I do like the metal in the game, but I totally agree on the uneven split. With all the other little details it does kinda seem to betray itself, even if the music wasn't licensed or anything like that, it would've been nice to just get some generic bubbly pop instead of alot of the forgettable metal tracks they picked. I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to do it that way, considering the money they'd have to pump out in the white girl music era that was the early 2010s, I am not surprised they didn't.
I think it didn't help that the game was already a marketing anomaly and trying to convince a publisher on shipping a violent video game with cheery girl power pop music in the early 2010s was a long shot.
I was sick when I originally recorded the audio, and no cap, I rerecorded my Morty line yesterday since the first one was so putrid. Your comment makes it all worth it lmao
personally I loved the death metal and punk music in the game. I totally understand your points about liking the clashing of themes and why that was so good earlier on and while I agree, I just loved the rest of soundtrack.
Oh god i think i remeber this game idk im not sure. But it definitely looks like a 2010 game for the PS3. Its a shame we dont get games like these all the time. Something that doesnt take its self to seriously and lets you have fun. And not the forced fun like the game where the tutoiral prompts go like "press E to kick ass"
This game is awesome. And I'm hyped for the upcoming remaster Lollipop Chainsaw: RePop. And according to reports most of the game's licensed soundtrack save for the song Lollipop will be replaced by all new songs made just for the remaster due to licensing/rights issues with most of the licensed songs that were on the OG game's soundtrack.
Oh no wonder you didn’t like the majority of the soundtrack. It’s… rock music. I felt I should have counted every time you went “ugh” or “It’s fine I guess”. 😁
I recently started listening to Sleigh Bells albums for the last couple weeks and I thought I was losing my mind when I heard Riot Rhythms. I can't believe you critiqued the game for using fitting music, unbelievable.
The one thing that I know about this game series is that it started the rise of this cosplayer name Jessica Nigri she was the face of lollipop chainsaw Jessica Nigri was in the majority of this games promoting and in the very old commercials for the game and that Juliet is voice by Tara strong and other then that that's all I know about lollipop chainsaw
I loved the game. To myself it felt like the game would be having a sequel. But I don’t think it was ever made. It was entertaining and comedic. Seemed rough from start. But Resident Evil did the same in my own opinion.
I really really liked the boss fights of No More Heroes, everything else was eh. Killer is Dead I played so long ago I don't even remember it, and Killer 7 is still something I need to play.
the problem with the "typical male gamer" thing articles mention is that those kind of gamers aren't playing lollipop chainsaw they're still playing forza and nba... maybe wwe if they're feeling wacky that day
Your opinion on the music i do not agree with on the music, the point was to show the dichotomy of her personality, you don't become a soulless zombie destroying chainsaw wielding master without some rage in your heart, hence the mix of bubbly girl music and metal, because that is Juliet.
Such a great video (as always) I totally agree with the cringe stuff you pointed out (it's annoying when games go into stupid stuff like racial stereotypes or over sexualization (though maybe we're both just old) lol Overall an interesting game and a great review of it well done! Look forward to your next one :)
5:57 do you think maybe it’s a frame rate thing like maybe on the PlayStation 3 when this game came out it was 30 frames per second so you could read it faster but now since you’re playing it on 60 or whatever it goes away faster?
Honestly maybe? But the reason I specifically pointed it out was because I play 360 and PS3 games to this day and don't see that happening with my current setup, but with Lollipop it was egregious and obvious.
Okay, decided to skip chapters and all i can say is: Thou art an zöömer and modern senzibilities make u sounds like a virgin. No hate here but holy "unnecessary" s3nsuali4zation does not exist. :D
@@Dorkaxe We are talking about Suda51 and James Gunn. Japan has "age of consent" of 14. Telling multiple times that Julie just turned 18 is kinda zoomer-mentality to my ears. :D
You whine a lot. Yes, this game was of it's time and the humor was meant to be juvenile. Consider who the game was made for. If you're older now and don't like it, then you've aged out of that, which is fine. Too much nitpicking, though.
My guy, I'm giving the game praise for the vast majority of the video. If any and all discussion of criticism means I'm whining or I'm nitpicking, you gotta grow up a bit.
