I’ve been designing dolls for 25 years- here are some helpful tricks that I’ve created over the years! HAT/ PONYTAIL HACK 1-Hold the ponytail rubber band securely. 2-Pull it down slowly and evenly to the level of her ears,. 3- Now she’ll be able to wear the hat and keep her ponytails. STUBBORN SLEEVE HACK 4-Squeeze her fingers together and wrap them up with clear scotch tape to make a triangular point. 5-Push the pointed hand through the arm hole., like you’re threading a needle (This only works if the doll has soft, rubbery hands). 6-Once the hand is through, make sure that you slowly take the tape off immediately afterwards so that the tape doesn’t remove the nail polish or leave a sticky residue on the hand!

Or... just take the hands off. The sweater sleaves dont have to show. Slide the arm and pop the hands back. Tadaaa

@@AS-tu4dv if you pull the hand off to mutch the joint will get loose and the hands will either not really be posible or they will fall out. At least that's what happened to some of my dolls.

I got her too and she is my favorite of all of the omg dolls! She’s just so adorable! Mine came with a lip defect too though. Also she does come with earrings but they are wrapped up in the very edge of the tissue paper. I almost missed them too. And I had to play around with sleeves for a bit to get her hands through but did eventually get them through. It was worth the struggle. 😂

@@slytheringingerwitch If you want to leave the shirt on under the jacket, you can’t take the hands off on this particular doll because her fingerless gloves are actually part of her shirt sleeves (sewn directly onto the sleeves).

@@TheDollCircle The same thing happened to me with Speedster. I thought the earrings were missing. The doll had no defects for once so it was even more annoying. They were in fact hidden in the edge of the tissue paper that I had put back in the box... luckily! 😉🙂

It's hard to see the defect on camera, so I probably wouldn't return her. I like her a lot. May not get all from this series, but I want her. Cute!

If the defect bothers you, I would try to return it. Just know that dolls are often made in "lots" so if the mold or paint sprayer was off on one doll, chances are all the ones in that lot will be too. And depending on how large that lot/batch was there's no telling if there were other molds/sprayers for makeup were used. You could try going to a different store/source to buy it and see if you get something different, but there's just no guarantee they all didn't come out that way.

I think she’s cute but I really do not like her boots. I think she would look better with Ugg type boots, especially since she is supposed to be a winter doll. Cowboy boots are not very appropriate winter boots, in my opinion. I live where we have snow 6 months out of the year.

Mine had the same exact issues with her jacket it was HUGE like it doesn’t give the illusion of a bodysuit, also she comes with earrings I actually can see them in the paper in this video lol

Thanks guys...I just found the earrings in the tissue days later....lol. I took off her hands to put the coat on then put them back on thru the gloves once they were thru the sleeves of the jacket

My Icy's lips came exactly like that, even on the same side of the mouth. I didn't return her because the rest of her was perfect, and I figured if it bothered me I could just repaint her mouth with glitter paint.

I love her face and hair SO much. But I passed on her at the store today and got big wig. Her outfit and accessories are just a wee bit confused for me buuuuut I’ll probably see her at target again and cave 😂

I wouldn't return a doll over such a tiny paint defect. It's so small, it's hardly noticable, and I think a tiny imperfection gives a doll character, like a mole or birthmark would. I would only return a doll if I ended up not loving her or if there was something wrong with her functionality.

I like Icy Gurl more than I would have thought definitely want her & Missy Meow. The tot is so cute I love the hat & cute outfit & painted on leggings. The hair color is so pretty & cute. The nose being a little red I love. Love the Star freckles. The cow person boots are odd with the look 😂🤷🏻‍♀️. Yes the gloves sew to the shirt are problematic for getting the jacket on which is a bummer. I know some with Camp Cutie the overalls are way too tight. She does have earrings they are like blue & white mountain earrings. I don’t like the glasses 😂. It’s too bad have to take the hair down to get the hat on good. I wonder why these boxes didn’t get more exciting backgrounds inside them 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I want to get my first omg for the holidays but I have a great OCD about defects .plus because I don't live in the US I would hate to take that risk for a defected OMG I really do want to get the class Prez now .I'm having a rethink

This doll kind of made me sad and angry!When her photos first week's on the internet... she was my favorite one out of all four! And I was so excited to get her a time boxer one, but in my opinion this tall is a complete messterpiece! Not only are her boots are repaint from the just-released remix girl Lonestar, they just don't go with that outfit! I'm willing to forgive this if her hat would stay on and her zipper on her pants didn't become stuck down for the rest of its life. I too did have issues getting her hands through the sleeves of the jacket because you're right you can't take her hands out of the socket without not being able to put them back in the sleeve gloves, it just takes a little bit of fussing and tugging and eventually you will be able to get the soft hands through. I don't understand the design at all it's almost like it was rushed and not thought about! I got the hat to stay on her head by tucking one of the balls behind the other...

