Love the Viper Ultimate. I use a palm grip for productivity and a claw grip for gaming. It works great for both grip styles. Yes, it has smaller mouse feet than the Superlight, but the mouse still glides very well. At the end of the day, shape is king. Yes, the Superlight is 10 grams lighter, but I personally think if you do not like the shape, then it is not worth it. Either way, I got the VIper Ultimate for $85 USD on Prime Day with the charging dock, so I got a total steal!
After trying both, I found that the viper feels way better in my hand than the superlight. This surprised me bc as the review says, they look very similar. However, the razer seems to have more pronounced curves that imo feel better to grip. Still I way prefer the lightness of the superpro, so this decision was super hard for me. I went with the viper bc I am used to razer mice but I kind of regret not going with the lighter superlight, I have no need for the extra buttons or the rgb either.
You can get a 3rd party charging dock for all G series Logitech, one that has an RGB strip at the back and another that is exactly the same minus the RGB strip. Soarking Charging Dock for Logitech Mouse is the cheaper, the other one I forget the name, but that one you need to buy from the US. UPDATE - YOU339 Pitta Studio Mouse Powerplay Wireless Charging is an alternative with RGB.
Jeez, I bought the Viper Ultimate V1 in 2019 when it came out, now after 2 years It still "works", but I had to change the glides once and add rubber pads on top. A lot of like the weird fiber dust gets into the hole for the laser and because of that I think It sometimes doesn't register the motion as it should and it just cuts off, It's weird. Another thing is that the buttons feel really loose like they could fall off. It's just weird, but I wonder if I should try the Viper Ultimate V2 (newer version) that apparently fixed the loose buttons, but not sure about the motion if it also somehow improved. On the other hand, Simple is playing with the Logitech X Superlight and I think it probably glides better than the Viper Ultimate (cuz there are no edges that it can get stuck in like on the Viper Ultimate in the middle where the power cable attaches or in the back where it rests on the charging stand). Do any of you guys play CS:GO and had a chance to test both? Which one do you prefer?
I prefered the razer viper ultimae (the newer version) although I generally prefer "heavier" mice and a control mouse pad compared to the logitech x superlight fast and lightweight feel.
Hi imik, I know I am a bit late to reply. I bought a Viper Ultimate back in May of 2020. Not sure if it's Gen 1 or whatever, but I assume it to be because of the issues I'm dealing with now. The squeaky, screechy mouse clicks, dust getting trapped in the worst places (i.e., mouse feet, the sensor, USB insert, side buttons, and main mouse buttons), and inside rattling. It's a mouse that I've tried to get acclimated with for ages. While it was my daily driver, I would be in games where it would just feel off despite countless LOD adjustments and mouse feet replacements, specifically Tiger arcs 2 and Corepadz. I do play CSGO a lot and my lord did I have consistency issues. However, it wasn't until recently when I manually calibrated a glorious mousepad (with a surface distance of 2), which provided some feel of consistency, but still, I couldn't find that "endgame feel". I did buy a Logitech X Superlight and so far I'm enjoying it. It grips well, the mouse feet are surprisingly good (not sure if I'm gonna change them soon), battery life is insane, and the tracking to me is awesome. I still need more time with it, but I think this might be my "endgame" until something like a Razer Viper Ultimate mini comes out. Like you, I was thinking of buying an updated Viper Ultimate considering how cheap it is on Amazon right now, almost 50-60 dollars less than the Superlight but I decided I needed to try something new.
So I’ve heard great things about the super light but the viper ultimate is available with the dock for $90 compared to the $130 of the superlight and I’m quite used to the Deathadder elite.
Viper Ultimate with the dock is often $160 here in Canada, while the Superlight is almost always $199. The Viper Ultimate is definitely way better bang for the buck unless 10g is the end of the world for you, especially since the dock makes charging just so convenient.
Shape is importing,most people have medium or small hands so they would prefer the Viper ultimate. The Gpro x fit better with people who has large hands or xlarge, i have an xlarge hand and when i tried the RVU it forced me into a more inclined finger position (claw) which made me uncomfortable for long sessions.
Good comparison, still prefer the ergonomics of the Deathadder v2 pro or if I was on a budget the G703. I tried a viper ultimate and it was just too uncomfortable to use for long periods of time probably because of my big hands, I dont think ambidextrous mice are for me. It must suck to use a mouse in your left hand as there isnt really a market for ergo left handed gaming mice.
Used the G703 Hero for 2 years and it failed on me in the end just like it did on the majority of the buyers. Double click issue, then the RGB went bananas. Switched to Superlight and the change was brutal for me in the beginning. I just loved the G703 shape. If only the G703 would receive the Superlight treatment with new clicks and no RGB. I am using the Superlight for 1 month now and I am on the verge of making it one with my hand. Still not there yet, while the G703 was love at first touch.

