on Amazon. and i didnt find a lot of videos on the wireless version. then boom, this morning i saw this video. pretty gooooooood
Just to let u all know that I have got this headset and had it for around 3 weeks now. It is the best headset I have ever used. It is stylish, comfortable and the speakers are absolutely amazing. As from many reviews, they say that the headset easily falls off just by tilting your head back, BUT THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM, just need to adjust the headband so that it fits on snuggly!. BTW, this headset sells for around £140 or whatever (RRP). I picked up a brand new one (just unwanted returns) from eBay for just £85. I love it
I've had the G933's for a month now and they're perfect. Apart from one firmware issue at the very start which was fixed easily, they are perfect. Frank, check that you'r clicking the sides on properly. They do also have snaps on the top of them, but if you put the top on first, then let the bottom of them snap on, you don't need to check the snap on top. But a great review otherwise!
Wish a big RU-vidr (such as yourself) could review the Steelseries H Wireless (Now the Siberia 800). Amazing quality, comes with a full mixamp which doubles as a receiver and a charger for the 2nd battery so when it dies, you don't have to be tethered to the cable. You have unlimited wireless power as your 2nd battery is always charging. Mic is great, retractable do doesn't have to be in the way when you are playing a single player or solo game. The battery is housed in the ear cups which the outside 'shield' twists and goes on so never comes off. Love mine. Wish they got more credit.
Oh snap so you did. Perhaps a Top 5 wireless gaming headsets/headphones could be a thing soon? Seem to be alot more on the way.. Razer Man O' War are coming soon. I just cant get over the convenience of a second battery thats always charged.
randomfrankp hi ,I had purchased the steel series Siberia 800 and had to return them due to the volume not going very loud at all,I don't know if it was just the unit I had purchased or was this just the way it is but I herd from other youtubers the same issue, did you find this to be true on your pair or was the volume sufficient ? other then the low volume I loved everything about the Siberia 800 and now they have the 840 inwitch I would love to purchase but am scepticle about buying because of said reason. If you have another wireless recommendation I would be happy to hear. Thank you for you're time.
I don't know which render settings you're using Frank, but please keep them! Your video looks surprisingly crisp, something other 1080p videos usually can't achieve due to youtubes harsh compression.. Keep the quality content coming! :)
The sounding is good but after a while of using the headset it's going to have ALOT of problems such as: Mic not Working, Disconnecting, breaking apart, sound not working, lights not working, bad sound quality, ear pads falling off. And thats only my problems ( i have had it for 2 and a Half years)
Everything people say is true! I love these headphones. The best, and most over looked feature, is the 3.5mm port on the wireless USB-dongle!!! I looped the audio from my sound-card/AMP/DAC to the G933 wireless-usb-dongle using a 3.5mm phone extention (male-to-male 3.5mm stereo cable). The audio was drastically better!!!! It took good audio and made it great! Using this setup allows you to control the audio with your sound-card/AMP/DAC. It takes flat audio and wakes it up with full fidelity. Please try!!!
Bought this on sale last stock. after a few months of use short & long sessions, if you’re looking for a headset with good sound like dts or dolby atmos surround sounds, good battery, lightweight/comfy then this is it, some drawbacks would be if the battery’s die & decide to wire up then surround sound and dts or dolby will be also off, so make sure you stay charged for full sound benefits. And they’re very customizable with its official pc hub
I use the G633 as my daily driver gaming headset and I think you may have a defective unit. The covers on the earcups have never fallen off on mine. Bashing the buttons makes no sense, better to have more options and features or less?
+Brandon Breuer I was about to write this. I have had this since launch and NEVER had the shields fall off. Only thing I had happen was on my first pair the pivot thing to turn the cup broke.
dude i will buy this headset from amazon. it will cost me 70 euro. i just buying for gaming. Dou you recommend g933 or should i look other headsets ? Review saying g933 mic is so bad is it true ?
hey frank it's really nice to see you're video's ,im diggin it , but u gotta upload fast like one video a day or something like that i understand it's hard but me and alot people want more videos, we have to wait too long to watch your cool videos ;) , please upload a video a day like room tour project is videos are the ones we need but thank you anyway for your hardwork , your videos, everything is cool and awesome :)
These headphones are brilliant and I completely agree with your review apart from the surround quality. You can use Dolby Surround or DTS Surround. Dolby is the default when you just switch it on and does sound very bad and tinny, however if you switch it to DTS it sounds amazing, just like stereo but surround!
