I do love how they were teating Clarka resolve: his strength with a space station, his intelligence with the first bomb, the 3rd was his willingness to sacrifice, and 4th was sacrifice at the risk of his own life
Ahh, the good old Superman days when anyone finding out who he really was was a big deal. I remember this one. So intense, even if it was a bit cheesy back then. I was a kid, so I thought nothing of it. Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher were always great together. Miss this show.
It does seem to be that way. Ching was unkind and snarky while testing Clark, but he felt that he had to be. Ching is not actually an evil person, and he did those tests to determine if Clark was the type of man who could bring peace among the other Kryptonians.
It seems in all modern superman retellings, also.I stopped reading the comic a long time ago, but it seems to me that some time between 1967 and now, the Kryptonians began to be written as mostly hostile to murderous. I suppose its just modern sensibilities? I don't remember it being so in the older comics. Think about living on distant planet, sent there by your father. You never met anyone else from earth, but every time a fellow earthling turns up, they attack. you might be grateful that there aren't too many fellow Earth humans left in the universe.
Yes, but both of them never think to ask if Clark would even be interested in Kryptonian politics. They just take it for granted that he would care about what is basically a civilization regressing into primitive court intrigue. The implications of king-hood, aristocracy and royal families implies that the society is ultimately doomed, anyway.
@@kathleenhensley5951 They wanted to feel confident that he was actually up to the task. Not that he'd be willing to do it. For all they know they could be asking a would be tyrant or someone who is all power and no heart. They did explain the situation and gave him a choice but they had to be confident that he was the person they needed. Ching though did show himself to be kinder guy but the situation was pretty life or death.
Not so much because he's a character, but because he's a major newspaper publisher who has been through a lot over the past few seasons. Not as much as Lois obviously, but still.
This is where if Superman had the suit of the Greatest American Hero would have come in handy!!!! No. 1 - Make himself invisible. 2. Duplicate himself three times. One stays with Lois, one goes to bomb and the other goes to save Jimmy and Perry!!! Superman won't run or fly instead he will "Teleport" himself in less than one second to both locations. Then while still invisible beat the tar out of the villain!!!!. The villain would not even know what was taking place as he is getting beaten to the ground!!! Lol!!!!🤣🤣🤣
Somehow I missed this show on its first run, but in my defense I was in my teens and obsessed with video games, so. . .lol. Not that I wasn’t aware of it or hadn’t even seen some of it, I just wasn’t an avid viewer. Now, I’ve watched some on Max but I gotta say, it’s rather difficult. At least up through the second season where I’ve currently left off. It just puts out a “cheesey” vibe. Like when I try watching the Original Series of ‘Star Trek’. And I’m a HUGE fan of “Trek” in general, from the original movies and through all the spinoffs (excluding Discovery and Strange New Worlds). Long story short, I’m commenting simply on Lois’ clothing. Or, more specifically, on how well they fit, lol. Her jackets for at least the first couple of seasons hung on her like they were 3 sizes too big. Was that just the style of the times? I honestly don’t remember. The eighties had big shoulder pads but how far did they carry into the nineties? Anyway, I think Lois looks great here and kudos on Clark’s hairdo. Very (chef’s kiss)💋
@@micahfranklin4560 I don't remember all of the details, but they're part of a colony of surviving Kryptonians and Superman ends up reluctantly leaving Earth and marrying the Kryptonian woman in this clip. Then, some Kryptonian bad guys take over Smallville and Supes somehow sneaks in under his Clark Kent persona.
I think you completely missed the point of that film SpideyRules-pq6be. Superman could not find a way with Zod because by that point Zod was too far gone.
