Can you explain spell card rules and why she's the reason we have them
2 года назад
@@bestianegra3725 Here is the original draft of the spell card rules as it is stated in perfect memento in strict sense: Duels between youkai threaten to destroy the small world of Gensokyo. However, a lifestyle without duels will cause the youkai to lose their power. Accordingly, we would like to permit such duels under the following contract. One: To make it easier for youkai to cause incidents. Two: To make it easier for humans to resolve incidents. Three: To reject a system wherein only the strongest have the right to rule. Four: That beauty and thoughtfulness stand above all. ●Combatants will give names and meanings to the duel for the benefit of beauty. ●Combatants will declare the number of named duels before beginning. Combatants may not repeat attacks by relying on stamina. ●Combatants may not deliver attacks that do not have meaning. The meaning itself becomes the attack's power. ●In the case that a combatant loses a named duel, that combatant will admit defeat, even if he or she has strength remaining. No combatant may kill a human, even upon victory. ●Combatants will write the duel's name on paper in the format of a contract. By doing so, the above-mentioned rules become absolute. These papers will be called spell cards. Specific dueling methods will be discussed with the shrine maiden at a later date. As for your second question: Basically Remilia started to gather around youkai goons to take over Gensokyo right after she came to Gensokyo (this was before eosd). However she was stopped by a powerful youkai (theories suggest that it was Yukari) and was forced to sign a contract, the devil's contract. The contract restricted Remilia's actions and movements heavily. Afraid that such a contract could be forced on them as well, the youkai wanted a solution from the shrine maiden.
@@bestianegra3725 They never explicitly say that she's the vampire, and the fact that Reimu doesn't recognize Remilia in this game when Reimu is the one who proposed the spell card rules in response to the vampire shows that she probably wasn't Remilia. (I could be wrong about Reimu proposing the card rules, but even if I'm wrong here she still should've known who Remilia was if the vampire was Remilia)
This theme is Touhou and not Touhou-like. It's Western and Eastern, what with its influence from the Pathetique and ZUNpets galore. It's a glorious final boss theme, that has more personality than power. It's really all that Remilia is.
@@s1chk Beethoven Virus is just a remix of Beethoven's Sonata No. 8 Pathetique's 3rd Movement "Rondo Allegro". This does draw its melody from it so OP is correct.
@@s1chk are you stupid? go listen to beethoven's piano sonata no. 8 "pathétique" 3rd movement... it's the piece which both this theme AND pump it up's beethoven virus are remixes of
@s1 I can't stop laughing at your stupid comment. Beethoven virus is just a remix of L.V. beethoven piano sonata nr.8 pathetique 3rd movement well now prove it you're wrong~

Same~ You get this feeling of accomplishment after beating a Touhou game your first time, I remember my first time beating Remilia I had no bombs or lives left, that last spellcard is a real battle of attrition
+Kajuker im still trying. I still have my accomplishments of 1cc-ing pcb, td(but the extra stage didn't unlock for some reason), ddc, and lolk tho.
No. This song almost always scores first place in popularity polls. U.N Owen Was Her usually scores second. I bet if McRoll wasn't ever a thing Flandre's theme would score quite a bit lower.
That cannot be if you are counting all the games, while it most certainly is true out of the EoSD songs Flowering Night is easily the most popular overall.
_you feel an evil presence cover the sky..._ _you feel your fate is being controlled by something..._ _this is your last night..._ *Remilia Scarlet has awaken*
I just started playing this game with the thought that boss levels are gonna be harder to dodge than Omega Flowey's attacks. Turns out it's every fucking level and the bosses were overdosed on steriods!
CyBst. Falzar in fact, most of them are easier, omega flowey is "unfair" (not a bad thing context-wise) touhou bosses are well designed and you can recognize their patterns more easily, and you have mlre room to react. It's just practice.
I agree. I don't memorize touhou boss patterns I just get better at them the more I play. Which is how difficulty should be in pretty much anything (well maybe with the exception of something like a turn based Rpg since thats all about knowledge and stuff)
Flowey is a game changer. He basically cheats. Touhou patterns are built one after each other. The end boss patterns are some kind of amalgamation of them all.
The thing is, Touhou isn't even that hard as far as bullet hell games go. There are patterns that you can learn in order to survive. It's not like games like Mushihimesama, where the bullets are designed specifically to kill you.
Remilia is such a charming character. So elegant, yet so childish. So childish, yet so charismatic. So charismatic, yet so powerful. Both frightening and silly!
So here's a really cool dream i had involving Remilia for some reason So it was like 1700 and i was fired from my job, with the possibility of starvation in my mind i had to resort to a life of piracy. I joined a crew with the captain being Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, (i really don't know why, i dont even like that much Jujutsu Kaisen), he didn't use his powers in any part of the dream and had but he was definitely Gojo, so he told us that if we escort this girl to a some island we will be rewarded with a lot of money so as pirates we obviously accepted, the thing was that that girl was Remilia, but she was way quieter, way younger (probably because in this in 1700 she had around 100 years or something) and had a totally different outfit (she was wearing one of these fancy kimonos that the Japanese royalty wore at the time). Gojo said to us to stop in a random island in the middle of nowhere, we found a door with a lock that connected to the underground, we couldn't open, I knew that Remilia could open the door and that's why Gojo took her with us but the two vanished, all the crew were looking day and night in that island but we never found out where they were, penniless and without our captain we set sail and then the dream abruptly ended. 8/10 weirdest crossover I have been in.
[Is Deep Crimson] Oh, you kids these days... I don't even think my theme's that good. In fact, I complained about it to my creator. Then he mixed it to make it even worse. Life isn't fair, is it?
