4:30 actually, it absolutely _is_ to be confused with Noah's ark, by design. It is believed that Noah's ark "landed" on the Ararat mountain, which is the symbol of Armenia, despite being just across the border in Turkey. In fact, Noah's ark on Ararat is in the center of Armenian coat of arms.
@@nicolasdressler9793 I mean at some point a team in a small league like that manages itself to league titles to be fair, did you achieve anything in Europe with them?
@@edi0157no unfortunately farthest I got was Europa league quarterfinals. Best team we ever beat was Dortmund. At the time of me taking them over however, I was three seasons deep in the save and they had just sacked their manager and finished 3rd the season before I took the job, also had new owners come in and take over
@@nicolasdressler9793 that s still really far for a Latvian league team though, well done. Those new owners must have been backing you quite a bit, that was so lucky for you
The challenge looks exactly like one that happened in a game between NACIONAL-URU and RIVER PLATE-ARG during the Copa Libertadores group stage this year, and the outcome was exactly the same. The player jumps with both feet in the air, in a movement that could've broken the adversary's leg. The VAR calls the referee (Anderson Daronco, from Brazil), and after watching it MULTIPLE TIMES, in MULTIPLE SPEEDS, he decides NO FOUL because the player hit the ball before almost breaking the other player leg. It's crazy to see that happen again in the other side of the world.
Daronco, it's always a joy to see him in a game. /s Imagine being in the same country as him and having him referee your team's game somewhat frequently.
You mentioned Guiu as an undesirable at Chelsea. He is actually one of the few youngsters who will probably get manhandled minutes this season. He is also beloved by the fans. Watch him over the next few years, he is great
As a Servette fan l am incredibly grateful of the fact that we are in Europe and l’m even prouder that my team and my favorite keeper Jeremy Frick is involved in what’s the worst miss of the season. Thank you for the coverage Zealand❤ Love from Geneva
BTW What's the logic behind EUCL's format? The UCL and UEL will have the teams play 8 maches, but the UECL's League phase will make the teams play just 6. What's going on there? Doesn't it make more sense to just make it the same as the UCL and UEL?
This was absolutely disgusting, and there is no way the ref should be allowed to officiate at any level again, because he actually went to the f****** screen!!! AND DIDN:T GIVE IT!!!!!!!! This is the epitome of incompetence or corruption, there is no other explanation, at ANY LEVEL of the game.
You know SI are going to be rubbing their hands together seeing that tackle and that miss so they can justify the shenanigans that go on every game on Football Manager.
Shout out to the Conference league! One interesting fact, the only country outside the top 10 ranked nations to have all teams still competing in Europe is Sweden Malmö - UCL ATM but probably play in UEL group stages Elfsborg - UEL (1-0 ahead vs Molde) Djurgården - Conference League (1-0 ahead vs Maribor) Häcken - Conference League (lost 2-1 vs Heidenheim) Even the Netherlands & Czechia (both in top 10) got one team eliminated.
Malmo had such shit luck with the first goal too (I am a FCSB fan that now roots for Malmo just because the ref filled us up with yellows for literally being fouled (one of them was a penalty shout too) while not punishing their timewasting and not giving enough added time (only 5 mins) in the second leg of the last round vs Sparta and even so we had almost come back from 3-0 down at halftime to 3-2 by the 85th minute so I want Malmo to come back but it will be tough indeed)
@@edi0157 I agree, but Malmo got lucky in the last round vs PAOK so hope they can bounce back in Czechia. Would have been cool to see Steaua back in the UCL!
@@yymediaprod Yeah, I also supported PAOK in that tie because of Razvan Lucescu. The annoying part is that if we still had last season s talisman Florinel Coman (league top scorer with 18 goals including free kick goals plus being the one that generally stood out with dribbling and making things happen) and he hadn’t gone to Qatar we had an actual shot, we were definitely not blown apart by anyone unlike pre match expectations vs Sparta and somewhat LASK now in EL too. And Maccabi in Q2 was missing 5 players or so due to the Olympics and we drew Virtus in Q1 which was really lucky and we still couldn’t make it…EL is still amazing though, if we can beat LASK at home we are in, unfortunately we are apparently losing our captain Olaru (another one of out best players even if he got a ridiculously stupid red card in the league by raising his leg above the opponent s knee to “protect the ball” last time) after the playoff too…
Fun fact about that NOAH team: the stricker Gonçalo Gregório, two seasons ago, was playing in Portuguese third division and he was not even the best player in that team. He has now scored 6 goals in 7 european matches.