Super light because of shape of your used to it I’ve been using a death adder so I’m going to choose a viper ultimate because of shape and I don’t care as much of 10 grams of a difference so good luck on your choice! Hope I helped a bit!

@@hghhjnheurjbdhxici3bbr571 I have the superlight and it feels sooo good for gaming. I’ve always used heavier mice and switching to a very light mouse was very nice. The only minus for me is the thin skates and using the extra skate makes it drag a bit. But overall it’s definitely a great mouse. Idk how expensive it is for you but I got mine for $100
I really like the viper ultimate. The logitech g pro is coming in today. For some reason in fps titles my viper ultimate would stutter. Not in any other genre of game though. Just fast past first person shooters.
Viper has 8k polling rate so when u swipe it makes the game stutter and you lose ton of fps i lowered mine to 4k hz then down to 1000 but if i cant use the 8k why did i pay that money right? So switched to logitech…. Stuttering was the reason

Yup Logitech mice are great but the durability on them is garbage. I bought like 4 G503 heros when they were $30 because I expect them to fail shortly after a year. Think I'll go with the viper ultimate ultralight and see how that fairs although I really hate synapse because its literal malware.
When you get used to the viper ultimate, the side buttons are a lot easier to press and more responsive, so that’s why it’s a lot of peoples go to. The only thing that bothers me are the feet, I don’t know how to replace them and one of them is damaged and sometimes it stops the mouse from gliding
After you remove em all, use the alcohol wipe that comes with the new feet, and just clean the place where the feet were, it's to clean up some of the leftover adhesive. After that just put the new feet as accurately as you can and put some pressure on them when you're sure they're in place. They should feel great after 3,4 days cuz they'll be adjusting (kinda) till then
Also, be careful with the sensor ring!!! Don't point the Tweezers to it and just be very careful. Aaand lastly the point from where you remove them. There should be a little "hole" somewhere around the feet, you put the Tweezers in it and gently pull up
I just got the Viper Ultimate. The one thing I don't really like is the scrolling wheel. I am used to smooth scrolling. Does the Logitech have a more smooth scrollwheel?
Both of these mice are designed to be as light as possible while maintaining design integrity and functionality. You would definitely feel a night and day difference, in comparison to a heavy office mouse. If that's not an issue for you, I personally have a Logitech G pro super light and would strongly recommend to gamers and non-gamers alike

Technically it can. I think the main reason is more and more devices are moving to USB-C - so more cables knocking around the house and it's much easier to plug in.

You can get the viper ultimate with the dock for £69.99 currently on amazon and the super light for £99 I think it is
@@veryinterestingpersonaliti8321 I got the superlight and I definitely prefer the death adder shape but I far prefer the weight of the superlight. I think the only reason the Shape feels strange is because I will need to readjust my grip as the death adder is an ergo mouse and is really easy to hold
Mouse enthusiasts in r/mousereview highly recommend the pro superlight because when i did a poll about the viper ultimate and the pro superlight, the people chose the superlight more
@@BlizzardWind99 well you should be into razer not Logitech. Logitech used to be better but now with the viper ultimate it’s a no brainier. It’s cheaper, comes with a charging dock, and is a better mouse
The Viper Ultimate is the best mouse on the planet and it's not even close. The rubberized texture on the Razer makes all the difference and makes the superlight look and feel cheap. Logitech always gets "close" but they never get over the hump. There is always some compromise that makes their products fall short.
