I use the PDL mount to hold my fish finder right in front of me on my drive. I also have a lot of mods/accessories from Nick at navarrekayakfishing. He did just have a house fire and the business is not operating at 100% yet. Him and his family are fine just slowly getting the business back up and running.
Very nice setup 💯. I've done used the magnet 🧲 idea of yours 😀. Now im on to the 2x4, and the cheek pad 😁. Thanks for the sharing your ideas 💡 i appreciate them 🤝🏼
Sweet rig man! I’m not sold on the yak power ONLY because I have a separate battery for everything. Garmin recommends livescope being on its own battery to prevent any interference. I just carry a couple extra small lithiums to power the electronics and have them basically hardwired. I need to try that seat riser mod though!
Awesome setup brother. Very thorough walk through along with your price guideline, I'm sure it'll be very helpful and eye opening to alot of people. Ever think about upgrading your crate? If you did, what kind would you get? Great video overall bro, love your channel. ✌️
Thank you brother! Yes I am considering that exact upgrade 👀 Been looking at the Blackpak pro 16x16 🤩 Still gotta pull the trigger though! Thanks for watching and supporting my man!
I want to get a kayak but I own a prius. I've seen some sit on top that are modular and brooklyn kayak has one that folds. Do you have any experience with something like that?
Would you need one that folds? If you could get roof racks, a lighter kayak like the bonafides or even tamaracks may be suitable. Or the Bote or NRS inflatables as well. I don’t have experience with the folding kayaks personally but I’ve seen a few out in the wild.
Great video. I have the 106mk and I'm about at that number wothout a trailer. I have looked at that harbor frieght trailer however I live in PA and they won't ship here. May i ask how you got it and how you got it titled? Thanks in advance!
So I was lucky and it was registered when I got it. My buddy owned it and he took it to an auto shop for the lights and had it weighed at a scrap metal yard. After that he was able to title and register it.
I have the same trailer for my AutoPilot and I'm really liking your truck rack mod. I also have a BigWater 132 PDL that I would like to fit on there. Do you add any kind of padding to the racks when putting your kayak up there?
The rack is awesome. I don’t put any padding on there for my PDL 120 and haven’t run into any issues. Out of curiosity, How do you lay your AP down on the trailer? Right on the plywood? I didn’t do pvc bunks or anything.
@@BeardedDadFishing ok that’s awesome. I think I’m going to get a set of these and set it up like yours. I have my AP sitting on marine carpet straight on top of plywood. I have thought about pvc bunks just to make it easier to slide off and on. It does stick to the carpet pretty good and can be a little tough pulling it onto the trailer if I’m not backed far enough into the water.
Still cheaper than a Hobie 😂 Question for you in regards to the handle mount of your Garmin. I have the same unit and thought about installing it there, but I use my paddle a lot on the Delta because of the grass and felt like it would be in the way of paddling, do you have any issues with it there when paddling?
Love the handle mount but it will get in the way when paddling. I just take off the fish finder mount and pop it over to my rail while I’m paddling. That’s the great thing about the lock and load bases.
