Tom Hiddleston’s acting was absolutely superb here. Him alone p/reviewing his life was just...wow.

That "sure, buddy" attitude of the TVA and Owen Wilson is such a great foil to Loki

Head Writer of the show (Michael Waldron) is also the writer of Multiverse of Madness, so there might be some synergy there!

I've spent so much time watching Loki's arc, thinking I'd already felt all the feels. Watching Loki watch his own arc BROKE me.

Loki watching Thor 2, Thor 3 and Infinity War made me cry just as much as ME watching Thor 2, Thor 3 and Infinity War.

My hypothesis: Loki saw that the TVA is "always watching" (the propaganda posters through the episode) so he used that to his advantage in the final exchange with Mobius (he was playing to the "audience"). He also realizes that the most powerful position that he could have (more powerful than the infinity stones) was to control the TVA. The "variant" that they are after is a future version on him. He doesn't want to burn down the TVA he wants to rule it and possibly create the multiverse.

Loki is Chaotic Neutral. His heart leads to Chaotic Good, but his mind is trapped in Neutral Evil.

The Time-Keepers were created by "He Who Remains", the very last director of the Time Variance Authority from the last reality, just prior to the heat death of the universe. The first attempt resulted in the creation of the Time-Twisters, who were flawed and destroyed numerous realities. Due to the intervention of Thor, this reality was split into two: one where the Twisters lived and one where they were destroyed. In the reality in which they were destroyed, He Who Remains created the Time-Keepers to protect time. There were three main Time-Keepers but a fourth was reportedly created and exiled to Egypt in 2950 BC. At some point they recruited Immortus to monitor all time between 3000 BC and 4000 AD. Their first appearance is Thor #282 in 1979. I've been collecting comics a little over 50 years now,yeah I'm a BIG Nerd.

My favorite part of ep1, The reveal that the Infinity Stones mean nothing to the TVA:)

Two cool details from the infinity stone scene 1. Could be hard to see, but there were no soul (orange) stones in the desk (they could be the ones that look red but it’s hard to see), it shows how many people didn’t go through with the method of getting it. 2. The scene is seen comedically for the fact that the stones are used a paperweights, but it’s more significant and depressing for Loki. Loki has been fighting to be the most powerful being in the universe. But even if he succeeded or even he all the infinity stones, he still wouldn’t even come close to what the TVA is capable of. This breaks Loki and extremely humbled him to realize how little he has done.

They mentioned Nightmare AND showed Mephisto? Marvel knows how to play us like a fiddle.

The infinity stones in the drawer was a fantastic way to get across how real this just got. They were the driving force of the MCU for the last decade... and they're being used as paper weights. As Blonsky once said, this is a whole new level of weird. Also a nice touch that most of the stones in that box are time and reality, which makes sense.

In addition to what other people have said about Bad Batch and movies in general, Black Widow is going to release on Friday July 9th, and they probably don't want Loki conflicting with that.

Have to admit, at first I was starting to get a wee bit annoyed at how the writers had the TVA treating Loki. We'd just spent over ten years watching Loki be built up from a standard, moustache-twirling villain to a _very_ complex character who was extremely dangerous precisely because of how clever he was. And then all of a sudden, he's being chumped constantly. I was starting to wonder if they'd did our boy very dirty in this, in their attempt to show us how powerful the TVA is supposed to be. But I loved the whole escape sequence. Not because it reassured me that Loki the character was still as clever as ever. It was because as everyone is looking for him, the rest of the TVA is still acting the same arrogant way they had throughout the episode. Except for Moebius. The moment he realised that Loki had not just escaped, but was on the loose, Moebius was scared. Not only does this let us know that Loki is still as clever and as dangerous as ever, it also was a nice subtle way to show us that Moebius was completely truthful when he said that he knows what Loki is capable of. That kind of writing is just...*chef kiss*. I have almost no concerns left about this season.

I might be wrong, but the way I understood it the multiverse still exist. The timekeepers joined the timelines of the multiverses into one so that there are still different realities, they all just share the same timeline.

I feel like they are doing a time travel version of How to Get Away With Murder. But instead of flash forwards showing what's gonna happen in the finale, we're seeing how this new Loki is gonna slowly turn into the older variant, who is out there killing people. And the show is gonna end with Loki splitting the multiverse, leading into the rest of Phase 4 and a multiverse war.

One of the time keepers is Kang the conqueror. He’ll appear in Ant-Man and the wasp Quantumania.

As soon as he was scrolling though what was his future and his brother coming to terms with him made me broke 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Oh lady loki is def the main “villain” in the show. At least the TVA is saying she’s a villain, but I don’t trust the TVA I think they arnt what they say they are and that other loki figured it out and now the TVA wants to kill or reset her

The cinematography is giving me major Doctor Who/time agency vibes. The 70s feel, the round things all over the place, at one point someone calls the tesseract a 'magic blue box'. Tom's accent added and you can close your eyes at a few points and think you were listening to a Big Finish audio drama.

Can you imagine learning that your purpose is to be the stone that people step on to become who they are...

I love that they brought Hiddleston and Wilson together after they appeared together in a time travel movie years ago.

So they said Loki is L113 meaning the 113th variant I assume. Does that mean he has broken the sacred timeline 113 times, In 113 different ways? How many got away? And one of them has gotten powerful enough to cause havoc in the TVA? Has this all happened before, is it on a loop? This time crap is breaking my brain!

I think the minutemen don't realize that when they reset a timeline they effectively kill the people of that time by destroying it. I could be wrong tho, but I fine it interesting that they never show what the reset device does when they took Loki. Maybe really bad Loki is seeking revenge for their timeline being destroyed.

Rana from the Normies pointed out something I didn't even think of. When the French kid points to the devil mosaic as the person who killed those guys, everyone's joking that it's Mephisto. But notice the mosaic has horns just like OG Loki's headpiece. Maybe *that* is why the kid pointed to it.

I think the gap between when he watches his death and when Owen Wilson comes back in the room was years. It was said repeatedly that time runs differently there (especially since he had the collar off). I think that was all the time Loki needed to plot a way to pull one over on them. Episode 6 we get a flashback to that moment.

The explanation for the Infinity Stones I read is because magic doesn't work in the TVA as we know but infinity stones only work in their native timelines/universes and some of those timelines have been erased which is reason for the numerous stones.

The last scene touches on something that AFAIK the comics completely ignore, that Loki, at least the Germanic version, isn't just the God of mischief but of fire. Also who else would like to see Loki run into some other trickster god? Hermes, Prometheus, Coyote and The Monkey King all come to mind
