Brought back memories of using Green Line RT’s on the 721 and those Country Area RT’s on the 339’s Brentwood to Harlow back in the 60’s, good old days gone by.
BUF272C is an ex Southdown 'Queen Mary', Leyland PD3 with Northern Counties bodywork, London Country bough a few of these from Southdown when they were experiencing vehicle shortages in the early 1970's.
Nice to see Epping largely unchanged. Epping in Sydney which was named after this one is another story. It went from semi rural in the 50s to all leafy residential with some shops then a handful of office buildings near the railway station to a now proliferating apartment towers with no sympathy to the character of the suburb. Disgusting. Loved the Swift and Reliance coaches. What were those modern buses at the end? They looked like Wright bodies.
Secondly, the modern buses at the end of the video were a Wright bodied Scania L94UA, originally in the PMT fleet, now with Trustybus and a Scania Omnicity, originally with RATP-Dev/London United, now with Central Connect.
@@bobhodgestransportDVDs Great the original Epping hasn't been ruined at least. Those buses were interesting in their own right compared to some of the giant appliances you see elsewhere in the UK nowadays, especially those horrid Optare Solos.
