Everyone’s pointed out loid not being able to see yor being abnormally strong or being an assassin, but are we going to ignore loid’s almost impeccable guard defence

The fact you can see Yor notices that loid ducks whenever she throws a hook and then punishing that duck with an uppercut is really neat to see

Best part is the "ah" when her heel breaks. That shoe saved Loid's life.

I just love how Yor went from a killing machine to a sleeping teddy bear in a literal drop. Remember to hide your alcoholic beverages, when you see her everyone!

Loid: I am my country’s most skillful spy. I can determine the ins and outs of anyone I meet Yor: *demonstrates near superhuman strength and fighting prowess* Loid: She’s just an office worker

I like how at no point did he actually attack Yor. He stayed on defense the entire time and once her heel broke, he just worriedly asks if she's alright. Oddly wholesome.

Love how Loid is more worried about story content then what is happening in front of him, because for a spy keeping your story straight is key to survival.

"why is she using physical attacks when she's a witch?!" Loid you fool, could you not tell she was using magic to greatly enhance her physical strength?

I love how yor does everything that would give her being not a normal person away but loid just never questions it

Notice how she walked so innocently towards him like she wasn't about to completely rearrange his face with that kick. Dropping the guard of her target before striking in a very assassin-like fashion and kind of reminds me of Assassination Classroom

I don't think people get the entire joke of this show when they ask, "Why can't they recognize the other's abilities?" They spell it out in the very first episode when Anya asks Loid for a gun with a silencer and he says back to her, "we'll see if they have one." These people have next to no experience living normal lives. When they see someone doing kung fu or bashing someone's brains in with a pipe, that's their version of normal. It's why Loid and Yor are so comfortable with each other: They're both freaks.

I love how this whole episode Yor’s just in the background slamming the wine, and Anya’s just like, “Mama’s here too and stuff.” 🤣

Slice of life anime having better fight scenes than most popular shonen anime nowadays lol

0:40 she actually lifted him off the ground with that uppercut! Just as impressive is he tanked it! He’s lucky she took herself out lol

I like how Yoru adapts to Loid’s moves at 0:37 and lands the uppercut She does the same combo twice with the last hit being different

People are somehow failing to see the absolutely absurdly good defense and strength Loid showed here by simply blocking and evading all those strikes. Blocking head kicks is extremely difficult even if you're on par physically with the person throwing the kick because the attacker has the leverage, legs are a hell of a lot stronger than arms especially proportionally, and she clearly was not holding back. He avoided by far the majority of her attacks but he still blocked 9 punches and a minimum of 20 kicks. The 20th and final kick being the one to break his guard. That's stupidly impressive.

In a dark, twisted way, it’s kind of adorable that her drunken mind thought she was protecting Anya

Honestly I'm impressed Loid's arms aren't broken. Those kicks will get some ridiculous feats later in the anime.

One thing I love is that Yor's hits actually feel like hits, not practically tickling like in most shounen animes.

Does anyone else love that little walk Yor does before they scrap? I find it funny that Yor was made the final boss in this “mission” despite the fact Franky and Loid are unaware of her being an unusually strong assassin. XD

Seriously, I keep replaying this scene, for the animation. Knowing it's a romcom, it's amazing who they just nailed this fight scene.

I love how all three of the characters don’t know what normal is and can’t distinguish between the norm and the absurdity that each of them constantly brings to the table. Loid is a therapist that throws grenades at his patients, Yor can stop a bull with acupuncture, and Anya constantly spouts nonsense that Loid has such a hilarious go with the flow attitude about

Damn, Yor would be a superstar in UFC, just look at the play-by-play! 0:15 Spinning Side Kick; 0:30 Left Jab to the head; 0:31 Right Cross to the head followed by a Roundhouse Kick and Spinning Hook Kick using the Roundhouse's momentum; 0:32 Right Kick to the side of the head; 0:34 Flurry of Back Upkicks *from the ground* (Capoeira knowledge?); 0:37 Right Cross(?); 0:38 Left Jab, followed by a Cross; 0:39 Opposing Uppercuts (Both dodged); 0:40 Double Left Jab and Left Hook to the head (Blocked by Loid); 0:41 Right Uppercut *To the body* (Excellent Fight IQ on display here - Saw that the head shots were being blocked, and switches to body shots); 0:41 Left Kick to the head; 0:42 Right Kick to the head; 0:43 Left Kick again; 0:44 Right Legged Axe Kick(?); 0:45 Right Kick to the head (Possible Roundhouse?) 0:46 And the last impact is an Upward Straight Kick *Under his Guard* to expose himself. 0:48 And was instants away from finishing Loid with a lethal Spinning Side Kick to the face, but our Spy Dad gets saved by a broken heel.

