Clark: It's the new glasses, isn't it? They just don't work as well as the old ones did. Uno de mis Clips favoritos (Lois & Clark 3x01) One of my favourites clips (Lois & Clark 3x01)
Best quote ever in the history of this show is in Season 2, when they go back in time and Clark says, "Lois, Superman is what I can do; Clark is who I am." Whether it's a TV show, the movies, or the animated series, this perspective always produces the best Superman stories.
Absolutely. That was one of the things that turned me off of the New 52 reboot of Superman, when at one point early on it looked like his identity was going to be exposed, he was totally willing and came close to completely abandoning the "Clark Kent" persona as if it were one of his battle-damaged capes. Like, bro, I don't care what you heard in some Quentin Tarantino movie, you were raised as Clark Kent for YEARS before you ever found out about your alien parentage, it isn't believable to me that you wouldn't see yourself as human before kryptonian.
It's a line that was basically ripped out of the comics, which is no bad thing of course. The premise of the show was based around the Man Of Steel era of the comics (with some of the more traditional aspects thrown in). That era gave birth to corporate Lex did a lot to position Clark as more than just a facade but a real aspect of the character of Superman.
This version of Superman is my favorite. I love how they made Superman so “human” with all feelings of an ordinary man; love, lost, angry etc...What I love most about this series is how they presented the importance of family; Clark’s, Lois’ , and their own when they got married. I think Superman in this version is the strongest and the luckiest Superman of all versions because he has all the loves, friendship and supports from everyone around him.
@@antoniusfalcon3984 The new show focus on his family, which is much the same, just with better budget. Lois and Clark was a cheesy show at best, and both Cain and Hatcher were pretty forgettable in the parts, since none of them really has any acting chops to speak of. Also, they focused more on the relationship and how it built in Lois and Clark for budget reasons, since they had a very small budget to go from. But no budget in the world could save this show from the cheesiness that it produced. A true product of the 90s.
@@LosBlancoo totally his opinion, so forgettable that till today it's almost everyone's favorite Lois Lane, and no one that watched got over their chemistry, and this version of Clark Kent, thousand of fans till today, and they did have a great budget lol but it was 90's.
@@michaelvedal1907I don’t think it’s cheesy it’s just older if you want a cheesy show go watch the 1966 Batman show now that is cheesy, Lois and Clark is great I wish they had more then 4 seasons and you could get to see them being parents I would love that, this show gets ten stars❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
TERI is the one and only lois, the fact that she can be SO damn strong and determined and stubborn and independent and seem so so vulnerable and at the same time blows my mind, same for dean, i feel that his clark is naive an spicy, a combination that just him can deliver.
Why I like this show character wise is that it was adults having a relationship. No stupid melodramatic teenager behavior from adults like in most TV superhero shows today.
Amen. I tried to get into Superman and Lois, but it's vibe is too angsty emo teenager to me. I watched this show from ten into my early teens and it was great to me.
Didn't she keep seeing someone else? I saw this many years ago so just asking But these 2 really have some realistic dialogue,it actually seems like we're watching actual couple bickering
@@user-bl1zt9xg7f She was dating Lex early on and even got engaged. But as far as since he shared his feelings for her there was the DEA agent Scardino she kept getting close to because Clark was slacking, always having to run off to save people.
What’s with the overuse of the word “toxic”? Can’t we just say they’re a lovely couple or a cute couple or a great couple? Instead, we get “Wow, they’re the most not-awful couple, yay!” 🤦♂️
After she had this school girl crush on Superman for so long she had a completely different opinion of who and what Superman is after she figured out Clark was Superman
Smallville was dark and serious. This was categorized as a romantic comedy. I don't think any other pair, past present or future, can ever top the chemistry Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher had together. @ TheHeresyContinues Love the quote.
Smallville wasn't 100% dark and serious. It was 35% dark and serious and 75% a load of bullshit that made Clark the greatest whiny crying baby instead of the greatest superhero
Margot Kidder was a brilliant Lois Lane. People often bash her for not being attractive enough - a weirdo generation who think every woman must look like a porn star. Kidder was attractive in a normal everyday way, which actually made their relationship more romantic and less overtly sexual. I prefer when relationships have real substance to them. Superman especially is far beyond shallowness and just wanting to go out with models.
Agree. The Reeve-Kidder and Cavill-Adams pairs had good chemistry as well, but this one really was the best, despite of the show being a typical '90s adventurecomedy.
I love how he has time to stand in front of Lois and pose, probably just to get gratification for getting changed whilst spinning round in the same spot really fast.
The sexual chemistry these two had made the show. i mean girls loved Dean (Cain) while guys loved Teri (Hatcher). Whether they were fighting as Lois and Clark (when Lois had no idea he was both Superman and Clark Kent), or as Lois and Superman when she'd look at him as if he was the man of her dreams and he looked at her as the most beautiful woman in the world.
Watching Smallville and watching Lois and Clark are like watching the two seasons of the animated series: 'Legion of Super Heroes.' Clark gradually learning his powers and how to control them while growing into the role of the Greatest superhero and Yardstick for all heroes is completely different from knowing his powers and learning to integrate from being a world traveler to being a big city reporter. They are both great shows, just different versions of the same story.
I never understood why she was so angry; she just won the heart of her dream man - she should feel like a million dollars. But now I do. She fell in love with Superman almost instantly. Clark was a slow burner, but she did start to catch feelings for him. And to discover that one and the other are one and the same, I can imagine that could knock anyone for six....
