Been thinking of looking into this. Planning to build a PC gaming room where direction surround sound is extremely important. I achieved this in my movie room with a traditional Yamaha amp and 7.4 system combination of B&W center speaker 2 tower main speakers, and 4 Klipsch surround speaker. Thinking of doing the same of a PC gaming setup but much smaller room.
Yeah pcs have issues with outputting dolby digital. I personally use my laptop with vlc and the signal goes over hdmi into my tv optical out to my logitech z5500

First of all, check that you have played your 5.1 video and then enable audio pass through in the settings of your TV. If it is still not possible then check your optical wire.
someone takes movies seriously, there should be 6 boxes for that, it's just a movie, you don't need to take it so seriously, there's more to TV than movies Logitech z623 is enough for me, I don't need speakers to scream next to my ears, it's pointless The Logitech z623 is perfectly capable of watching movies, the z906 just requires more work and more dusting you have to use reason in all matters and not be crazy three boxes are enough just fine and nothing more 6 boxes is way too many walls full of crap looks ugly there is no need for anything on the walls three boxes are enough for a normal and sensible older person like me small children and children-minded adults need 6 boxes when they have nothing else in life than speakers
You may think so, but hobby is a big thing. A person who does not have any hobby is not a human being, some in car, some in bike, some in computer, some in the world of travelling. This is my hobby and I am very happy with it. You may also have some favorite work but I have no problem with it.
It s a 5.1 sistem and that means when you watch a movie you have 5 channels and a subwoofer , frist 3 channels are: front right , center and front left , the other 2 channels are : rear right and rear left . The last channel is subwoofer , so when you watch a movie the z906 decode it and not all 6 drivers are blasting , the front center is for dialogue and the other 4 channels are not working , when some action happens each channel has a separate sound that creates like a 3d surround because each speaker has it s individual sound
Full crap not good much worse thx is much better I trust it more than that atmos crap it's just plain crap and funding just nothing else That atmos crap is a soundbar invented crap and nothing else
