@@wheelskis Hi Tim. Within the Logitech app shown on the second half of the video, did you try clicking on the "Advanced" Settings at the top right of that app? (I show only the basic "home" settings in the video but there is an advanced settings option that will give you focus/brightness options). Good luck!

thanks for the video. It would be great if you showed the same for mac and for zoom. I have essentially the same issue you described in the beginnning of you video. the mac default camera is simply too wide and would like to know if the logitech webcam can focus.

Hello @Calabamian it "should" work with that camera as well. Make sure you update your camera with the latest OS. Here is a video of me doing this with the Brio: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y2WUFKwekOo.html (you'll have to select your camera obviously). Once you do that, you can try again. If that still doesn't work, you'll have to reach out directly to Logitech.
In my office laptop we are not allowed to install any external applications, so can you please tell me how can I adjust the camera zoom settings of Logitech Brio or Avermedia pw 513 zoom settings for streaming on zoom application. Is there any way? Default camera angle is 90 degrees say if I want to decrease it can I do that without installing the application?
Hello @Prasenjit Chatterjee Unfortunately without being able to install software, I don't think there's much that can be done (that I'm aware of) to adjust your camera settings. In all my experiences thus far, all manipulation of this has been done outside of Zoom using the Logitech software. Maybe someday Zoom will build this in, but as of 12/12/2021, the feature doesn't exist in Zoom that I'm aware of. Do drop a line back here if you find a way to do this without also installing software. Seems to me if you made this request from your company, it would be a legitimate ask and an exception can be made to do this.
Sir I downloaded camera settings app...there are two options home and advanced...but advanced tab fully is not visible...like contrast and auto white balance part

Hello @Lucy Komisar - great question. Both seem to get the job done. I think I have a slight preference to use the Logitech software only because it takes up less room when it's opened. (In other words, the window is smaller leaving me more room to see other things during a meeting). However, I haven't done extensive testing during my presentations as these days I tend to use the Mac more than the Windows computer. On the other hand, the one advantage for people to use the camera settings is that it comes with Windows 10 so there is no need to download anything else. So, the bottom line is, either one should work and it comes down to what you find you like better. Also note that I believe only one can be opened at a time. Best of luck!

@Market Your Industry Sorry for the massive delay in this response. So, I just tested this now and if you load an application for Windows called "Logitech Camera Settings," you are able to zoom in and out while on a Zoom meeting. Note that the Logitech Camera Settings App has to be running at the same time you are presenting on Zoom. In other words, the settings may or may not be stored if you quit the Logitech application.

I purchased the C930e. I downloaded the software as advised. But when I return to the Windows Camera app, the settings do not apply. I run the logitech software again, zoom in and close the settings app. But when I open the Camera app, the webcam is still zoomed out and I cannot adjust it.
Hi Paula. Yes, I believe in order for the settings to work back into the Windows camera app, you have to be running the Logitech Camera app at the same time. Every time you open the Windows camera app again, it puts everything back to the default and you have to override that with the Logitech app. You may see this behavior on other software you use as well. So, first, open the main software you plan to use and then use the Logitech software to adjust from there. Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to have it "stick" from one program to another. The Logitech settings themselves stick but that's only with that program apparently and doesn't stick for others in some of the testing I've done on this end. Good luck!

Are we talking about a different company also named Logitech? I want to zoom my webcam so it stays zoomed in Camtasia as well as other programs. You made downloading the software to do this seem really easy (and it should be easy). It is NOT easy. For my C920 I find exactly one download--Capture 2.02.155. After an enormous amount of trouble just getting it to open, I found that yes, it's easy to adjust the zoom, but two, it ONLY stays zoomed in Capture. Once I closed Capture and opened Camtasia, it was not zoomed. Moreover, there is no way to save an icon or shortcut to the desktop as you show. Am I not getting something? I would really appreciate a reply and maybe a link. Thanks.
@Carl Hart Hi Carl! I do apologize for my very late response on this question. By now you may have solved all this? You may have to run the capture software side by side in order for it to work with other programs. I believe the icon got created on the desktop during the installation process automatically. Where are you at with all this by now?
just downloaded the C920 and do not see "Camera" where you suggested. I see logitech webcam and logitech camera settings, and neither of those open up the screen like yours

Hi David. Sorry for the delay on this response. I think in late Oct Logitech applied some fixes in their camera settings software. I would locate those if you can on the Logitech site and download the latest version of "Camera Settings" - to see if that makes a difference. Hi there. So, there is no app to control this via mobile that I'm aware of. This is likely because the camera itself is a computer-connected device. But you have a really good idea here. One other cray thought would be to use use sidecar on MacOS That might be one way to get the control software to appear on your mobile device. However, that still requires a computer which may be exactly what you are trying to avoid. Thanks for watching!
Is it possible to have zoom presets with this camera so that you can switch between zoomed out and zoomed in with one click, rather that everyone on the livestream watching you nudge the camera perspective into position?
Hey There OZTutoh. With the built-in software on Windows, there is no "presets" at all. Same with the Logitech Software (no presets). Now, fairly recently Logitech has been upgrading and pushing their capture software called "Logicam" which does have presets!! (Mac Only through www.logitech.com/en-us/product/capture). However, I tested it today with Zoom Meetings and Zoom Meetings cannot piggy pack off these presets automatically. You still have to monkey with the settings step by step in order for something like Zoom Meetings to understand it. So, the short answer is no for meeting software. However, with live streaming which is what I think you're talking about, your live streaming software should already have many preset options so with the click of a button you can go from one camera to another or from one camera setting to another. I use "Ecamm Live" for live streaming on the Mac and I think it's one of the best if not the best for this sort of thing. People on Windows tend to use OBS.

