This is the Stage 4 theme from Touhou 15: Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom
I'm in love with this theme. It's just fantastic. Touhou 15 looks ridiculous so far and I'm so into it.
Anyway, so my plan after uploading the rest of LoLK will be, since the official OST for ULiL is being released this Comiket, is to start the OST from scratch and reupload HQ versions of all the themes. However I'll upload all the pre-battle themes in one go so you won't have to wait a million years for me to upload them again :/

Questionable priorities. I think that if the moon of all places is habitable, then they could beam to mars, europa or elsewhere instead of razing an actually populated place to the ground.

@@TheRealFraston I think the reason for Earth being selected as the target for their evacuation is the fact that Earth is accessible through the Dream World. The Dream World is where the Lunarians evacuated to, and I am not aware of any connection of the Dream World to some other planet, so Earth is really the only place they could go. Besides, Earth is pretty close, so it's much more desirable place to move on top of just being easier.

Touhou has continuously gotten darker, more... final as the years pass. Some people even speculate that the Lunarians will become the main villains of the whole series... but we can never know. If the recent games tie together, we don't know how yet.

Oh my god. This theme might just shape to become one of my personal favourites in all of Touhou. It feels so mysterious, and it fits going through the Lunarian Capital more perfectly than I'd ever expect. For those who doubted ZUN's touch; I can proudly say that it is not the case. Quite the opposite, even.

+Dsx I find that frighteningly true; the more I listen to the songs, even if I don't like them at first, I begin to like it after a while. I really didn't like Touhou 14's OST at all at first, but now it is my favorite of his works. As for this song, the Tambourine was a beautiful touch

The soundtrack was definitely much more fast-paced than his other works - which of course leads to a much more fast-paced game and a much more frantic bullet-hell experience (as if they weren't hard enough).

The stage itself reminded me a bit of DDC's one, just a little bit. But it was way calmer and relaxing than *stage 5* ..... I really love this theme. This time around I managed to avoid all the spoilers before playing, and it was absolutely worth it! Hearing this theme for the first time, while trying to survive just to reach one of the most interesting characters so far in the series (imo)... DEFINITELY worth it!

The new LoLK music might not be the most intense ost with the best percussions ever made for a Touhou game ost, but there're some pretty relaxing themes like this in this ost, I like this. Also, fun fact: ALL the enemies who actually shoot at you in this stage are yinyang orbs (Sagume uses yinyangs in all her spellcards and nonspells)

+Frozenfire56 Actually, Sagume's last spell doesn't contain any yin- yang orbs. The lasers are all fired by Sagume herself. ...On normal, Sagume also fires some spirit bullets in her first spell, but they're so sparse it hardly matters.

Reminds me of The Shining Needle Castle Sinking in the Air (DDC Stage 5). Both are, in my opinion, among the absolute best stage themes in the series.

Ur right about the different characters from previous games all appearing too which i like for the different routes and funny banter in a two person team. Im actually on PoFV and my touhou progress has slowed to a crawl since then… 😓 but i still love the franchise very much! Thanks for asking!

I _loved_ Stage 5. The stage patterns and Clownpiece's attacks, while absolutely brutal, are also tons of fun and very challenging. Unlike Sagume, who I can easily say is the most poorly- designed boss in any official Touhou game, whenever I died to one of Clownpiece's attacks, I didn't get frustrated. I want to try again so I could show Clownpiece who's boss. It felt incredibly satisfying to finally capture the first spell after 80 attempts.

Stage 4s usually require you to get more serious, so I'm guessing he puts more effort into making the theme more serious, stage six always has that 'this is it' feeling, so a good atmosphere is required, which would need good music.

I gotta say that this isn't bad soundtrack at all but I just like the soundtracks of older Touhou games better like EoSD, PCB, IN or MoF. I just miss the good old super epic and energic trumpet. In these new touhou games the bgm is just too calm but I can't say that this is bad at all.

TheOVJM What I did was go back to IN and fought Eirin (one of my all time fav bosses in Touhou) again, but this time I played LoLK's final boss theme, and it truly felt like I was battling her on the moon.

I mean, when you realize who made the occult ball that Sumireko activated to cause 14.5 and 15’s plots, it wouldn’t be too far fetched…

Is Sagume the only stage 4 midboss being the same as the boss ? For Reimu and Marisa in Touhou 8, it's pretty much like the boss battle already began because the boss ost is there. And for Seiga, you don't face Yoshika at the midboss battle, so you don't pretty much face the same ennemies.

Braviaggron I do count Seiga, Yoshika's merely her pawn in the boss battle.

+MrTheboomboxer But you still fight two ennemies in the boss battle, and only one in the midboss battle, and in the boss battle Yoshika shoots more bullets than Seiga.
