Tried this more than a decade ago. It was the first full sized bottle of perfume I finished. The empty apple bottle is still in my living room. Will get another bottle tomorrow. It brings back memories!
I am living vicariously through your videos! Unfortunately, my sense of smell goes out frequently and for long periods of time. Your reviews are refreshing because you give me an experience, not a list of notes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you for reviewing Lolita Lempicka, Katie. I absolutely love this perfume (it's my signature scent) and it was surprising to hear you mention that it would be appropriate for either a woman or a man. I in fact prefer perfumes over colognes, and I appreciated your casual approval.
I found your reviews a while back and love them. Your reviews are pure poetry. It is such a talent to be able to describe a scent as though we can touch it and feel it. By the way, this fragrance sounds so nice that I am chancing a purchase through a great deal on Groupon right now.
Katie, you truly are unique in how you describe fragrance. Its what makes you stand out from all the other reviewers (even though there are many excellent fume heads out there;) When I see a new video posted by you, its like I know when I read it, the window is opened & a blast of beautiful refreshing air has been let in....LOVE the lipstick by the way:)
Thank you very much, i gonna try it out! Its so great that you really read my comment and answered it, that just showes that you really do care about your subscribers- big big plus! Keep going your great channel and thanks!!
OK, I must say, I love your reviews and I have already scream my love for this fine fragrance. It is simply wonderful but I am glad to know when people walk into my home and see the endless amounts of fragrance bottles through, well everywhere, that I am not alone and feel "odd" for loving fragrances....good fragrances...fantastic fragrances. You and your subscribers make me feel...well normal!!! To all you fragrance lovers out there...keep smelling...well smelly!!! Thanks Katie, keep it coming.
Happy to see you back. I bought this a while back after I remember you talking about it. I didn't like it for a while but I do now. It is very unusual & interesting...
Hurray, Katie's reviewing again! Missed you, and stuff. Would love to see you reviewing something in Vero Profumo's line, and Serge Lutens's latest, Vierge de Fier.
I'm always happy when I see you have a new video up! My best friend wore LL for a brief time in school, I find licorice hard to bear anyway but I just can't get this connection out of my head, for me it's just school time and class rooms unfortunately. Interesting bottle though!
I bought a bottle of this and it was just okay to me. When I started to wear it, just to kind of get rid of it, I got a TON of compliments on it. I’ve never gotten so many people saying I smell good and asking what I’m wearing...just wish I liked it more.😂
I ordered L de lolita lempicka and amazon sent me the regular one by accident. I sprayed it about three times before returning to get the one I wanted. It really lasts all day and mellows out well and I regretted returning it. They discontinued my L de Lolita some time ago and I finally bought a small bottle of the regular lolita lempicka today as my cooler season fragrance. I love it!
I definitely get a cherry note too.. great... soft, slightly spicy, powdery... You're right it's unisex and Annick Menardo is a real expert on her own. I also think that this one smells similar to La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain created by Thierry Wasser
It is chalky! I've been wearing it for two straight monthes and loving it, but it reminded me of something I couldn't pinpoint and it's been bothering me. But here it is - wet chalk!
Hiram, it refers to a fragrances that clings so close to your body that it melds with your skin, and might almost be your natural skin smell. Usually it's musk-based fragrances that do that. It's the opposite of bold perfumes with a lot of throw.
Hello! What are the sites indicates you to buy perfumes that are original? FragranceX? FragranceNet? Fragranceshop? Other? These site selling original perfumes or fake? thank you
Can you help me? I am searching for a signature fragrance- i am a young women, searching for a clean, warm scent, thats a little bit sweet but no too sweet, and that kinda goes with everything! I can have some powdery notes to it, something like freshly washed clothes, and it should just be nice and light, but it should last long on you! Do you know anything like this? Can you recommend something to me? I would be very thankful :)
Oh, this scent! Reminds me of a highschool friend who wore this, and I thought it was just so cool that I had to put it on my christmas list, that and Clinque's Happy. HA! You can buy this at Sephora.
Hi Katie! I want to buy my boyfriend a perfume, he doesn't use perfume generally...but if I could find one that smells like earl grey tea, he would go nuts. So if you could give me some ideas, I would be forever grateful.
You look absolutely stunning - love the hair, your colors - you know yourself so well and know what works for you. I really admire that. You have truly inspired me to go on the Fragrance Journey. I've been reading and IMMERSED in Alyssa Harad's Coming To My Senses; (Books: Perfume, A Story of Murder, one re Luca Turin....), ordered a few niche samples, snoofing other samples, going back to things I thought would never work for me. What a Ride! Thank you for your knowledge & sharing. XO Susan
katie,i enjoyed your review, very descriptive and helpful.please consider reviewing lolita lempicka " l'eau en blanc".i have fallen in love with this one,but ,it is a limited edition and i really need to find a substitute fragrance for it.someone suggested 'tocade',but that really doesn't appeal to me.thank you, marie
I saw that, really dont mean to fuss! just thought you would be more intrigued by it because it does have different levels to it.. Anyway its not my favorite at the moment! At the moment I cant get enough of givenchy-hot couture , is there a chance you can review this?xxx
great review I*m a cosmetologist Lolita lempicka was 1 of my 1rst real pefumes & i am was very (goth) luv that u said that. i luv sweet scents, i luv coco ch. Madam. & Vict secret angel while looking that up because someone gave me a knock off n i wanted to know the real purfume & saw they compare it to victorias angel? wondering what ur opinion is? some of the knock offs smell better but don*t have the quality so glad i saw ur review i cant wait 2see that cute lavender gold embossed apple on w/ my others. do you know an escada older make that is similiar? or other sweet (not in2 floral or fresh) although flower bomb is very pretty.I do luv angel w/ patchouli it* strong but sweet. thanks either way..
Wonderful review. My lovely friend bought me this for Christmas and I have to say although I like it I haven't been paying too much attention to it. But you are actually spot on with the dusty quality...perhaps I shall wear it more now. As always great review, I would love to see a review of the new LUSH gorilla perfume line, in particular Flowers Barrow (which for me brings to mind Ingmar Bergman's Swedish black and white landscapes ala The Seventh Seal), and Furze which is a gourmand-y scent
When I first started looking at colognes licorice was reported to be a scent that women love, just saying I bought a few boxes of Good and Plenty after that.
Yes! The men's of course is stronger, but still smells good. The women's smells like a baby for me, you know the freshly-bathed haha. It smells perfectly sweet, like a lavender and vanilla, and yes it reminds me of fairies too hahaha
you made me open my eyes into the parfum's world, love your reviews, can you please tell me what means skinscent? I remember long time ago I used to wrar Aramis New West, the blue bottle, in the 90's I loved it, and people said that it was a weird cologne. xoxo, and thanks.
Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin isn't a million miles away from the "ladies' version". The division between men's and women's scents is arbitrary and was instated with the advent of marketing in the early 20th century. Before that, a nice smell was a nice smell, and everyone would choose from the same colognes/perfumes.
WOW! loving ut red lipstick, you qualify for lipstick collection video lolz, gr8 review, agree the liqorice note is very dark and their new add campaign plus video is beauriful, with dakota, forest & unicorn.
Love this fragrance. It used to be my fav years ago but this girl I didn't really like too much started wearing it and so I stopped. Since then I still have not found one that I loved as much...might go back to it...since I no longer know that girl...
I was starting to think this had been discontinued because I've been dying to smell it and can't find it ANYWHERE. It sounds elegant. Could you please review some Tokyomilk Dark fragrances?
