If the object is unsaturated or the entire image is in black and white, cast shadows are never completely pitch black; they always exhibit a darker shade that reflects the original color of the object. Therefore, introducing a touch of dark brown in the cast shadows of the potatoes would have added an even more natural appearance.
Really great video! cant figure out the grids in AI to save my life. I can make a grid but cant adjust it and dont know how you turned the grid into solid lines
I made a grid using the Grid Tool (and you can use the arrow keys while dragging the grid to change the number of lines and columns), and then I turned the grid into guides. You can turn basically any vector object into guides in Illustrator. This video might help you out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LF2aWlrgN88.html
Thanks Andy, however, you werent explaining most functions in AI esp for beginners like me, i literally wasnt following despite replaying multiple times. The explanations were kinda based on intermediate learners and skilled ones. Well, that left no justice for some of us lol
Great ATT! oh by the way, unsure guy here, am planning for a digital graphic design contest? any idea thats of help to my planning a contest on digital arts?
Make sure to see a lot of design references (especially if the contest has a specific topic you know of). Stay up to date with trends and the like. I guess that's the most important :)