They don't I got a fame queen from remix remix set with a broken hand they don't do refunds and when I called and emailed they say they do not sell spare doll parts for omg dolls so I had to superglue it on. Thankfully the other dolls were ok but I was disappointed the hand was broken and it couldn't be replaced.

Like #114 here :) I couldn't get her hat to stay on her so I just tied the poms poms under her chin :) And the boots were a bit tight. Overall, I think she's very pretty! And I love her big hair!

She is a pretty doll and love her hair colour and style, and the 80's style ski outfit looks cool but weird shoe style for the snow theme. And pity about the glitter missing on her lip and that the jacket won't fit well over the hands with the undershirt. Overall she is a beautiful doll and great idea how to put her furry hat on and looks great. Love your review 😍💖

You can remove the thumbs from the gloves (sleeves) and then remove the hands, to put the jacket on.😊

For I am just a doll collector, who does not get anything for free. And if I buy a doll for EUR 43, I want her face to be painted properly - no matter if she comes in a blind box or not.

I will return a doll if they are missing like an actual accessory or something major like that. Like for example I've gotten a Rainbow High doll that I ordered online that was missing earrings even though she clearly comes with earrings. And I wrote to MGA about it but they didn't do anything about it so yeah I returned it.

I just received the other three and was a little disappointed ☹️ each one had something missing. One had missing earrings, one had the waist holder missing that holds her on the stand, and the other one only had the base to the stand. Idk why this happened unless their rushing to get the dolls out idk. But for $26.88 you expect to have everything.

Nice review Thank you, I do love all of these Dolls however the Earings arnt always to my liking especially when they provide a pair thats odd, I know thats Fashion but I prefer a pair of earings to be the same sooooo I have used Crystal Flower pins , the stems cut down & they look stunning, this info is for Adults of course.

I mean, i wouldn't necessarily return her, but i'd e-mail the mga customer support about it. While i personally, as a german person who isn't covered by mga's waranty policy, can't say much about their support, the youtuber courtly jester so far had multiple videos about mga customer service replacing damaged dolls and accessoires after emailing them with the issues. For example, she got a replacement cosmic nova because the lips on her og had patchy glitter, so you might be able to get a new one for the same reason.

This is a minor defect. It hardly shows in the video. Many of my omgs have worst issues. I am so sick of it that I decided I will not buy anymore omgs full price. And any MGA products full price too.

I disagree that defects are to be expected and accepted with surprise toys, or any product. Plus, this isn't a surprise toy.

I totally agree. It is not what should be expected, unless people enjoy feeling ripped off. These dolls cost between £30 and £40 in the UK. It is expensive. I expect more attention to quality control especially because we can't see the product. Rainbow High have issues too. It is becoming a recurrent issue with MGA products. It did not used to be like this before the lol surprise craze... just a thought.

@@stephanieladeinde3224 I experienced many defects with omgs dolls. I am just fed up. In the US, I heard MGA replaces the dolls. Not in Europe. We can bring the doll back to the shop for a refund or an exchange. I could not bring back dolls because I unboxed them totally before noticing. I should not have to bring back dolls anyway. It is annoying and embarrassing. In my case, I am sick of it. I don't have the energy anymore! I had to bring back a doll 3 times once! Luckily, I opened the 2 last ones in the shop! Talking about older products, I have just bought a Bundle of second hand Bratz. They have been played with. The face paint is great and after their beauty spa session, the hair is great too. So I think it is quite a recent recurrent issue. The hair of my omgs is generally very good quality by the way. The defects are bad paint issues, very visible and bad scratches on their eyes or terrible misalignment on one of my doll. And clothing issues (they don't bother me as much). In the worst case, you can bring the doll back to the shop if you are not in the US. Maybe you will not experience any defects. It is a kind of lottery!

Thanks for your reply but is it worth the chance .I truly want to get one but I can't mentally deal with bad paint jobs on a doll because I can't repaint .I'll just buy one class Prez for a chance and see .is it advisable to order from MGA entertainment directly rather than stores

@@stephanieladeinde3224 I don't think so. Where do you live? If you are in the US, if you contact MGA with a problem with the doll, they should do something for you. If you live in Europe, just take the doll back to the shop. I bought one omg that had NO paint defect the first time! lol it can happen! The last one I bought was reduced (yes, I refuse to pay full price now!!), I asked to open it in the shop. The doll I opened had bad scratches on her eyes (again!). I truly wonder how they can manage to scratch so many of these dolls' eyes. Luckily they had 2 in stock and the second one was fine! lol😉 I am so sick of it, I bought a few second hand. Some of them have issues and some don't. It is a lot cheaper and I am not so upset with defects if the doll is not new. Class Prez is adorbs. I would like to adopt her too at some stage. I don't have that many omgs dolls. I am far to have them all. This is not my plan either. Just buy her and if there's something wrong take her back to the shop. You will love her for sure. Despite all this, I do love omgs! It is just MGA that infuriate me. Too many quality issues with their products whatever they are.