This theme brings back some great memories of playing Touhou. It was late at night, and I had just gotten to Remilia. On the last Spell Card, Red Magic, I had 0 extra lives and 0 bombs. However, I dodged frantically, making sure not to die. If I had died, all of my progress would have gone to waste. My heart was pumping really fast, adrenaline rushing throughout my body, After dodging the bullets, I beat Remilia, finally unlocking Extra Mode. What a great moment for me as a gamer.
Remilia, the first final boss of a Windows Touhou game. And, what a way to start the true course off. Intimidating, powerful, and difficult. EoSD may be one of the worst games in terms of gameplay(or spritework, for the matter), but it started many good things to come. Edit: I don’t remember commenting this?
Remilia does reference DIO before her battle with Marisa. Marisa: "How many people's blood have you sucked up to now?" Remilia: "Can you remember how many slices of bread you have eaten until now?" Marisa: "Thirteen. I prefer Japanese food."
[warning: a long story] God I'll never forget the pure hapiness when i beat this game on lunatic to date my girlfriend the story is my girlfriend challenged me to win the Touhou 6 on lunatic (i wasn't a big fan of touhou but i loved the community a lot and i got into it because of Touhou 6) she used to date a bad toxic man who treated her terribly,i had a crush on her ever since the day i met her,and i wanted to date her so bad,and i get to talk to her and spend lot of fun time with her and i heard about her ex that he was careless and all,I felt pissed and i was like "she doesn't deserve him at all" i was extremely jealous and mad,I went to talk to him and the dude was so dry and i told him to break up with her because she doesn't deserve him at all,And he gave up on her that easily and she was devastated about it..then i talked to her for few days and i felt like i should ask her out,I asked her out for a date, and she told me that she had feelings for me ever since she met me,me and her had feelings for each other she accepted but unless.. If i beat Touhou 6 on lunatic mode THEN she can make it official, she said even if i lost she'd still date me but i said "No I will beat this challenge and you will see" I downloaded the game from moriya shrine, and start playing the levels over and over and over around 400+ attemps i spent entire solid 4 days training to beat it and i even recorded it (if u are interested you can watch it here: facebook.com/100013855213053/videos/1070599267105392/ And i finally did it,I beat the challenge and recorded the proof and everything,I run to her and told her "I DID IT HAHAHAHAHA NOW YOU WILL GONNA DATE ME >:))))" and she said "Wow you are so dedicated..that proofs that you are truly the one for me,I'll be your girlfriend but silly even if you didn't do it i would still accept you" i said "I wanted to proof myself that I'm a man and u can count on me and look at me now,I'm with her for around a year now and I'm saving up to travel and ask her hands out Long story short guys: if you are so dedicated on something,Don't give up that easily, and try each day, you'll even achieve anything you wished for if you believe in yourself
If anyone wants to know the full title of Beethoven's work that ZUN based Remilia Scarlet's theme off, it's Beethoven: Sonata "Pathetique" Op. 13 - III. Rondo. Allegro.
Remilia on Easy: Remilia on Normal: Pathetique Remilia on Hard: ok ok this is kinda a big deal Remilia on Lunatic: W-T-F-*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!**
Honestly, I at first didn't like this theme, but it grew on me quite a bit, it's amazing to me how if you hear covers of the song or just listen to it from the beginning to the end you can start liking it.
Starting this week, this is gonna be my main phone ringtone after I had my previous one for almost 8 years (Which was the Danganronpa Another Episode Title Screen Theme)
I'm surprised this has the most views of any Touhou character theme, even more than Flandre's, which I NEVER thought would happen. But Septette for the Dead Princess is more than deserving of that popularity. It's such an elegant and varied piece of music.
I've been learning it by ear recently seeing as it was the song that got me into Touhou and it's crazy fun to play. It totally deserves the popularity it's gained over the years.
@@CDJAM-webm No, I'm thinking of the one that has the original at the start and the arragement later. I think the original is more famous. And i was wrong, it has 13M views, still more than this upload.
Over 10 years ago I heard this song... now while definitely not as often I still listen to Touhou music. Whether it be originals, arranges, covers, etc. Thank you for this upload and thank you for an introduction into the community!
I heard a tune from this song today somewhere and went mad trying to figure out where it came from. I cannot describe the feeling I have right now, but there's a lot of chills.
This is my favorite video to hear septette for the dead princess, it was the first video I found when listening to Remilia's theme and the image really fits the music imo. I just love it 🥰
4/24/2022. The very day where I finally 1cc'd this game. It was truly heart-pounding (if that's even a word) as I had literally ZERO lives left. But I triumphed, and I am so happy to finally beat this game after playing it for like almost 2 months. Time flies so fast!
This is written in a extended video: How I see it: At the start of the song, a simple life that was destined to be taken for granted. After the main verse began, a tragic event unfolds where the housemaid witnessed the rites performed by the children destined to be the eternal Scarlet Sisters. The pre chorus details the folly of man attempting to quell the darkness with all they brought, but to no avail as the chorus and crescendo pictures the older sister, scorning her family bloodline, embracing the role fate gave her as she rose from the tragedy in a reluctant but necessary show of force to display to the world that the fated Scarlet Devils have returned. Despite the calling being answered, the older sister vowed to be left alone with her younger sister regardless of how many bodies shall be made in a effort man spent in vain. "So, you must be the Scarlet Devil?" "Are you another bothersome thorn that must be whittled from my garden?" "Time to find out who's that thorn, and whom deserves peace." "Then let me be your last dance partner..."
Despite how many times I've heard this, I hadn't taken the time to just sit back and take in the notes and melody. Every part is perfection. There is not one note I would change. There's a reason this song still gets remixed and featured today. ZUN's music in twenty years hasn't aged a day.
was trying to remember how it went all night at work got home typed it in then before the page EVEN loaded IMMEDIATELY started humming the track my brain is a prick