@@OZTutoh Ah good, because as you saw my response was mostly focused on the idea that you (or others) wanted to use Zoom meeting. I imagine there will be a great emphasis on further development by all these online meeting companies to accommodate more and more features like this as the entire world continues to use this as the new means to communicate and collaborate together. I assume we are still in the Model "T" stage of things when it comes to software like this. Imagine if we were in a pandemic 20 years ago how different it things would be? Lots of phone calls, very little "facetime".
I just bought a 1200mm wide pull up green screen but my microsoft lifecam 3000 looks awful on zooming. Maybe its because its a 720p. I really could do with a 1080 logitech but here in UK they are all sold out due to covid.
Hey Rob. Well, the camera may play a part in that but so could the lighting. Try brighter/even lights on you if you haven't already. Also the program you are using to chroma out the background could also make a difference there too.
Yes and no. The camera will still give you a final output of 1080 but the resolution is magnified which will give you the impression that the quality has gone down (which it has) on whatever it has zoomed in on. This is not unlike what happens when you zoom in while taking a picture on your phone. The file size and output will still be to whatever the camera is set for but because it has been zoomed in, the visible quality has gone down.
I installed that latest 'camera settings' download from Logitech (2.10.4) to run on my PC operating Windows 10. I sue a Logitech webcam c920. the camera settings look the same as shown about 8 mins into this video, but neither the pan nor zoom facility work. Any ideas?

In the video, I'm downloading the software specific to the 930e and that could make a difference there for sure. If you already downloaded the correct software specific to your exact camera, then, I'm currently stumped as to why you don't see similar settings on yours at the moment. Pls report back.
@@MeTechie Thanks, yes the driver is the correct one, the camera identification shows in bottom right 'HD Pro webcam c920 control' i can confirm this with screenshot. The control panel for camera settings is exactly the same as you show for the c930e, I cannot get any response from the zoom or pan controls. I have checked that the webcam driver is the latest one and no updates exist. I can also send a screenshot of the driver properties screen if required. I have also downloaded the logitech gaming software (version 9.02) as this offers access to webcam settings and camers properties, but once installed it can't find the camera so no menu for controls! - is this a clue? If you haven't already done so, install Camera Settings 2.10.4 (I assume you are using Windows 10?). support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024849133--Downloads-HD-Pro-Webcam-C920 (that update came out a year ago on 2019-07-08. Not sure if this will help or not. It says that it reports and improvement to "ease to firmware updates" and it's the firmware we're after. I assume you can install the latest firmware within the Camera Settings App in some manor.
Sorry for the delay on this @Leon Dawson I think you could possibly use 3rd party software to help with this. Did you already test out Logi Tune? It's free from Logitech and can provide some basic zooming.
Interesting. Seems like something else is at play. Not sure what is going on. Try connecting just the camera to your computer (remove any and all other items connected via the USB) and then restart. If that still doesn't work, try reinstalling the Logitech software for the camera. Never seen anything like this. Logitech tech support might need to be summoned.
Hi Veronica. The short answer is yes, you can mirror the C930e so long as the software you are using to drive it has a "mirror" option available. For example, one of the pieces of software I use is something called "Ecamm Live" which allows you to use your webcam and it also has the mirror option. Also if you use software that records your with the web cam on a separate track, you can typically edit that track and mirror it during the editing process. I do this as well with a program called "ScreenFlow" - hope that helps answer the question. I think mirroring a camera is more about the software you are using than it is about the camera itself.
It’s great but not compatible with Zoom. I just upgraded to a c920s but I’m already regretting the purchase. I already have my settings where I want them with Logitech but when I open Zoom and choose HD is when it decides to zoom out and give that wide angle. The only way my circular green screen for chair will work is if shove my ribs into the keyboard. I wanted to improve user experience by recording with a better quality. I was using a 720 and thought using a 1080 would be a step in the right direction. This has been nothing one big headache. When you open the zoom app it doesn’t allow you to open the camera app at the same time. At this time it looks like the only option is to find a way to make a 10x8 green screen when sitting less than 2 feet from the camera. Disappointed with Zoom and Logitech. 👎👎👎

@@MeTechie I finally found out it was Zoom causing me all the problems. They also told me my video are only 360p with the free version so I stopped using them. I decided to use OBS and now have everything I want. More control and better quality.👍
Hi Robert, I don't know if you tried this already but in Zoom, next to "start video" you should see a small arrow pointing upward. Click that little arrow, and a list with all your camera options will show. Select your webcam on that list, and it should show the video image from your webcam. Hope this helps.

Interesting. I'm not able to duplicate this fully. Changes to contrast and zoom level stayed after a shutdown but it went back to "Standard" versus "wide-screen" after the restart even though I closed it with "Wide Screen" selected. So, mixed results on this end.
Agreed. The results have been mixed while using Zoom. I'm trying to find a fix for this but have yet have been able to. My next test is to download the latest camera settings which have recently been updated in late Oct 2020. support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049055854
