I catch this short programme whenever I see it advertised on TV. It is one of the best programmes I have seen. I looked it up on here, as I missed the first half of 'Islington'. I am SO delighted to see all the episodes on RU-vid, I have bookmarked and downloaded the Playlist, just looking for a button to subscribe as well ..... My passion is genealogy, and the backbone of good research is knowing your local geography and social history. Since half the folk I research are Londoners by heritage, this is an invaluable resource, and just a joy to watch. I particularly appreciate that some of the less fashionable and even, unloved, districts of London, come alive and hold their own with the the more so-called 'desirable' boroughs in this programme. I learn more about the places I love, and have come to love, via armchair, the locations that are less familiar but of equal historic and social value. This is independent film-making at its very best. A big 'thankyou' to Dewyne Lindsay; your series is a stroke of genius.
Fantastically informative, concise historical series about areas of London which provides a foundation to investigate what is a historically remarkable city of many layers covering more than 2000 years. Can see that a lot of work has been invested into the series and deservedly, it's now being serialized on 'London Live' TV channel. Well done Mr Lindsay.
You make so wonderful videos of this bautiful city! It helps me to learn more about it and I can visit more interesting places. Please more videos! Thank you so much! :-)
