He said himself on s1 that he crossed the threshold, so he actually didn't know what would happen, he had an idea of what could happen, so he planned accordingly. Know this kang and hwr, he outsmarted all of his variants and foresaw up until the moment Loki and Sylvie confronted him, also people say loki had centuries to figure out the loom stuff, think about how much longer hwr had, so he definitely had contingency upon contingency. I was thinking the waste of time was to the point of the loom destroying all the other timelines which is why Loki didn’t destroy timelines, just brought them under his watch
He who remains has been alive for MILLIONS of years. If all this was just to prepare Loki to take over his job, forcing him to spend a century wasting his time was probably good training.
HWR wasn't trying to get Loki to fix the loom, he was trying to get Loki to accept the role as overseer and protector of the loom. Even Loki taking over the multiverse doesn't necessarily guarantee its safety, it just turns it into a different game where one day someone may be able to find their way to Loki and cause a different catastrophic multiverse event that leads to the destruction of the entire universe. It is now Loki's job to manipulate all of time to ensure that doesn't happen, which is a tedious job. The bonus for him though it because he's doing it all with his own magic, he can basically do anything he wants, anywhere, at any time. He can just manifest himself at any point and do what needs to be done to prevent it. The problem for Loki though is that if any of those branches eventually lead to someone finding Loki, it will happen before he can stop it, because the effect will be virtually instantaneous from his perspective because he's outside of time itself. So regardless of how well Loki does, one day someone will come knocking on his doorstep, even if they aren't evil, some will eventually find out all about him and how he controls the existence of everything for all of time. Ironically his new ability makes him only second to the infinity entity, but at the same time almost greater than the infinity entity because the infinity entity exists in every multiverse and is shaped by that multiverse itself, which technically gives Loki control over even the infinity entity. But HWR only needs Loki at all because he's tired, although he probably didn't expect that Loki could break the loom and use his powers to save everything. That much is clear because he only knew everything up until a certain point, and so he never knew that Loki would do what he ultimately did after destroying the loom. HWR was basically as old as the universe itself at this point, he'd seen it all, done it all, and more than once. He knew he couldn't just give up though, because that would mean the destruction of all of existence across the multiverse, including erasing everything that he ever experienced too, so passing on the torch was the only solution. That was basically the biggest problem for HWR...he wanted to rest, but knew he could not rest, that without a replacement, everything he did will not only have been undone, but would have never happened at all, completely erased from existence.
3:30 the folding his coat over himself seems subtle but it's actually amazing body language acting. It's him realising (after Loki pauses time without his help) that he's now talking with an equal, who is making hard decisions about reality. He covers up, because it shows he's now on guard. He has to start thinking about his actions, because he's dealing with an actual threat.
But the court of public opinion is on his side, if Disney wait for Majors for a while or after he finishes his program, him playing Kang is still possible. WE NEED TO HOPE AGAIN
He didn’t. He told loki that he had the option to start a war by unleashing the multiverse, or rule over the sacred timeline with him. In the end loki created a new option and he changed the equation by taking the place of the loom

I do wonder if he who remains knew the plan all along knowing Loki would replace the loom and even when he tells Loki “he can’t stop them all” and Loki responds “it never stopped me before” Kang response saying “I know champ” like he already knows besides the war of his variants happening again but he also knows the outcome similar to Doctor Strange in Infinity War knowing all the possibilities but the difference is Kang wants it his way or nun but he has seen the possible outcomes of the war and knows Loki is a crucial part of every outcome but doesn’t want the war regardless because of the deaths to come from it and possibly the war would cause the secret war event where Kang doesn’t see the outcome because it’s a completely different reality than the sacred timeline, that’s just a theory tho

@@theilluminatibenefactor I think by letting him live in his own timeline enable others like SC and Rama to be active as well. Also, in the end Immortus is the one who leads the Kang Dynasty hence he needs to go whether he was good or not. Not to mention not only Immortous was Kang conquerer once but also he is very powerful who has powers from the real time keepers.
Marvel universe goes through potential world-ending events every Monday. There are infinite kangs, but also infinite timelines, and infinite heroes. Council of Kang isn't as big of a threat as HWH thinks he is. It HWR who did more damage with his loom and Alioth. HWR thinks that he is keeping peace, but he can't keep the peace. If he tries to be a vigilante and deal with all the villains, it will branch the timeline. All he can do is to watch one timeline suffer instead of many. Keeping the balance of the miltiverse isn't HWR's duty. It is the duty of the Living Tribunal (currently dead in 616, but not in MCU), and ultimately the One Above All.
I like to think that the patch that marvel is going to put on all the mess around kang is that all the related time war against all the kangs was the timeline of Loki never solving anything but since he overcame all odds and became the Yggdrasil of reality he erased kang from ever existing changing the future we knew and leading us into a future where to fix all the kang mess he is going to mix reality to make a new seed and recreate the next timeline with everything that was thrown away
So HWR wants a dead loop? where slyvie kills hwr, hwr kills Loki, Loki kills Slyvie. Hence the 3 timekeepers. So Slyvie will be the 3rd hold all the timelines. When it's complete all 3 possibilities co exist, where all 3 are stuck and yet they are not stuck.
It's simpler than that actually. The sacred timeline was a test to see if he can successfully control the multiverse. Infinity War: •1 timeline out of infinity (sacred timeline) is the only one he can predict, he needs the outcome that favors that one timeline •Tested with Dr.strange Endgame: •Once the timelines are released a multiversal war will happen, he needs to keep it in control •Tested with the avengers Loki: •He needs a very specific outcome from that war, and needs a variable he can predict. •Tested with Tony Stark's sacrifice •Tested by ensuring that in a miniature multiverse Loki becomes the loom.

@@mhdmember He doesn't know everything. He knew everything up to Loki's time slipping. He never knew anything past that fact, hence why he is shocked when Loki reveals he has also learned how to manipulate time.
I honestly believe Loki fell for a false dichotomy here. He Who Remains painted a picture of winning or losing against him by his own metric. Either there is one timeline, or a multiversal war. And for both those options, he paints Loki as the loser. However, this pushes Loki to win against him on HIS terms. Loki will break HIS loom. Change HIS equation. And really what He Who Remains says it all - "thinking you were sticking it to the system, gonna beat the man, and then whoop!" It ultimately leads to the idea that any idea of "beating" or "outsmarting" Kang/He Who Remains isn't really from nowhere. I strongly believe Kang is manipulating Loki to create this outcome of a branching multiverse - and creating the perfect set of circumstances (an altruistic God) to be the center of that.
Couldn’t watch this episode without thinking that as they’re having this conversation trillions of lives & timelines are being deleted in the background by the loom😵💫
Really sucks people get canceled personally I don’t believe the story the girl told it just don’t add up to me watching all evidence out there. Majors is such a great kang and we needed more of this story !