***** I think I can do it. :3 Just not as fast as him! I was answering the first question by Joe though: "I could never help but wonder where his clothes went." :) The spinning thing is another issue! Maybe, like the Flash, time feels slower at Superspeed so maybe he's doing it slowly relative to him and he spins to minimizes the space he uses when changing?
The pinpoint accuracy of evaporating the the water without frying Lois or her clothes is equaled by the ability to somehow dissipate the steam so it doesn't scald her face or body as it drifts upward.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME SHE FOUND OUT! THE FIRST TIME WAS WHEN TEMPUS TOLD HER, BUT WELLS ERASED HER MEMORY! GLAD SHE HAD A CHANCE TO FIND OUT ON HER OWN!
when the distress call happened and then the cat sound effect popped in. it made me visualize the man calling for help because the cat was attacking him.
A man as superhero!!! F*CKING DELICIOUS! lol! I always have loved this tv show... I was really sad when it stopped! Always watching with my dad and all xD
Now THIS, is how you portray a hero and their love interest during the reveal. No jealousy, no entitlement, no sense of false moral superiority. Just pure human feelings...on both their ends. TAKE A CUE FROM THIS, AMBER!!!
hi hanakt, i just wonder why are the videos have no audio if there's audio no video upon download and transferred to usb to watch over at house thru dvd player? do you have some dvd's with you?im interested.
..seasons 3 and 4. I've heard stories they had an affair during 1996 and into 1997 and also I've heard things like Dean could be Teri's daughter Emerson's father. How true all this is, I don't know but she was born November 1997. I've read before they were at a cast party and started kissing, cuddling, her sat on his knee, unbuttoning her blouse!. Teri didn't get divorced from Jon until 2003. In my opinion as I'm sure most other fans, Dean and Teri would be perfect together!. :)
Laura Marchant If you followed their story from the beginning analyzing everything every detail, reading producers itws, hearing from people inside the set. watching some of Teri’s Itws talking about her miserable wedding and reading her book you’ll understand what was really happening Jon was barely there when she was conceived she was filming a movie ib another place and he barely came back home. Everything leads to the fact that Dean’s her father . There are so many many things (like the ring he bought for her and he was about to propose, nothing went as planned unfortunately. It’s too long to explain all of this here ) people don’t know of recuse to believe when it was so obvious. Why you think Dean gives too much love and attention to his son? To not feel guilty and replace the love he couldn’t give up Em back then. You know when she was a little girl Dean used to spend some time with her.. Now it’s hard to tell they always have been good at keeping secrets besides they aren’t Hollywood stars paparazzi don’t stalk these kind of celebrities if they are seeing ech other off cam no one would know 😉 By the way it’s very inappropriate to talk about the blouse and sitting on his lap thing. You shouldn’t have.
@STORMPHOENIXS Do you have a FYE store or any other DVD stores near you, cause if you want you could buy the complete 4 seasons of Lois and Clark the new adventures of Superman.
Which was more of a turn on to Lois? The hand that touched her cheek with care and concern, or watching Clark transform into Superman before her very eyes??? I think the second one.
@muchohumpty Yes, I see what you're saying. But even though it's great to see a beloved character at the point where they've already reached their fullest potential, sometimes it's great to see the backstory, too. That's all I'm saying. I'm aware that Superman is an icon known across the world. But he's also a character. And I think his fans enjoy watching him at ALL stages of life, not just his most well-known phase. Just like a really big Chanel fan might enjoy "Coco Before Chanel".
Fu****g awesomectacular men's black leather jacket! It's something a true Vulture Lord fan like me would wear! Yea! Clark is a Vulture Lord fan! Black leather. Cool, huh? After watching some Superman clips, I NOW know what Superman's powers r. They r: 1. Blowing wind power 2. Laser eye beams that slice thru anything 3. Drying or heating power 4. Flight 5. Strength 6. Bullets bounce off him
I think that's part of why she's mad, actually. She's frustrated and excited, and happy and scared and a thousand other things, all at once, and she already knows that sooner or later she'll say 'yes', because really, could you imagine her deciding it wasn't worth it and then maybe seeing him with some other girl? I think that would drive her nuts and she knows that, too. Lois likes to be in control, and with Clark she's _not_.
@muchohumpty I disagree. Both shows are good for Superman fans in different ways. L&C starts out with the Superman we're familiar with, yes. But Smallville shows you how he got there. That's cool too. I know Smallville made some unorthodox decisions like having Clark meet Lois so early on, and having her know his secret before he's even Superman, but I think it works. Both shows are good in different ways.
@muchohumpty That's silly. Smallville is about Clark Kent, the person who becomes Superman, earlier on in his life, before he becomes Superman. So the fact that he isn't using the name "Superman" yet and is calling himself The Blur instead doesn't change the fact that he IS Superman. It's the same person, no matter what you call him. It's just a different part of his story.
Teri Hatcher was married during the 1st season of the series but seperated & divorced in the 2nd season. I wonder what brought that on? Dean Cain, perhaps? Even if it was true, neither of them would ever admit it, because it would hurt their public images. It was rumored that Dean & Teri were dating after her 1st divorce but not confirmed.
They have dispelled that rumor multiple times. The reason why they had such great on-screen chemistry is because they wanted nothing to do with each other after work.
which is still beside the point. he had every reason take precautions. if she felt like he was lying to him, thats too damn bad...she should get the hell over it. its not like he killed anyone with his powers...after all like u said,he IS superman.
@Nacha255 Listen Im not saying Smallville is not a great show because it is. I love the show & watched every episode. Its a great coming of age story of how he become superman. All im saying is the big superman fan probably would rather see him when hes actually superman fully matured & grown leading his life like the comic potray
