What’s poppin, Variants? It’s me MT and welcome back to the HS Show! I cannot tell you how much I LOVED that dang Loki finale! I truly could not imagine a more fitting ending for a reformed god who has coveted a throne all of his life. Seeing Loki’s transition from an agent of chaos and death to a defender of order and life has been one of the most rewarding journeys in the MCU…especially getting to see that incredible imagery of Loki converting the Sacred Timeline from an unholy Halo powered by the illusion of choice to a beautiful, free growing tree of infinite possibilities. Today we’re going to break down the science behind Loki’s ascent to his cosmic throne and how the green glow of the MCU’s new Multiverse Tree relates to the Green Time Infinity Stone! Let’s get into it, Nerd Gang!
Alright so, one of the things I want to address first is whether or not the Yggdrasil that we see Loki create in the Season 2 finale is the same exact Yggdrasil that we were introduced to in the first Thor movie.

I think that very likely the world tree and timeline tree are an example of microcosm and macrocosm, or as above so below. Every branch of Lokis timeline tree contains a world tree. This may in fact be the natural state of the multiverse, and Loki was fated to hold it together. From the perception of everyone inside the timeline he always has.

I felt like the gold and black was visually meant to look like Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken pottery with gold to 'celebrate the flaws and misteps of life' and 'treats breakage and repair as part of ones history, rather than something to disguise'. Thats what the shows been about, Loki using his flaws to do better (like that plan to make Brad talk), and whats Loki if not the biggest flaw in HWR plan (maybe), and if not for those flaws hed never of ended up on that throne. HWR could have been repairing the citadel with a gold looking substance to hold it together as it got older. Just general repair for him, but visually supposed to invoke something else And Mobius told him he dealt with his burdens with 'scar tissue', which is essentially what the gold in Kintsugi pottery is. Its like he made a throne of scar tissue to help him with his burden. I got the vibe that he was the one that had the gold cover the broken throne, and his actual in character reason being a sort of ironic thing. Like, he's finally getting his golden throne, but its battered and alone at the end of time, and he puts the gold on it to remind himself what truly sitting in a throne means.

If green energy represents gravity and not just time, that would also explain the Hulk and She-Hulk's green transformations that completely defy mass conservation- because their bodies are converting the gravitational energy around them into mass, giving them their green hued skin and super-strength provided by their manipulation of mass itself.

Life is born of chaos, i took his putting energy into the dying timelines (entropic death) as putting his chaos magic into them to respark life. It was why i found the ending so ironic; a being of chaos being a keeper of order forever more. Though i also thought the tree was more representative of the Tree of Life (celtic) as opposed to the Nordic version

I do like it when you bring sciencey theories into the MCU. I don't think "Green Energy = Gravity" works completely (What about Gamma, which is also depicted as green in the MCU or Graviton's powers in AoS not being green?), but it's an interesting idea. Clearly there has been color coding going on, which may or may not fit with depictions in the comics, since the MCU started. It would be nice if there was one unifying theory, but I have a feeling this color coding has grown organically from film to film and there have been revisions to any official coding that may exhist bts. Keep those theories coming, MT!

If enough gamma radiation is contained and compressed, would that energy not be converted into matter via general relativity?
@Natta44
@Natta44 10 месяцев назад
I agree that there was never a plan. Because in Avengers the mind stone is in a blue casement. There would be no point to that if they wanted the mind stone to be obvious to viewers to differentiate from the space stone. But I think green being gravity powers doesn't swing. I'd say its manipulation. Like loki's illusions are manipulation of light, telekinesis is manipulation of objects, loki did manipulation of shadows, enchantment I'm not sure because that seems to be more mind powers. But could be manipulation of the synapses to the brain like Sylvie inferred in s1. Who knows magic lore is never consistent!
@coleledet3868
@coleledet3868 10 месяцев назад
here's the thing about the idea of Loki creating The World Tree(no, I'm not gonna spell it lol): That whole event, the season2 finale, happened outside of time itself. So... Loki could well have created the tree referenced in Thor and indeed all of Norse mythology in the MCU because once Loki organized the timelines in this fashion, they would have effectively ALWAYS been organized in this manner.

Loki writers: Let's end it with a god sitting on a throne holding the universe together Warhammer: Oh, how nice! We've been doing that for the past 10,000 years...

World tree vs cosmic tree. Also, play this out to its conclusion. At the end of our universe and beginning a new big bang, loki becomes the time stone giving it the green color by his magic. The next universe has a green stone because it was loki magic. Every time stone being green, was this always the case? Is there a loki in every universe with a glorious purpose? (I dont think he got his magic from infinity energy, I think the infinity energy got its power from loki in all previous versions)

So I just rewatched Thor 1 and there was a scene where Loki shouts to Thor that if he destroyed the bridge he’d never see her (Jane Foster) again. This totally parallels when Loki opted to destroy the loom knowing he would save Silvie and all of his friends but would cut himself off from everyone. EPIC character arch

I think the point is he's not controlling it, he's simply anchoring it. He's not wielding the power, he's curating it and nurturing it. That was his character arc, after all. A mad burning to control others and forcing them to kneel to the allowance of choice about him, and protecting it like a nobleman.

Loki S2 was great but you can tell they had to make edits. Miss Minutes/Renslayer had lots of development in the beginning episodes and it kind of goes no where.