If RFS beat APOEL it will be only second time a Latvian team plays un Europa League. If they lose, they play Conference League, also second time for Latvia and for RFS
These European draws are so funny to me, we got a Feröan team facing of a Finnish team and a Northern Irish team facing a Gibraltan team and then we have 3 Turkish teams and 3 Swiss teams facing each other and while I think Servette playing Chelsea is funny, they should have played Fenerbace but they are in different competitions unfortunately
As a Chelsea fan watching the match it was about the funniest thing in a while to see Guiu miss that chance. He looked great so far and especially his pressing is fantastic (I jokingly call him Gallaguiu because of that) but I just don't know how he missed it by that much. Tough credit to him: He created the chance himself. Many other ST wouldn't have.
Gibraltar's Lincoln City Red Imps beat Larne 2-1 in the first leg, on the cusp of being the first team in the history of Gibraltar football to reach a European competition.
Only thing worse than that tackle was Declan Rice's two footed tackle from directly behind the opposing player in my FM24 game I just played while watching this. Bro ran all the way across the screen, plotted the angle, and destroyed the guy.
Hello mr.zealand, I do not know if you have talked about it but you should make a video on the third division of france football, national. There is a literal club missing, it should be a 18 club division, instead it is 17.
Being a fan of a Welsh League Club, all I can say is thank god we got relegated 😂 so happy for TNS and hopefully it could kick-start our league system a little bit
The most insane thing about the LASK-FCSB is that a man called David Miculescu scored for us (FCSB). He is terrible. Like, 13 goals in 100 games before this game with 3 of those coming against San Marino s Virtus (yeah it was his 101st appearance and he is 23 years old, somehow) terrible. The goal came from the only good cross of the game of a 35 year old RB who is known to be unable to cross (Cretu). If that s not a divine sign we are going through idk what is, honestly LASK should just give up now. And yeah that tackle at the beginning is just, how do you even think of that. The Galata game was also a bit more nuanced as YB had a 2-0 lead, then Galata equalises via a Michy double, then they get a weird red card (second yellow, first was for kicking the ball away) and penalty for a handball that came off the defender s leg and lightly grazes his fingers so that s how it ended 3-2. As a Romanian, shame for Petrocub too, they beat TNS in the previous round but Ludogorets seems to be just a bridge too far. They still have the ECL though. 10:47 to be fair the draw was split between the Champions Path and the League Path as it usually is (except in EL because we somehow drew LASK that did not win their league) so they couldn’t have drawn those but still tough either way. Yeah that is a hell of a miss, he rushed it since he knew the GK was coming but still. 13:57 YOU SKIPPED WISLA BEING SECOND TIER AGAIN, I CANT…anyway CFR vs Pafos was somewhat interesting too because in the 36th minute at 1-0 veteran (38 year old) CFR captain Deac decided to just slap an opponent in the back of the neck off the ball for 0 reason whatsoever. Just…why? 15:35 look up the 3rd Fiorentina goal, a Hungarian guy literally falls over for no reason to give them the ball and start the play too lmao, still, fair play for getting the draw. And I didn’t know De Gea was there tbh
they were formerly Llansantfriedd, big couldn't build a stadium locally, so moved across the border to Oswestry where the facilities were available. As a result, they get about half the crowd of other Welsh league clubs, even though they're the Man City of the Welsh leagues.
I know they lost 6-1, but how can Zealand still not mention that wisla krakow is a team in Poland's 2nd division. I would understand if he is an undercover Legia fan.
Borac has been splashing cash on good players lately, 5:22 damn right it is, great game, could have been 5-3 easy, dinamo gk had a great day, and dinamo's baturina hit woodwork twice
Add some respect for RFS, while they are not my team and have cooled off a bit since the start of their season, they are still 2 losses in 25 games. I know its silly to get too hopeful for them but come on, to see a Baltic team stir some hope in European competition is pretty cool.
11:47 He misses to score because he is overthinking. The goalkeeper is sprinting and would normally jump for the ball. He is trying to make a slow shot so it goes behind him while he is running or jumping past it. I am pretty sure you did not get that when analysing it. AND NO - the right shot is not always obvious when you spectate.
Zea, love you brother, but the fact that you always take 20 minutes to describe a story that should take five minutes must means that I have taken to ignoring most of your content these days. Just an honest opinion from a mostly lapsed viewer.
I mean on this one he talked about multiple stories from all of European qualifying but yeah, he can ramble on a bit, somewhat by design too as he said he wants to achieve that “talk with your mates at the bar” feeling but I can see how 3 Zealandisms per day with non descriptive titles so you can’t even pick them that way can be a bit much
Hey dude nobody cares about you running, grind in silence or forever be a victim ti comparison. Not from yourself but others and their opinions. Much like mine
