This was made for my Film studies course
at college. I was supposed to make a 5 minute documentary on any subject of my choice. So I chose to make a short documentary on Lolita fashion.
This is just a fun little video about British lolita's.
The comments are only allowed by my approval. Please do not post your comment more than once. I will receive it and I will decide if It's suitable for the comments section.
Please remember, this is a amateur documentary. The people in it express their own views on the fashion. If your views differ from theirs then don't throw a hissy fit.

I loved this!! There definitely aren't enough documentaries on lolita! That accessory shop at the end looked AMAZING! I wish I lived somewhere close to cute shops like that! There is Baby,the stars shine bright, but it's six hours away! @_@ great job!

I love it! Wish more girls/women dressed feminine in big poofy skirts with layers of petticoats. Had expected to see one of the girls in a big skirt. I have a passion for the 1950s.

My sister and I have wanted to join into this trend for years now, my fascination started when I was 16 and I am 22 now and I finally bought my first dress recently as did she. We are very excited to finally have the bravery to take our first steps into this new fad.

I find that the older lolita's have better wardrobes as they can afford more. You can also make things! Lots of girls make amazing dresses, like Aggie in this video. Personally I don't think you are ever too young to wear it! It's just when people first get into the fashion they get some things wrong or end up looking more goth then lolita. This is why I wanted to make this video for people who are interested but cannot find the information they need. Keep researching and stay interested!

I'm a lone lolita too. Recently, I lent my friend a dress to wear and get comfy in. I can only hope for her to like it enough to wear lolita a lot. XD As far as having loli friends is concerned, there are lots of online groups and communities out these the most popular being EGL on livejournal. Having online loli friends is great too ^_^

Yeah, Dodo hangs around Camden a lot! We used to but our meet ups usually happen around Leicester square. That is where the shop at the end is. It is tucked away at the end of china town. You need to go past the pagoda at the end of the high street and down a small ally way an into the small shopping bit on the right.

@Carmello1andonly It does take courage to wear lolita. I started wearing lolita in high school. It was scary at first and I felt silly. But I grew more confident and now I wear it daily to university. Confidence sometimes comes with experience. Start wearing it casually and you'll be surprised how many people will like it. Lolita is a fashion to make YOU happy. Not others. Forget them and remember how good you feel when you wear it! Good luck!

@BlueNeko1 Just because we are British and dress in Lolita it doesn't make us any less authentic than the "REAL Lolli's" Japan. There is no "pure" Lolita. As long as you love the fashion and it makes you happy, in my books that makes you a real lolita. Just sayin'

there is only one lolita person where I live and that is me. All of my friends would think its too girly to do this stuff... but I absolutely LOVE it, its amazing and different and thats what I like :)

I love lolita! I thik I'm personally a little too young to dress lolita, and the money is a big issue, as mentioned before. Plus my GCSEs start next year O_O But as soon as I get into college it's goodbye jeans, hello poof! I live in England too, and I think that a brand store should open up over here, like AP did with Paris and Baby did with San Fran. I think the biggest issue for me is getting other people to accept me, when I do wear lolita. I'm a bit scared my friends will drift away.

@BlueNeko1 I wasn't getting upset. I was just making a point. The way 'real' as capitalised, made your sentence sound like only the Japanese Lolitas are the real lolis. If you want to see Japanese Lolitas there is Nico Douga which is like youtube of Japan. If you click around and spend enough time on there you can find girls who post videos. Misako aoki does regular shows on there too. Of course all in Japanese though. I loved the Canadian lolita documentary. There is a massive scene out there

unfortuantly, mall of america doesnt have any lolita stores excpet for forever 21 which is a cute and really cheap accesories store... (it really isnt lolita, but it could look cute on lolita clothes xDDDD)
