My favorite comic series of all time. Lucifer is amazing. I love the issues where he goes to the Japanese pantheon of gods, without his powers, and still absolutely BTFOs them.
@@user-kg3ug8xu1x They deserved it for being backstabbing assholes...you know, like basically every other pantheon in history. If anything Lucifer should have came back with his powers and vaporized all of them.
Odin while on the Wild Hunt entered Hell hunting the quarry. Lucifer wasn't too pleased and Odin was visibly scared. Lucifer chose not to kill Odin and the hunt only if Odin invited Lucifer to the next hunt. So yeah, Odin knows his place
Well done mate! As I have said before quite a few months ago or probably over a year ago now lol I don't have the opportunity to buy comic books the way that I used to in my youth and watching your videos is a breath of fresh air and takes me back to those days and also in these modern days keeps me updated with regards to comics and the like. I have never seen this comic book before so you sharing it is brand new to me. Interesting to see the interaction between Satan as the Fallen Angel and Loki as the god of mischief attached to Asgard? I didn't know that this connection even took place in the comic book world/Realm? Correct me if I'm wrong but is this Satan in your video series eventually amalgamate into the Marvel character Mephisto? Just curious that's all.. and also if God could hear screams from Loki and he is all seeing and all powerful I'm pretty sure he could tell the difference lol but at the end of the day mate fantastic video and it seems like a fantastic comic book I would love to own the series to read the whole thing for myself. I'm not sure if you are planning on doing a full series but bloody oath mate you are a fantastic job so thank you all the way from the south of Australia. God bless
There is an error in the description. This is from lucifer (2000) Issue #34, #35 is actually when he look out for the brother. Discover by looking for the origilan issue out of curiosity form your video btw, thx, keep the good work going.
Does anyone know why Oliver Coipel doesn't draw for the new Thor series? He has only done the covers and I don't understand why they would waste his talent like that. And in all honesty it is a bit misleading when you think you're gonna get something amazing you just see "eh"
You’re not far off. If you notice at 0:51 Lucifer called him “Loki of the Jotun” and Jotun, or rather Jötunn (Jǫtunn) are pretty much Norse gluttony/greed “demons” (for lack of a better English word). Btw Jotun doesn’t actually translate to giant, that is just a misconception. To be honest, there is a lost of nuance to it, but y’all can look them up for yourselves.
@o o f Yeah Marvel sucks right now tbh Lmao only a few good book's that I pay attention to, DC is also garbage right now and as a matter of fact ATAT is thinking about shutting them down hope this doesn't happen but that's how bad the comic book industry is right now.
Ok Lucifer is more powerful then Loki but still need to go ask him for help? Can someone explain what's happening here. I'm confused on everything goin on
Even if a character is more powerful than another it doesn't mean that the weaker of the two does not possess an item or power that the stronger does not. In this case Loki had a ship made of nails I think which was capable of traveling in ways that other ships can't.
Lucifer's weakened at this point because God left creation. He came to ask for Loki's help looking for his ship so he could get to Yggdrasil. In this run Lucifer destroyed the Mansions of Silence which contain an Infinite number of failed universes by just being there so technically he was still ridiculously powerful, his presence literally destroyed a multiverse
@@happylife4471 it's been a very long time since I've read it but at this point iirc didn't God leave his creation and the two Titans gained his omnipotence? Lucifer had to go back in time and kill them before they gained it? iirc Lucifer and Michael's powers were diminishing as soon as God left. It's been ages since I've read the volume but I'm sure that's what happened
In Marvel, TOAA. He has no weakness. TOAA is the writer. Close seconds include pre-retcon Beyonder, Beyonders, pre-retcon Molecule Man, God Emperor Doom, TOBA.
This snake was unnamed, and placed above Loki to drip venom onto him Chinese water torture-style after Loki had indirectly killed one of Odin's sons, Baldur, who was basically Viking Jesus. And it's funny, cuz Loki is almost Viking Lucifer.
@@UnoQualunque. We don't really know Loki's true power, as it's never shown (unless we're talking DC Loki, who I think is in the same universe as Lucifer, and took on Fire, Ice, Guy Gardner, and Metamorpho at the same time and toyed with them-- though if that's the case, he's still child's play to Lucifer.), and it's not power where Loki really shines; it's his brain and language.
If you're implying Loki is a Marvel-made creation alone, you're mistaken... like a lot of people. Loki is an actual Norse god, and has been adapted in a lot of works other than Marvel, like Lucifer. So no, this is not Marvel.
This comic is an insult to all Mythology. No Angel can defeat a God, so when Lucifer defeats the Japanese Pantheon, it is not only insulting but demeaning and is just some uninformed writer who does not know Mythology, writing over-glorified fanfic. -3 stars
To be fair, a devil can. Ask the hindus, the devils (asuras) can defeat certain gods (devas). And you know, Lucifer is a seraph in christian mythology, an angel-class with the power of a lesser or minor god
@@kamishin7135 The way the Judo-Christians try to rank their angels and their powers is derivative at best. There is no Angel in the mythology that has ever shown power that was not a direct rip off of some forgotten God, like Ba'al or Ahura Mazda. The whole Bible is plagiarized version of every holy text written before it. Angels are the creation of a God, if Angels could defeat God level being then they could defeat their creator. So based on that logic. What is stop humanity from defeating Gods then? Answer, we can't For all of our technology we could never defeat a God, neither could Angels. The very thought of angel defeating a God is insulting, I fumed when I saw them do it on Supernatural and I fumed when I saw this book.
@@ParagonRex from religous standpoint yes. You can't really defeat gods, only if they weaken themself by having a human form, like Ares, or if you are a being equal to gods, like the asuras, the jotun, or typhon. Angels are clearly weaker than gods, because gods are less beings, more like abstracts. But isn't the devil or other devils not abstracts too?
@@kamishin7135 You could look at demons (devils) as abstracts as well. For sake of this scaling topic we have to look at them more along the line of tangibles, like angels or Gods or Titans. From all my studies I have found the primordial beings like Chaos and Order deities, as expressed by the like of Ymir and Uranus rank at the top of the scale, then they are followed by the likes of the Titans and the Hrimthurs or Frost Gods and the Jinn or the Efreets. Then you get to Gods and Demons. So angels rank down the list so far that any informed writer would never dare to try to put an angel and a God in direct conflict. It is actually pretty easy to make a ranking like this because if your someone like ourselves who seems pretty knowledgeable in mythology then all you need do is extrapolate known feats as written in mythological texts and make your determination based on that.