Good review, I found them on Amazon for $139.00 now (probably because people weren't paying that $200 for all that extra crap you talked about that no one wants on a wireless headset) so I went into a BestBuy and picked a pair up on a price match. I think you're exactly right, $200 is too much to pay seeings your paying for those features that actually hurt the battery life. But for $140, I think that's a good buy so I went for them.
The lights would be awesome when you are at some type of gaming event or convention where lots of people are watching and filming you. Definitely would keep the lights.
Wish they had a basic model without the removable shield, rgb lighting, macro keys and wireless. This would have brought the cost way down and make it a must buy.
i hate to disagree mostly but as someone who edits sound for my job, i take the macro for profiles handy af, i can change them depending on the kind of music im using(even if im not editing, just listening) and chancers are not slim at all, its a matter of getting used to it, bashing the RBG on a headset is something that everyone should do and lets not leave corsair behind there, since theyr VOID series have RGB also(why?) also that mic default preset is awefull and seriously need some tunning, i will stay with my condenser mic(kind of obvious) and having tried the void and some others, im seriously thinking about giving the Artemis a try, they have some of the features im looking for, would´ve killed for a wired version tho, not exactly a fan of wireless myself. all and all, you did a great and honest review and props for being one of the first youtubers in saying the truth about how pointless RGB is on a headset Good job there Frank. P.S: shields are being held by magnets, yes, just like the bottom of the G502(different situations same resource)
Im right here with you, got the G502 (39.99) the G910 SPECTRUM (89.99) and the G933 (99.99) holy shit im one happy camper. placed my old G19s, G9x and G930
dairon bayon I got the same setup XD I'll be getting the sennheiser hd598 , with the fiio 10k amp and the neewer nw800. But i'll keep all off it i am so happy with all of them
Did you mention that it's 2.4 GHz wireless and not Bluetooth? 2.4 GHz can reach much farther distances than Bluetooth, so it can serve other purposes such as using it as music headphones and a softphone telephone headset.
The mic quality is what I was most interested in as I do a lot of speech recognition. There was a clear quality difference when you did that in the demo- genius idea. What mic did you use for the video, because that was crystal clear? Great demo!
I just wound up getting a pair of v-moda m100's with the v-moda mic and xl ear cups. If you have the money to throw at those I would highly recommend them.
You have to wiggel the side plates on the headset a bit for them to lock up good. Had the same problem when i first got my hedset but now they havent fallen off for months. I agree, the ligths are unnecessary, newer use those.
I own these for about 4 months now, and never have had the sides come off.... just saying, that is not a common complaint of these headphones. Now you can get them for about $120, they are a steal at that price for a good gaming headset.
I just got the headset and it’s great. The only thing I probably don’t like about it is it’s wired headset version but then again I don’t know how to use it. The wireless version is so good and rich. And the mic is actually really good I don’t know what these RU-vidrs be doing with there mic test but it sounds great.
The thing with the shields isn't the headset. Me and my friend has the Logitech G933 Wireless Artemis Spectrum, and the magnets under the shield works without flaws.
honestly dont see why you make the lights a big deal, its like having a certain colored headset, why does it matter you cant see the color, the light gives basically a custom color on the headset that you can change to your liking...
What mouse is that? I currently use a G500s and it's been a great mouse since I purchased it a few years back, but it's stating to wear out and I'm looking to upgrade soon. What would you recommend just for casual gaming and everyday use?
I really don't understand people at all. it's been a few years since the g933 came out, i still own it and just a few minutes ago i packed the corsair virtuoso se back into it's package for a return. the corsair sounds soooooo bad compared to the g933. both in stereo and surround sound mode and even when i used the wired usb connection it still sounded worse then the g933 wireless... next thing. you said that g933s surround sounds fake and bad and that stereo sound is way better. dafuq is wrong with your ears? the g933s stereo is not better then it's surround sound options. the dolby or dts headphone x is way superior compared to both stereo and the virtuoso.
it is compatible. i still use mine today and just an hour ago compared it to the corsair virtuoso se wireless. what a badly sounding headset the virtuoso is, damnit. packed it back to return it.