Thank god Yor stood on the sidelines until she was called by Franky, because if she had been on Loid's side saving Anya, then the organization would have fewer agents than they usually do.

0:15 - 0:17 - I've heard a lot of sound effects used to illustrate the ferocity, speed and power of an attack, but that's absolutely insanely terrifying. It's a good thing Loid's got fantastic reflexes.

Everyone mentions how Loid doesn't find it weird she's so strong But I find to funnier how he just fully knows he stands no chance

The fact loid was more concerned about how a witch can be physical rather than questioning how yor can fight like that

I love that Loid is stuck between a rock and a hard place and can’t really ask about Yor’s physical abilities because he’s done some questionable stuff in front of her as well so they both have to play it off as pure luck lol

Yor became the successor of the Drunken Fist for a quick minute

Shouts-out to the poorly made stilettos for saving Loids life. Operation Strix would've been a doozy

Amazing attention to detail, they didn't just make the fight random flashy attacks like most animators do, they made openings and set ups, for example when yor was throwing hooks and loid kept bending forward to dodge them, she started going for uppercuts, then every time she broke his guard with small attacks she'd throw a big one to capitalize. You gotta love when an animators goes above the status quo just to flex their creative talents.

How tf does this show have better fight choreography than like 95% of Hollywood.

Can we appreciate the fact that even drunken Yor only thinks in protect Anya? Drunken and all, but her maternal instincts are crazy!

Loid is too self assured to imagine that yor could possibly have a side to her that he didn't dig up in his background check, and so any evidence that contradicts the assumptions he already made simply is discarded in his mind.

- Starting off with a Launching kick, to get Loid off-guard. - Followed by her first Combo with a Jab, Hook, Rear Hook while putting some spinning/-light kicks into her arsenal. - After catching up that Loid is blocking them she goes for the same combo but ending it with a uppercut instead of a rear hook. - After that she goes for some head kicks both left & right, in other to break Loids defense she throws a Punt kick. - Before she breaks her heels she does a great Attempt doing a spinning Kick. *Notes:* When she did the thing where she was on the ground spamming kicks, I don't think it's possible to do that many kicks while having so much strength in your Arms to keep you on a 60°~70° Angle. My most favorite Part is Yor adding Kicks into her Arsenal. As a Lady she will always have a weight gap against Men, In other to compensate her lack of KO-Power in her Arms she uses her Legs, that's awesome. Easily my #1 Anime fight Scene choreography-wise.

Loid taking her full-force punch to the sternum and not being bothered is the most impressive thing about this, honestly.

R.I.P. Loid gloves & Yor heel They were sacrificed to save Loid from being killed by a drunk assassin

Loid is surprisingly durable. Remember that Yor has shown herself as strong enough to send grown men flying with her kicks, she's currently too drunk to hold back, and Loid still managed to tank her hits enough to keeping standing despite all that.

Little detail but I like how at 0:41 you can see Loid's gloves disintegrating from the sheer force of Yor's kicks.

Yor’s walk cycle at the beginning is SO good. So much character in it

Let’s be honest here Franky could EASILY solo both Loid & Yor as well as all the other agents in the mansion if he really wanted to

For everyone questioning why Loid doesn't find Yor's physical prowess suspicious, he's literally such a perfectionist constantly pushing past normal human limitations that he's skewed his own perspective of normalcy, which he doesn't seem to realize.

Loid is truly this woman's perfect match. He can resist her punches even for a little bit when no one else can.

That little "Ah...!" right before she passes out gets me every time.

Surprisingly good fight animations for such a short scene. I like how the writers realize Loid can’t match Yors fighting skill so basically Yor has to defeat herself by passing out.

Once I (a white guy) was dating a black/Asian female who acted just like this, she would become super dangerous when we drank that's why I didn't really drink with her, she would fight, but if she tripped over or got a "booboo" as she called it she would cry in my arms and ask to cuddle in bed and then fall asleep super quickly

I reaaallly hope we get more scenes like this with Yor showing off her skills and Assassin side. It's sooo cool when it happens. Plus it'd just be nice to see it to empathize deeper with. Still love that they use whatever chance they can to give peeks to it though.

Nothing unusual here: just a drunk government employee nearly kickboxing her psychiatrist husband to death after he rented out an actual castle and a small army to play pretend with his 6-year old daughter.

In a fight of Loid vs Yor, I think it depends on the circumstances. In a direct hand to hand combat- Yor would win. In a citywide hunt- Loid would win. Also Loid has an equal chance of winning hand to hand combat if he knows his oponents strengths and weaknesses or if he had some weapons/ gadgets. Yor is superior strength wise but Loid is a strategist and superior brain wise. So I think it depends.... both are very strong. I love this anime ❤
