One of the best designing channels I've seen, explaining everything with explanation this is a highly recommended channel for beginners and others as well.
PLEASE PLEASE DO MORE SUCH VIDEOS OF YOUR DESIGN PROCESS PLEASE, ITS BEEN VERY LONG TIME SINCE YOU HAVE UPLOADED ANY VIDEOS ON YOUR CHANNEL, DESIGN PROCESS LIKE DESIGNING SOCIAL MEDIA CREATIVES BASED ON CLIENT BRIEFS, SELECTING COLORS, FONTS, SELECTING LAYOUT COMPOSITION, GRAPHICS ELEMENTS PLACEMENT AND POSITION AND PRESENTATION...PLEASE
Found it rather long but informative. I would have draw a square, cut out the bottom line, rounded the caps, reflected it and boom, the top half already created in one minute. Use the shaper tool to remove the unwanted lines. Better still use, the golden circles, to bang out the same design in two to three minutes. However, his thought process is amazing. Great work
Can I ask in which step would we discuss with the client about the options of the logo? Is it after we do rough sketching, or after refine sketching, or after we finish the Ai version? Thank you!
I usually ask two questions related to logo type 1) About logotype like letter, abstract, pictorial etc. 2) I ask the client to share some designs that he really likes. If client replied of these questions, then this provides you a way, to proceed with.
@@RoyalLogos i mean after you get what the client wants and you come up with several ideas and options in the rough sketch, then would you let the client pick the one they like or would you pick the best one yourself and make the illustration of it on Ai? Like what is the moment you show the client your design options: after you do rough sketching, or you show them after you transfer them into digital versions?
@@huantran8720 If you show all the rough sketches to the client, then he will ask you to digitalize all of them, one after another, in no of revisions. That's why i choose, most suitable 2-3 options, digitalize them and then represent to the client by using different layouts and mockups.
With all respect, your drawing on illustrator is too much complex when it is easy, if you use guides and snap it will shorten your time of making the logo .
You are absolutely right. Both the refine sketching and illustrator drawing is very complex. To improve this, I have uploaded another logo design process video, with much simpler steps. Please check this video and share your feedback : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sqDTgVqYv1c.html
I agree, he could've saved a bunch of steps. One example would be towards the end. Instead of using the reflect tool for each part, what he could've done was just design one part of the design (since the logo is symmetrical) then copy/paste in front. While the pasted version is still selected, right-click and select reflect in that menu. Choose "Vertical" and then ok. Then all you do is move the parts over to the other side and join the endpoints. Done.