I'm soon to be in a position to finally get my workstation setup's components and making sure everything is what I actually need. While thinking about multiple monitors a lot lately, I noticed something curious about yours. Your upper monitor has a protrusion at the top. Is that an LG monitor that's flipped up-side down and then re-flipped in the OS so that you can have as small a bezel as possible between the two monitors?
My G930 broke months ago, but someone told me they got a replacement, so I contacted support to see if I could get one. They're sending me one of these for free.
Check out Razer ManO'War , maybe even compare them , Razer is $169 on Amazon.com and the G933 is $166 so pretty close Razer's is wireless too , has RGB lights and pretty similar overall .
I’ve gone through my second part of these headphones and they are so fragile. The only thing I don’t like about it is how if I look up with them, they slide right off my head. Wish they thought through about the build quality
i got g933 , 3 years ago and in just 5 months since i got them they stopped working.. wont go on or off it just stays at sleep mode and it will never go on ..logitech said something to upgrade the frimwire or something.. never was able to update it cuz it was crashing while it was updating... logiguy send me a new one.. now i use the old headset us a handsfree headset.. sad
These are really sweet headsets, my only complaint is you can't hear your self talk on them. I like hearing myself on my mic so I'm not screaming at my gamer buddies
g933 wireless keeps messing up the USB dongle died on the 1st one and the RMA is all static no with people with hear aids in the apartment building down the hall also the cheap up down mic on the g933 stop working a few weeks ago (after taking all apart one see a .25cent switch. Need a new pair now and will never use wireless again cause this problem with the G933 (the G933 have is worth $5 off out of the factory were over pay to be assault in this case)(g933 mic is useless with out splitter in for the PC and not in Box works on the IPOD tho) the PRO X is wired!!??? and no need for a USB Dongle? or the is for the HUB? way would they just have a set up like the Realtek hd audio with most mother boards? (no more wireless(Bluetooth/WIFI) for me
the "hollow" sound he is talking about was annoying in the beginning, but after a while you get used to it and it sounds more realistic, i think that when you have it turned off it just sounds dull and fake. It gives you a more realistic sound as if you're actually there.
I find the macro buttons to be really useful in music players like foobar2000, where some frequently used features are hidden deep down in menus. Like when I'm putting down my headset and wanna switch output to speaker instead, I just put it down and press one button. Sound wise, the builtin DAC is just 'good enough' but the actual drivers are much more capable than that, as I discovered when plugging it to a good DAC via a good 3.5mm cable. I'd put it up there with M50's when it's wired. So *to me* the price is well justified.
Hey what’s going on, I just had a question because I’m currently trying to buy a headset because I’m currently using some inside the ears ones and they work fine but just tryna get some nice ones, I been doin a bunch of research on headphones such as this one, turtle beach, cosairs and others but I just wanna know the ones you’d prefer with good mic and hear steps in fortnite
I think you're not supposed to see the light strips, as they might be distracting during gameplay. However, they might come in handy at LAN parties, when your buddies can see your health status. What do u guys think?
RGB lighting addition seems to be a response to the "market thirst" and what other companies are offering, this is their edition of that sector of a gamers market. Are you thinking that they should have just: 1.) Released a slimmer headset. 2.) Ditched the RGB lighting 3.) Ditched the additional/bindable control buttons 3.) Made snap-on panels on the sides 4.) Somehow included larger drivers into the headset without making it somehow larger on the head. Right? If you thin out the experience in general, remove all the features - don't you have what is a reasonably flooded market segment already with "wireless headphones" that can be purchased for much less? Right. No problem: www.google.com/search?q=logitech+H600&rlz=1C1GCEA_enUS766US766&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwipusXywO7ZAhUH64MKHbFbDQcQ_AUICigB&biw=1018&bih=576#spd=4309104749686169285
i have a problem with the wireless mode, where I can't connect it to the software and it says my G933 is in sleep mode. After I powered it on, it disappeared making me not able to customize my lights and macros with the software. I've tried different methods but hasn't work at all. Is there anywhere to solve this problem without going back to the store to get help?
I got them and I'm not too impressed they're heavy af and the band doesn't stay latched they move around when I go to put them on. Forgot to mention I got them with a 2 year warranty for 150
please do dazumba d-vito 685 case you may need to buy it not on amazon because it's not available there. dazumba d-vito is really cool for budget gaming build because it come with integrated 450w psu and also got that kind of razer vibe into it(the colour is green and black with some green led inside) plz do a rview on it im waiting :)
