it is sad that Joannes is going out of business. but they do upcharge like crazy for fabric. I would look into either online stores or local smaller businesses.

Definitely! Sadly I live in a pretty rural area and now I have to drive to another town just to have access to a Hobby Lobby. We don't have any small sewing or fabric businesses here, but I do source a lot of my fabrics from thrifted clothes. So at least I still have that option. I always feel insecure about buying fabric online because I like to be able to feel it first.

I love going to second hand stores to find fabric for my doll projects or I upsicle my own clothes. I love esing existing clothing pieces because my local fabric store only allowes half a yard minimum and I end up with a lot of waste and I can also find a lot more fun fabrics and colors at my local thrift store

What an unusual and fun mermaid..I love all her bright colours and her fun face paint.The factory hair was perfect for her and the outfit is fabulous ..Great job I love her 🥰
