Well done mate, your presentation skills are perfect. Your speed of delivery is spot-on and you know that with a tool such as this, you will be talking to seasoned designers who don't need a bunch of hand-holding… and we all appreciate that. I have been on the fence as to if this tool really held up to what it claimed it could do, and your tutorial here has me convinced that this is pretty much a must have! I have just wrapped up designing a corporate logo and there are 2 versions of each lockup (wireframe and solid in vertical and landscape), as well as wireframe and solid versions of the logomark, in a variety of colors. Good grief… there was about to be some hair pulling in the export process and this will save me lightyears of time. Cheers! Oh, and keep up your excellent work.

Hi :) Love this program so far but yet to see the automatic colour selections in print. How accurate do you find the CMYK and Pantone colours are in print?
@schumcreative

Great video, Col. Couldn't agree more. The cost is paid for in less than one client project. Amazing product. Would love better integration with newer Pantone colors. Pantone Color Bridge colors library addition would be nice or integration with Pantone Connect at an eventual time.
@RockYourBrand
@RockYourBrand 3 года назад
Yeah, the extension is reliant on the libraries that are present inside Illustrator. So if you haven't updated them to the latest libraries, it will be working with pantone swatches from over a decade ago. Would be cool if it did connect in some way to Pantone Connect. I'll speak to Michael (the creator) to see if that is feasible for a future version.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, Col! One thing I noticed was that it creates a white (or inverted) pdf version. It saves it on a white background, so am I right in thinking this file is a bit useless and doesn't need to be included in the client pack? I get that white PNG's with transparency are really useful, but what do you reckon? Just thought I might be missing something..
@RockYourBrand
@RockYourBrand 2 года назад
That PDF is still useful. Don't think of that particular PDF from a printing on paper perspective. it is more useful from the point of view of vinyl cutting where a PDF is requested instead of an EPS file. They will use the outline paths from the PDF to guide the vinyl cutter. So I still include the inverted PDF as part of the package :)
@SnakesNSquids
@SnakesNSquids 2 года назад
@@RockYourBrand Ahh, so it does still have the path in the PDF! I thought it must have just flattened the white logo onto a white background, didn't realise they could still pick out the path from it, so that makes more sense. Thanks for your help!
@RockYourBrand
@RockYourBrand 2 года назад
@@SnakesNSquids I admit. I actually haven’t checked! But I am going to guess that if you open that PDF up in Adobe Illustrator and switch to outline view you’ll see the paths.

Hi. This may be a silly question, but I am always unsure with what Logo sizing I should provide? I tried the sizing you put in this video, but they're all super pixelated. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks
@RockYourBrand
@RockYourBrand Год назад
Hi Sophia, Not silly at all. I am presuming this is for the web/digital exported files, and not the print files. Strange that they are looking pixelated. Are you maybe viewing the exported files at a larger viewing size than they have been exported? For example you export at 400 pixels width but you are then viewing that file at 200% size.
@sophiahughes9270
@sophiahughes9270 Год назад
@@RockYourBrand Thank you for your speedy response. Yes, exported for web/digital. Hmm no, I am viewing them at the correct viewing size, and still they're looking v pixelated. I've just tried to export with higher pixels, but still I am getting the same result. Which has now left me very confused. Could there be any other known reason for this?
@RockYourBrand
@RockYourBrand Год назад
Hmmm, that is strange. What I’d do is reach out to Michael, the creator of LPE. He is super helpful and he’ll help you to diagnose the issue. michael@thelogopackage.com Let me know how you get on :)

Thank you so much for this video. I just completed my first paid logo for a client. I am terrified I will screw up sending all the right files, versions and details of the logo the client will need. This program seems like it idiot proofs the process for me. Am I correct? I didn’t even think about padding...

Wow this is cool, but what if I want to export a complex logo with gradient colors? like a mascot logo
@RockYourBrand
@RockYourBrand 3 года назад
I don't know the exact answer to that. I'll send your question to Michael, the developer of Logo Package Express :)
@LogoPackage
@LogoPackage 3 года назад
Hello! Logo Package Express can handle gradients with no problem - it just doesn't convert gradients to Pantone because that process is better handled manually by the designer. A logos complexity can impact the performance of the extension because Logo Package Express expands artwork and releases clipping masks in order to recolor the logos. If your logo uses a lot of clipping paths, you'll need to use the pathfinder or shape builder tool to reduce that complexity first. If you use effects that end up creating lots of anchor points and paths when expanded, you'll want to take a look at the tutorial about working with complex logos on my Channel.

I can never figure out how to add more color variations to my logos with this
@SnakesNSquids
@SnakesNSquids 2 года назад
It'll only let you export one full colour version based on whatever your source logo is in Illustrator, so I think you'd need to create each colour version in Illustrator, and then use LPE to export each one seperately
@RockYourBrand
@RockYourBrand 2 года назад
Yes, that’s what I do EverythingToNothing. Maybe there will be some functionality in a future version for multiple colour variations.
