Such a great song, my father used to play this over and over again, he was a great friend of Pat's and played guitar for him before he met Chris Logue, my dad and Pat had won an Irish song contest I think it was called opportunity knocks in the 70's or very early 80's, two of them now have passed a long time but this song brings back so many good memories I have of my father.
I remember these guys very well back in the 70's..They sang some brilliant covers of American Country Songs...This one of course was a million seller American Country Artist George Strait..
Lovely song sung by two great artists. 1st time i heard this track was by Ollie Austin and i had decided then and there that it will be the last song played as the curtain closes on my journey to the afterlife. This cover is so sweet. 🤞its a long time before its played officially 🤠
GOT INTO THESE GUYS BECAUSE OF MY MUM,,,SHE LOVED THESE TWO AND WHEN I LISTEN TO THEM THEY ALWAYS PULL ON MY HEART STRINGS AND BRING BACK SO MANY MEMORIES, ALTHOUGH CHRIS LOST HIS SINGING PARTNER AND FRIEND A FEW YEARS BACK IM SURE IT CANT BE EASY FORM HIM EITHER,ANYWAY JUST A THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES FROM IRELAND,
A few hours ago, I very faintly heard a really poignant song coming from a neighbour's house, with two men harmonising beautifully I couldn't hear all the words, but half way through I thought " I need to remember some of these lyrics and Google them! I was busy., so never did so until now, four hours later. I put in (incorrectly) "That's what a cowboy says when he rides away".....Bingo ! Straight into my playlist, terrific song, and I love this clip, thanks for posting:
