LOMO Large 30L Motorcycle Pannier Dry Bags | Our First Look! 

I have three LOMO bags. Absolute quality. And now this new system. Will blow the big boys away.

I have two 6L crash bar bags fitted to the front crash bars. They act as my airbags and are perfect for the job. I dropped my heavy 289kg Honda Crosstourer twice this year; in a tight 180° corner, stalling it and dropping it straight on the right pannier and while going up a 26° gravel slope, rolling backwards and eventually crash down, sliding down backwards, loaded with 60kg of luggage, tent, chairs, beer, everything in it. It broke off the footpeg and damaged the exhaust yet the (bloody)bag was 100% intact, with just a scratch mark on the plastic buckles. Was suppose to act as an airbag but proved to be a little Nokia 3310 in disguise. I'm trading in my rear (TUSK 37L) panniers for these large ones as soon as we can go out riding again. I don't do hardcore offroading, but it has proven it can survive a standstill drop and low speed slide perfectly. And i'm shaving of 2x 6kg of hard pannier weight, which is always nice. I like the low graphical design too, fits my black bike perfectly.

Just got a set of these after watching your vid last year. They had been out of stock for some time and Lomo had me on their waiting list. As soon as they came available they emailed me, I sent an order straight away and they arrived the next day, well impressed. The follow on video you plan to do will be useful. Could you see if that pannier gets damaged by the hot exhaust and also how hot it gets inside too next to the exhaust. Cheers 👍

Great video lads.. I reckon they're good kit alright but surely a receiver plate that is secured on the bike with a quick release mechanism would be the business. Very portable if the removal was easier

Great video guys! I have the smaller 5ltr bags similar design and they are so useful, mine carry tools etc. They are waterproof and the fabric feels really tough. If I didn't have hard panniers I'd get these.

Just wondering - do these fit inside the BMW aluminium panniers ok? Cheaper option than the BMW waterproof liner bags. Just a thought.

They are a faff getting on and off. Solution: buy a couple of cheap gym bags which you can use in these Lomo’s.

I do like that kind of bag but would it not be better if you had one bigger than the other to balance out the look & what about exhaust heat coming of it. I was going for LONERIDER bags but now I’m not sure as limo are a that better price

it looks like it sits very closely to the exhaust - is there any heat issues with them at all being that close compared to panniers?

Do you know if you can also thighten them on the GIVI panier racks?

Any chance of a follow up/update, that you mentioned regards everyday usage, heat resistance etc. Just toying with ideas on luggage. Cheers

A bit of a faff taking them off the bike & putting them back on. Will they split apart when the bike tips over? Will the exhaust melt the fabric?

What is you don’t have the aluminium mounting rack, but only the standard GS mounting point for the vario panniers? Can you see any way to avoid the right bag melting on the exhaust?

Have you done the post Covid yet to ascertain whether or not the exhaust burns the bag?

Just what I am looking for. :-) I've already been on the Lomo site and ordered. Quality looks good and £69 + carriage, seems good value compared to other brands I've been looking at. No mention of rabbits included though :-) Thanks guys.

may i ask, would you recomend a heat shield for the right hand pannier for a 1200gsa LC?

That exhaust side bag is probably already burned as you didn't stand it off enough from the exhaust. Tell me otherwise. Thanks for making this.
